As someone who has spent about 10 hours with the scout 800, can confirm I spent most of that time upside down and trying to winch myself back onto my wheels
I agree but you can make it less tippy if you DONT take the roof addons & DONT take the highest suspension, also towing a scout fuel tank is recommended.
@@quigonjinn3567 Yes, fortunately, the ingame physics works at all. The "real" Scout 800 has 2.2 tons weight, ingame settings 2800. The cabin is hollow, so the center of mass setting must be low in the chassis. If you change that it suddenly gets "okish". Was one of my first tweaked trucks in the game, that works even with near vanilla settings.
Oh my God I tried using the scout to climb the mountains in Michigan and it took me 10 tries.. I switched to the Chevy and I got it in the first try lol... But then I sold them both and got that ratchet dually that's really good.
Creating a "bond" with my vehicles is important to me, as you stated. I end up keeping a lot of the early trucks over later and better ones only because they had been with me for a long time.
I'm the same way, I bonded with my Zikz from the instant I got it. And I know the Tuz 420 Tatarin is the best scout, but sometimes I just gotta go and use my Loadstar 1700. I just like those old-fashioned vehicles. What can I say, I'm born southern, I'm gonna die southern.
I personally found the Royal BM17 to be a brilliant truck, I avoided it for a long time because of the lack of diff-locks, but I drive it all the time now because it acts like it has LSD (Limited Slip Differential), which essential makes it an automatic diff-lock
BM17 is better than the other trucks he has in the video of the same class,ANK and Paystar are unstable, avoid raised suspension in BM17 and that's all. Ford F750 is a horrible scout, there is no way i could use it for support when it has no power to avoid to get stuck. Loadstar 1700 is better
I avoided the BM17 this first time I played this. I went with the HX520. Had to restart the game cause I lost data…. Found the BM17 and it is my go to for most jobs now.
One thing I really love about this game (Played Spintires and Mudrunner in the past, newbie in Snowrunner) is that everyone has a reasonable different opinion on trucks and I absolutely love it. Bonding with the truck is very strange but also very true. I have most of the DLC trucks, so I have a huge advantage to start with (Mainly Tatra and Mastodon), but I absolutely love the White WS and the Fleetstar. Both are like mountain goats, they sound really good and the driving position on both is very decent (I play with Steering wheel and in first person). I know they are not the best trucks at all but so far they are doing everything I wanted from them.
You get the Fleetstar F2070A heavy duty truck free at your first garage which is great for just starting out. If you want to save money for something else. I've used it to get just about anywhere on the map.
Everybody’s hating on the royal, but despite it not having diff lock it really gets around. Another comment here says that it could have a limited slip differential which I believe. It also has a large bed for its class and as far as I can tell it has some of the most attachments in the game. As for the tippyness, I say that’s a skill issue. I’ve spent quite a few hours with it now and I rarely tip it over, often I do have to take a bit of a weird line to avoid sideways inclines. Also it’s FAST
The tayga 6436 is my favorite by far, with the raised suspensions, highrange gearbox and mud tires I go everywhere really fast. I did almost all the base game with it to 100%.
I'm kinda surprised you didn't mention Dan 96320. I slept on it for a long while after getting it as a quest reward on Taymyr, but decided to give it a shot while looking for a powerful truck to use with a semi-trailer, and man I loved it. It's fast, capable on any terrain, has many addons, has low center of mass (very stable), and also has a decent fuel capacity. Overall very versatile truck that is also extremely pleasant to drive.
Azov 64131 is probably the best Offroad truck in the game, it can equip all addons while Tayga cannot. Slow but can get you anywhere. Decent fuel consumption. Tayga is quite thirsty. Edit: Ok stop screaming at me just because the Tayga is so fast and the Azov isn't
The 64131s 47 inch tires make it nearly useless in Imandra or Amur. In Amur you're using the 605R (or Kolob until you get the 605R), the 73210, one of the big Tatras, 745C, Tatarin, Tayga and the 6900TS and not much else. You really only use the Tayga for when you have to pull a low saddle. The ANK and 5319 don't carry enough fuel. The Vorons are too tippy and don't carry enough fuel. The American trucks other than the 745C, 6900TS and 5600TS are useless in Amur, the new Derry would probably be good, but you typically won't have it in Amur unless you skip to phase 9.
