@@donpetry5938 love it!!! It was late getting here with the shortages but we are in love. Heading to Oregon beach this Tuesday. Let me know when you get yours. It was worth the wait.
I LOVE the layout of this unit, but the more you have, the more can go wrong. I have a 26 foot no slide unit and they appear to be more "bulletproof", not as fancy/big as this, but I like not having problems. I am so torn if I want the extra room or a trouble free camping experience. In the end, going camping for me is about the destination, so I think I will stay with my no slide unit, but someday if I upgrade, this is the unit for me...
Are you sure about your comments on the fresh water tank overflow pipe. First question has to do with the overflow pipe inside the tank. Does that overflow have a pipe that goes to the bottom of the tank inside. If so your comment about siphoning is correct however I doubt it is piped inside, most tank overflows are just attached to the wall of the tank and do not have a pipe inside. Thus siphoning is not a concern. The second question is the overflow pipe the vent as well. If so the last thing you want to do is cap it off, this may be the tanks only vent, if it is and its capped you would pressurize the tank and water lines when filling it causing damage to seals a cap would cause the tank to collapse when pumping out water out of it. I would never recommend capping the overflow, if the manufacturer didn't do it they probably had a reason. Love the drain valve on the fresh water tank, most don't have that. Thanks for advertising for Grand Design just bought this unit, excited to spend some time in it.
Towed my camper to Ocean City and when I arrived to spend a night boondocking I didn't have any showing in the tank. It was well below the 1/3. The reason I tried was I didn't believe it when a customer told me it happened to someone they knew who went to a Dover race. Now my water tank is in the rear and gets all the movement.
This is an absolutely wonderful video! Your camera work is great and it’s just as long as it needs to be. I have been looking everywhere to find out if there are enough outlets, and what it’s like to open and close the slides. Thank you so very much for all the useful information.
Love the unit but it’s too big for me, would love to see a review of a Grand Design Imagine XLS 17mke when you get one. Also, love all your helpful tips and hints when you show the units. Thank you!
Great video. Very informative. Would like to ask a couple questions. Do the awnings work on separate switches? Could we bring in one and leave the other extended? Also when bringing the kitchen slide out or in can that awning remain open or closed. Really a excellent video this gentleman knows his stuff. And also this looks a great unit. Thanks so much. We enjoyed it. Mike
love your thorough reviews. very helpful now that we can't attend rv shows. enjoy checking out all the features of a big rig, but we love our little travel trailer.
Dave, I'm not perfect, but it is more about the information that I give, than it is about the camera work. I am a one man show and do this is my off time. Thanks for watching!
This is by far the best video i have seen. It explains and teaches so much. Thank you
Wow, thank you!
Best review and explanation of the 2970rl!
Our 2022 arrives in about 40 days...so great to have a practical demo that is clear. Thanks so much!

The video is too long!
Too long for you and not long enough for others. You can increase the speed of the video or scrub forward as needed. Thanks for watching
Pitiful camera work
