I still don't get why the puppets can hop at all. They should be able to climb over low objects (fences, windows, cars, etc.) that players can easily climb over, but they really shouldn't be able to jump much, especially not jumping over a moving vehicle. Even reanimated by the BCU implant, they're still a corpse and therefore should not be more athletic than the living players. I'd personally like to see a setting that makes all the puppets slower (say about as fast as the heavier puppets) and unable to jump, but harder to kill, maybe even requiring headshots to kill them (because you'd have to destroy the BCU implant that's controlling the puppet).
I'm thinking I'll try a few quests and settle on a base location. Maybe we'll come across a cruiser while out doing whatever it is we'll be doing for the quests. Or if not, I could potentially buy a cruiser once we have enough money saved up. I'd much rather salvage one, though, rather than buy a new one.
Its best to unpack bolts and nails from their boxes. A box takes up the same space as 2 stacks of bolts or nails. The boxes tend to come with less than 20 items and prevent you from stacking any that you find.
I hadn't thought about the math of bolts like that, but you're absolutely right. The only drawback is taking the time to pull them out one at a time, then stacking them all one at a time. If I actually start hunting for bolts, I will try to remember your advice. Thank you!
I will try to remember that! I rarely think about the wind turbines since I'm not usually down that far south. Maybe I should make a base down there sometime. There are 2 traders down that way to get work from, the trainyard down there is good for military loot, and the torpedo factory is a gold mine for weapons.
Hi, did I miss an episode or did you not go to the northern Train Yard? Wheelbarrows are considered vehicles. Your stamina drops really quickly. My character can jog all day long and his stamina goes down quite slowly. I have Stamina and Endurance both at medium, I think you once said that’s what yours are set to also. Quick note: you do not need to go prone to recover your stamina, just kneel down. That way if you get attacked you can get up much faster. *! You missed the motorbike at 43:00 at the end of the building. It was just a blur so I couldn’t tell if it was a dirt bike or a cruiser. 😮😮 You can fly the drone from the Main Menu, unfortunately I don’t remember exactly how. I’ll check it out when I get back to my computer. If you want to do a snow biome, I think C2 would be a good choice . You have the prison, coal mine, observatory, a city with a police station, the lake for fishing and of course the traders. I think the GoodishGame built a base SE of the trader at a small boat house in C2. Speaking of C2. Are you aware of the “goat trail” leading from the north end of the dam down to C3? It is hidden but drivable though a bit narrow. As for watching you questing to find vehicle parts, I don’t mind being along for the journey and for me you don’t need to cut out driving from one location to the next (unless it’s really far). Best bet for weapons would be of course, the Torpedo/Weapon factory.
I did not do the trainyard yet. The quarry sounded like it had more vehicle spawns, so I went there first. I don't know if it still works this way or not, but it used to be that stamina would regen faster if you're prone than crouched. I timed it before and prone was noticeably faster than crouched. As far as the stamina consumption, yes I have both running and endurance at medium. Is the jog duration perhaps affected by carry weight or the amount of gear you have on? Also, I often sprint, especially since the movement rework, so that may very well be why my stamina decreases so quickly. Going back and watching the video, I can't tell on the bike either. I may have to go back and check it. I'm glad you spotted it. I may check out that spot in C2 for a base. I'm still leaning towards the lake house that I used last season, but build down the hill next to the lake, but we'll see. One problem with the snow biome is the motorcycles don't handle well at all on the snowy roads, and if I'm wanting to run a cruiser, that makes a difference. Yes, I'm aware of the goat trail. I've driven a quad and a dirt bike down that trail. Never tried it with a car. I was planning to hit the Torpedo Factory once we got some wheels, so we may head that way soon. That place is by far the best bet for finding the SCAR-L.
@@FlailyMcFlailersonAs for kneeling vs. prone I found the stamina recovery time difference negligible. The laying down/standing up animation takes longer than the animation for kneeling/standing so the quicker stamina recovery of laying is offset. Conclusion: Kneeling is pretty-much as good as laying down with the added bonus of getting back up quickly in case of an attack makes it safer. IMHO Re base: If you have multiple flags turned on nothing says you can’t have both a summer base AND a winter base. (If you’re willing to put in the time and resources to build two). That location you like at the summer lake IS a beautiful location. I have driven a Rager up and down the goat trail, thought I usually get a few dings in narrow spots. That motorbike looked too wide for a dirt-bike, though it was just a 1 second blur, if it’s a Cruiser I think it has no wheels. 🤷♂️ Here’s hoping for you.😊
I'm sorry to hear that. My grandfather had multiple back surgeries done and he said after a few years, he was worse off than if he hadn't had the surgeries. Right now, I'm still functional, just in (usually) manageable pain, so I'm not even considering surgery unless it gets to the point that I can't function at all.
Move that wheel barrow that is considered a vehicle
Funny when especially the heavier puppets hop 😂

If you go to the torpedo factory then check out the wind turbines. As you know there are always vehicles there.

In case you haven’t found out how to use Drone mode yet… from the main menu press control-D and the continue button.
D0 is an outdoor location . There's garage bays open . Vehicles spawn there . Plus it has good loot
I'll have to check it out now that we have wheels.
Got requests to up puppets they are at two

I went back to check that motorbike, and it was a dirtbike with absolutely no parts whatsoever. Stripped bare 😟

I have the bad back as well . They wanna do total spinal fusion on me . I feel your pain

Cornflakes rule
They seem to be the best food you can find in SCUM. I always grab them if they're still edible.