@@applejack2567 If you're sticking the Tayga then you're using it wrong. You need to be pretty on top of quickly switching between high, low+ and low on the Tayga to keep its momentum up, as a light truck you need to keep it on top of mud. Auto on the Tayga is for pavement. The Vorons are generally tippier and worse handling than the Tayga and no better in mud.
It's still good, it's still a much more nimble truck than the 605R or the Azovs and rock crawls really well. It's just thirsty and you need to be on top of your shifting between high, low+ and low to keep it moving. It definitely doesn't make sense that the Azov 73210 and the two big Tatras use way less fuel
@@lizhang5347 Compared to most other trucks it's pretty stable. the vorons and any US truck are WAY more tippy. The only really truly stable trucks are the 605R, the 73210, the Tatras and the Kolobs.
The Chevrolet Apache is the best scout when it comes to rocky terrain and rocks in the mud. Very stable, but thirsty with all-wheel drive and snow gearbox. When I played the Taimyr map a long time ago, I didn’t like it. There is a lot of liquid mud there, and it is difficult for him to pass through. So, when I was exploring the Amur and Columbia and there TUZ and YAR turned over or stumbled on rocks - the Apache showed itself to be perfect
I'm glad you're exploring the best and worst trucks in each class in SnowRunner! It's always helpful to know which ones to rely on and which ones to avoid. Happy trucking! 💪🚛
To me, 605r, Derry Special and 5600TS are the legendary trio. Aside from that, generally speaking: 605r, DS, Twinsteers, Kolobs, 745C, Tatarin & F750 is all you need for the entire game. Stick to those above mentioned vehicles and you can beat every single thing in the game with little effort. Just make sure the said vehicle is fully upgraded and enjoy the ride.
@@stevesotherdogg Haha. Well now it's the KW 963, 612H, Derry Special, 605r , The Twinsteers, Burlak 6X6 and Kolob 74760. That will allow you to beat every single map with not too much difficulty. Just fully upgrade them all and have the time of your life 😄
Highway - Yeah sure I can agree to that. It should be noted though the MH9500 AWD is locked behind DLC, you need to find it in the Season 1 Kola region. So that could make the 57X better for those who don't have that DLC. Heavy Duty - I'd vote for the White Western being the best myself. I've never had any issue with the CT681, I think having the dead axle in the lifted position has actually stopped me from bottoming out from time to time. But I use it for short logs exclusively and always have paired with the 49X (my other short log truck). I don't know if the White can do the triple combo, I've never cared for the triple combo and only have cranes on a handful of trucks. So all my trucks can tow trailers because most don't have cranes. Kodiak I agree is fair for worst in class. Heavy - I agree Zikz 605R is one of the best in the game all around. That said if you got a 8-slot trailer needing to be moved, the best choice is a KOLOB with the Season... I think it 2 active suspension. While there are a few high saddles that sit taller then the KOLOB, the KOLOB has both good height AND the necessary girth/mass to be able to force that trailer though places. I've gotten 8-Slots places with the Cabover KOLOB that I promise you aren't getting with the 605R. But outside that specific use, yeah the 605 is better. As for worst, well yeah it has to be the 770G, no argument there. Offroad - I knew Tayga would be the pick. It's not a bad truck, I use it sometimes but I've always found that truck very overrated. Personally I like the Voron's more. While most go for the Grad, the Voron-D actually became a favourite of mine. Objectively however one of the Azov's are the best, both the 8X8 and 10X10 outshine the Tayga or any 6X6 by quite a margin, they are just objectively better more capable trucks with good size fuel tanks while being very efficient. Royal is fair for the worst. Scouts - Someone else spreading lies about the CAT TH I see. It's true cranes are better for lifting, but go to the garage and take the boom off the CAT, it becomes an extremely capable scout. I even scouted out large amounts of Kola and Amur with the CAT, it's crazy cable in mud as well as very fuel efficient, it may only have a 110L tank but said 110L will allow the CAT to cover a bloody lot of ground. I wouldn't say it's the best scout, as long as you avoid high centering on the rocks the Tatarin is indeed better. But the CAT is very overlooked and underappreciated for just how good of a scout it is. It's certainly not the worst. The Scout 800 is indeed bad for tipping. I can't believe people actually compare it to the Chevy CK1500, the CK is one of the best small 4X4 scouts in the game, maybe the Gor and Marshall with their special tires beats it, otherwise CK destroys every other small 4X4 in the game. Scout 800 has no right being compared to the Chevy. I don't agree with all your choices, but overall solid list dude.
@@HornedPandaWasTaken No it don't. OK sure it's slow, it can't hold auto well. I'll give you that. But it's near unstoppable in mud, very stable, very fuel efficient, and has a very tight turning circle. If you don't mind mucking along in Low+ or from time to time High (not that it adds that much speed in a Advanced gearbox anyway), then the CAT TH far from sucks at scouting.
WWS 4964 can't do the trailer, bed and crane triple combo, but I'm in agreement with you that the triple combo is overrated anyway. If I need that much space, I'd just go crane + low saddle and get a 5-slot sideboard semi trailer. That being said, the 4964 is a good truck to have a crane on anyway, as its' wider body makes it more stable when winching loads.
@@Tyrranis You know I don't even know the last time I used my Tatra Force, and Bandit I only used recently to complete a contest in Season 10. I've actually switched over to using big cranes a lot more these days. I've used the DAN a lot in Season 8, 9 and 10 with the big yellow crane. Even made some use of the Western Star with the double dead axle which I have the big red crane on. Tried to give the P12 the new Season 10 crane but so far results has been lacking luster. P12 is so weird. You set it up to haul long logs, it can actually do that job well. Try to do ANY other job with it, saddle high, nope. Fuel can, nope. New crane, nope. Like I may be mistaken but weren't logs supposed to be one of the heavier cargo's? Then why can the P12 actually handle logs, but run out of power and can't do literally any other job but just logs? But yeah even if not the most efficient way, there is just something I really like about the big cranes. I might also change my vote for worst highway truck to the HX 520 as well. I've been using the Kodiak as a car hauler (rollback) for when I wanna have fun (which is often) and not just lazier winch tow a vehicle behind the Tatarin (which is faster). Kodiak even lifted in surprisingly stable, it seems to have plenty of power (at least for rollback usage) and is actually quite capable offroad. Meanwhile every time I use the HX I feel disappointed, it feels like it really struggles offroad and gets stuck easier than most other trucks. The CAT's are good, the GMC's are good, White Western is always good, I've gotten a whole new appreciation for the Chevy. But the International is kinda just meh.
My top 3 is Bandit with mud tyres, Tatra 813 and Tayga I've found in Russia. Best scouter for me is Apache, it fit on my 813+articulated towing, i can explore the entire map and rescue trucks with this combo. I use bandit for almost everything, if bandit fails then 813, long log works is done by Tayga. Would try other trucks out of boredom.
The worst part about many trucks especially the starter trucks is that they generally suck unless u hunt for there specific upgrades and if your unlucky the upgrade u want may not even be found on the same continent and thats just absurd game design even if it was added with a DLC. I love the game but when your best strategy is to scout rush every single unlocked map and region just to be able to make a truck good then your game progression is broken. The first truck u get the GMC MH9500 isent terrible, sure no1 expects it to be a mud monster but it can be made into a decent support truck if u want it to be. But only after u get its AWD upgrade which happen to be locked behind a DLC and can only be found in Russia. The very first cargo truck u get has its most important upgrade for it to be even usable hidden on the other side of the planet. Its not even close to a watchtower so unless u use something like Maprunner to find a specific upgrade u would have no ide where to even start to look for it. If u eventually were to find it once u reached Russia assuming u have the DLC to begin with u would have ditched that GMC long time ago so whats the point of even putting it there in the first place. Same goes for the Western Star 6900 TwinSteer. That truck can be decent without its AWD upgrade after u upgrade those tires ofc. But if u wanna keep using it past the starting region u need that AWD which is also found on a Russian DLC map and in a corner with no watchtower in range or any mission what so ever making u drive in range to se it. So again if u dont already know where it is good luck finding it without using Maprunner. Any truck found or designed to be used in 1 region should have there upgrades also found in that region even if they just happened to be behind a blocked tunnel or something. I would say engines would be an exception to this rule as so many trucks share those that it would be impossable to do that.
I agree, starting out you only have vehicles and tyres (oh the tyres!) available that are extraordinary unfit to deal with that amount of mud and the terrain in those maps. Also the tutorial sending you to Alaska as a last step is kind of trolling. Alaska in the middle of winter with THAT equipment... sure. It's such a pain and only gets better over time as you unlock more equipment and tyres, especially for the trucks that takes a few levels. I also agree that it's a shame you have to scout different regions to have the necessary upgrades to finish the first one.
Yeah, Fleetstar with engine from Alaska + higher suspension and proper tires is one of best all around vehicle in game. Definitely early/mid game truck to have on a new save.
I'm pretty much in agreement with most of it. I would prefer the Tayga B just because of the crane, but that's not much to worry about. Everything else seems to be about right, but you could find a use for any truck, you just gotta be creative :)
I use the scout 800 regularly. It is so light it goes over all mud and snow. I just have the winch with its own power to pull myself up after it tips over. And it’s roof rack is huge
As an all rounder the ZiKZ 612H is probably the best for me at the moment. It has all the attachments you can think about (you can add a crane and a 2x bed which you cant do with 605) has a 500L tank and roof rack with additional repair kits and more fuel. The only downside is the speed and the long nose but if I had to choose 1 truck that does it all this is it.
It's an easy 2nd best truck in the game behind the 605R. Has the 2nd best addon selection behind the 5600TS, but doesn't flip over if you sneeze on it like the TS. Also doesn't have the 5600TS's insane appetite for fuel. The 605R gets top spot because NOTHING can touch it in terms of off road performance, it simply can do things no other truck can manage.
@@brendenburke272 Both the Twin steers flip very easily (the Western Star and the International). they also have the highest fuel consumption of any truck, both are equally thirsty as they have the same top engine (which tracks for RL too, the 5600TS is almost exclusively running a cummins ISX15 and the 6900TS usually runs either a CAT C15 or Cummins ISX15 depending on age and how the buyer specced it).
@@mrvwbug4423 i know I'm not new to the game but many of us vets who play the game never exactly mentioned any thing about the international being top heavy or tippy even with the raised kit and 50s the truck is very stable even at high speeds
There is a trailer pack mod by Gaskellgames that modifies the rock trailer for the 770g into a 4 slot cargo trailer. It's still not the best truck but at least you can now use the truck and trailer for other missions.
Broooo the Royal is an absolute beast even without diff lock and with hardly any upgrades I was flying around in that thing going places my upgraded fleet star and partially upgraded Tayga struggled and the reverse engine sound is just music in the ear
Derry Special is a great truck that can have a crane and flatbed (something the ZikZ can't do). Most powerful motor in the game. Gears feel better than the ZikZ while towing heavy loads. Wider tires when using MHS, and it's Low+/dif lock is decent speed. Access to chained mud tires. Active suspension is helpful also. I started to love this truck when I was using it to get the Zikz in Amur, and it keeps impressing me.
While Tatarin is easily the best scout in mud and snow, it's woeful over rocks. Tons of wheels and weak suspension travel mean it handles like a skateboard in rocky areas. Then when you add in how big and heavy it is, I'd rather drive the Yar 87 nine times out of ten.
I've had Royal BM17 and Scout 800 as my mains, as my favourites for such a long time, I really thought they were nice even with them being trippy. Now, after switching, I just think of them as the bullshiest trucks, but still they are in my heart as an old good friends💀❤
Yes the Royal BM17 is a Very Good Truck. It dont have a Diff but he dont need it. This Truck driving through all Terrain and really dont need a Diff-lock.❤❤
1:26 I found the 57x was really good for off-roading for a highway truck and I was pulling a lowboy with 2 trucks on it, it may not have as much add ons though
i personally think that the cat scout is not the worst cause it handles mud ok and for lifting heavier things it is good cause when i have used a crane many times it is just weak while the loader has lots of power. that is why i acutally use the cat scout.
I don’t think people give the original gmc enough credit. I have used that truck so much and have put it through things that some of the other trucks couldn’t drive through. One of my def favorites.
For scouting I started to use the burlak 6x6 more often. It's lights create a nice view at night and it's overall pretty solid with everything. Oh and regarding the Royal BM17... I wouldn't say it's the baddest truck of its class. It can be okay, but the ANK is even worse than the BM17 just because it only has that damn flatbed and nothing else. The ANK civilian just replaces it completely.
Solid choices. Kodiak has strongest engine at the start, but upgrades are harder to get than new trucks. For me, having the saddle low set _behind_ the rear axle is an idiotic design leading to a heavy load levering up the front making it leapfrog and lift the front wheels so you lose steering and crash. For scout Tatra 805 is worth considering. Longest range of all and can attach truck trailers.
I think that there is an important factor that you haven't taken into account here, which are upgrades. Many of the Russian scout vehicles without upgrades are absolutely useless, stalling and dropping gears on flat asphalted terrain. The Cat scout however is incredible! Take the arm off of it and you have easily one of the best scout vehicles in the entire game without needing any upgrades at all. Huge mud tires and a powerful engine allow the cat to do jobs that many trucks can't do, including pulling other trucks out of swamps etc. I used to hate the Cat TH because I tried to use it for loading, don't, it's awful, however as a scout vehicle it is genuinely one of the best along side the YAR and Tatarin.
The ANK MK38 is actually REALLY overpowered surprisingly. And the Tatarin and the Hummer H2 are one of the best, I’m saying the Hummer, because the Hummer is actually really good and It immediately comes with one of the best scout tires.
The only time I use the Royal was the construction rig semi trailer mission on the port map but it was a terrible choice bceause the trailer fliped onto its side not even a mile away form were you get it
The most underrated car of the game Scout 800. And once more a rating/opinion highly based on persons ability to drive instead of the car performance. Yes, Scout 800 is tippy and you need to be aware of that but after that it really wont roll over if you know what you are doing. Scout runs really well and handles good when you keep your speed under control. And you can do that cause the car works and goes where you want without pushing. Totally different than the entry Chevy. Scout is also so much better when pullong a trailer than Chevy. And then the biggest game changer the fuel economy. With one tank on Scout you can cover sooooo much area and that is what the scout cars are basicly for.
I was disappointed with the Ford scout. Kept getting stuck and hung up on rocks, but is a great "utility". Wanted to make it work though cause others raved about it, but just couldn't. The loadstar was my star until I found the tartarin.
Something I did as a personal challenge was to use only the F750 for as much of the as possible except when I needed a light scout to tow a specific trailer or a heavy truck with a 5th wheel to tow a mission trailer. Lots of fun with that truck.
Royal BM17 is one of the best offroad trucks, it has a limited slip differential, with the fine tune gearbox it is a beast, and use it with semi trailers, it is awesome with semitrailers the stability is awesome with semi-trailers
I keep hearing that tha Tatarin is supreme in scouting. I juss did awl tha missions to unlock that map last night, n I'm literally goin to find it after posting this content, but; tha renegade has been my go to up to this point. Aside from tha insanely low fuel tank capacity, that lil thing can go anywhere. It can never flip my big trucks back over tho, but exploring and pulling stuff out tha mud? Go wit tha renegade until you get tha 8x8 scout.... Now currently, my work horse is tha heavy duty fleetstar f20a7, but I'm searching for an upgrade/ replacement in that category... Any suggestions? 😅💯
how, it doesnt have always on diff lock and awd, has less fuel and repair, doesnt even have much better addons, tips easier and has worse mud performance
@@teddo9615 if you're talking about the DS 15c-177 if you're not than I don't know why I'm writing this but it does have always on AWD just has switchable diff lock, same fuel tank capacity and burn rate, same add ons with slightly more and more versatile, yes it does have less spare parts and fuel in the roof rack, and yes it's mud performance isn't the best.
8:36 I'd disagree on BM17. It's bad on paper but in real action it's marvelous. I has a small turning radius so it can be utilised as a scout of sorts, it can climb incredible slopes at speed and it works better than it should. I then had better trucks but you can have a BM17 early and in that stage it's immaculate workhorse that helps you gain momentum in the game. For me, it's one of favorite trucks.
my girlfriend drives a ford focus and the throttle response is horrible compared to my 2005 z4. I always wondered why it was. Cost-cutting? Seems strange that, by your example, heavy trucks would suffer the same fate
@@Vlamyncksken well the diesel in the telehandler isn’t meant for highway driving, doesn’t have to be quick. Most construction equipment isn’t quick, they’re set up for low end grunt to help run the hydraulics for the boom. In reference to the focus and your Z4 horsepower and torque combined with the higher weight of the focus compared to your car is going to make a difference as well as different transmission and rear end gearing. Same reason 2 identical cars throttle response could be different say one truck is has 3.73 gears compared to 4.10 or 4.11 the wheels have to turn more times for the lower gearing than the higher gearing so the 3.73 rear end is going to feel like it gets going quicker than the 4.10 or 4.11 gears, then you’ve got the lag between drive by wire and drive by cable throttle bodies. There’s a lot that goes into throttle response but is what it is
@@zackswigeart768 great explanation! I didn't consider the fact construction vehicles are diesel-powered. It makes sense, though. Diesel engines make less rpm and thus horsepower, but more torque. I'm conflicted about the drive by wire vs cable throttle. I'd say an electric system would be more responsive, though a cable should react to the pedal immediately, as well. I have some old motorcycle which has a cable throttle and that thing has a huge deadzone because the cable isn't that tight. It creates a kind of off/on throttle response. But I digress. Again, great info
@@Vlamyncksken so I thought the same thing about being drive by wire but turns out there’s a lag between the throttle sensor and throttle body actuator which given how electricity and signals work it makes sense where as with a drive by cable set up the throttle cable is attached directly to the throttle and throttle body so any tension on the pedal is going to open up the butterfly valves in the throttle body. I know a guy that tunes race cars and street cars that explained it to me a while back.
Best Highway truck * GMC MH9500 Best Heavy Duty Truck * International HX 520 Best Heavy Truck * ZikZ 605R Best Offroad Truck * Tayga 6436 Best Scout Truck * TUZ 420 ”Tatarin” And * Ford F750
Picks two best scout trucks and neither of them can tow scout trailers 🤦🏼♂️ I agree the scout is tippy, however also like it’s narrowness for completing to tasks finding locations, have also found it ascended inclines relatively easily. Load star for general scouting and scout for tasks with harder to reach reach places. It might rip at times but it is also easy to get back on its wheels Buts the great thing about the game is picking vehicles we like, enjoy driving and suit our play style
Yeah i needed to pull something out of a deep trench almost and nothing worked but i got the ANK Civilian and it pulled it right out. The fueltank is small though but it isn't that bad
@@boneshakerjake Thanks for the correction, you're right. I didn't buy it I just found it lying around so didn't look at the category. It's so laughably tiny I treat it like a super scout, it can basically do everything except rock crawling and the real narrow channels. "Disqualified!" - David Bowie (Zoolander)
I think the CAT TH357 is a great scout. Just remove the forks and you will be amazed how well it handles harsh terrain. Now, both of your "best" scout trucks can't attach scout trailers, so they don't fit. To me the best scout is the International Loadstar.
I'm willing to die on the hill that the Royal has a shot to be the best offroad truck, While it is tippy I think that is just a skill issue, as a newer player I have mained this truck for a bit and found good success with the truck over even the tayga
The International Transtar 4070A is one of the best trucks. Most people don't use it at all because you know... it's old and small, has no AWD or difflock. But when you use it correctly, it is very capable and reliable. Sure, the cargo options are very limited, but for one or two slot cargos, it takes you almost everywhere fast. That said, it works best if you use a steering wheel and pedal setup. I use it often when I need to transport just that last bit of a bigger mission, that I couldn't fit on the big trucks. It's perfect for that. Just don't hook a trailer to it and try to haul that extra weight. Just... don't. :D
The most important thing in snowrunner is sound! A truck game with no engine sound is like a shooter with no bullets. I paid for the new season to have the game sound fail. Unplayable & totally unacceptable. These devs should face lawsuits. Blatant theft in the untouchable new world of modern companies. Hide behind the internet & make it extremely difficult to complain, get a refund or justice & keep profiting from it.
Honestly aside from a few comments I feel like a lot of people sleep on the azov 73210 to me I put this truck on the same level as the 605r because of its versatility and almost capable of going through any terrain because of it 10 wheels I have never used a truck more than the 73210 I have done logging, deliveries, and even hauled some of the big special trailers with almost no issues to me my number 1 would be the 73210 then 605r in close second just for the fact that the 605r can’t get stuck
yeah, the main 2 problems with the 73210 are its low speed, and its low front, but the low front is also a big advantage, as it results in a very low center of mass. This truck is useful and simply does not care about terrain, as long as there's not a rock blocking its chin, besides that, the 3 axle steering also means it can still steer pretty well, even when the front axles are lifted off the ground
One of the best scouts in the game is the Khan Lo4f and isn't even mentioned. That said, this does look like a list of trucks for zoomers, ie. the ones that will go fastest in any given situation. If you ever decide to play on hard mode, or you know, have fun, plenty of other and some better options to choose from.
As someone who has spent about 10 hours with the scout 800, can confirm I spent most of that time upside down and trying to winch myself back onto my wheels
As its center of mass settings are junk. The "cabin" is simulated as a homogeneous mass like if its filled with concrete.
BM17 is a bad offroad truck for him?
It's way better than Paystar or ANK.
@@evergreengaming2.053damn straight brother
Not agree
I personally found the Royal BM17 to be a brilliant truck, I avoided it for a long time because of the lack of diff-locks, but I drive it all the time now because it acts like it has LSD (Limited Slip Differential), which essential makes it an automatic diff-lock
Try using the Royal BM17 with the Highway gearbox & normal lift kit NOT the custom tuned one.
@@nunosantos00did you not get the best engine for the 750? How can you say that thing’s underpowered?
@@panther-nk2hn Later i got it but without that engine it was in garage.
I just unlocked it and have been doing a few missions with it and its taken me everywhere so far, im happy with that one
I like the kodiak for certain jobs as it is actually much smaller than other trucks so it can operate in tight areas really well
I'm kinda surprised you didn't mention Dan 96320.
@Raheem Stephens Ok yeah, but we're not even talking about something related to the 5600TS
@Raheem Stephens The Tayga is literally thirsty af. Try it out.
But the tayga is just fast innit
@@albertduckett8591 It's a slow game.
The Tayga used to be good before they nerfed it. Now it is very underpowered and thirsty.
How was Tayga nerfed please? I play now taymyr on hard but for is Voron D best.... Tayga is almost always stuck in mud.
Another issue of Tayga now is that it’s tippy. For hard maps, stability is the #1 merit for trucks.
@@lizhang5347 Compared to most other trucks it's pretty stable. the vorons and any US truck are WAY more tippy. The only really truly stable trucks are the 605R, the 73210, the Tatras and the Kolobs.
Driving the scout feels like driving the World Trade Center and every little bump on the road is like an airplane
💀💀💀
Perfect comment bro. I’m just now hopping on 😂
@@stevesotherdogg Haha. Well now it's the KW 963, 612H, Derry Special, 605r , The Twinsteers, Burlak 6X6 and Kolob 74760.
That will allow you to beat every single map with not too much difficulty. Just fully upgrade them all and have the time of your life 😄
@@hermanjohnson9180thanks again!
I don't agree with all your choices, but overall solid list dude.
the cat scout sucks lol
@@HornedPandaWasTaken No it don't. OK sure it's slow, it can't hold auto well. I'll give you that. But it's near unstoppable in mud, very stable, very fuel efficient, and has a very tight turning circle.
If you don't mind mucking along in Low+ or from time to time High (not that it adds that much speed in a Advanced gearbox anyway), then the CAT TH far from sucks at scouting.
but you have to have the wolf Pack DLC. So anyhow GMC and 57x are both best due to DLC
Fix it by new game + have all upgrades unlocked so only limit is money.
@@Fire91ful To late for that now and i have already scouted out the first 6-7 regions and finished 3 regions so no point in starting over now.
Scout and Fleetstar are really good vehicles, for me Fleetstar is among the best heavy duty trucks.
Yeah, Fleetstar with engine from Alaska + higher suspension and proper tires is one of best all around vehicle in game. Definitely early/mid game truck to have on a new save.
Fleetstar 🤘
Im glad there isnt wind in the game because that scout 800 would probably blow over lol
The only use the forklift has I could find was to clear rocks off the road after clearing rock slides works great for it 😂
It's a tellehandler
I'm pretty much in agreement with most of it. I would prefer the Tayga B just because of the crane, but that's not much to worry about. Everything else seems to be about right, but you could find a use for any truck, you just gotta be creative :)
Huh 🤔

I use the scout 800 regularly. It is so light it goes over all mud and snow. I just have the winch with its own power to pull myself up after it tips over. And it’s roof rack is huge
the Bm17 is also very good for drag races having a really good accelleration and best top speed in the game
For the offroad I have to agree they are a heck of a beast they can get out of any situation if you know how to use them
Azov 73210 not even mentioned?
It's an easy 2nd best truck in the game behind the 605R. Has the 2nd best addon selection behind the 5600TS, but doesn't flip over if you sneeze on it like the TS. Also doesn't have the 5600TS's insane appetite for fuel. The 605R gets top spot because NOTHING can touch it in terms of off road performance, it simply can do things no other truck can manage.
@@mrvwbug4423 what twinsteer flips so easy is it the western star you're talking about
@@brendenburke272 Both the Twin steers flip very easily (the Western Star and the International). they also have the highest fuel consumption of any truck, both are equally thirsty as they have the same top engine (which tracks for RL too, the 5600TS is almost exclusively running a cummins ISX15 and the 6900TS usually runs either a CAT C15 or Cummins ISX15 depending on age and how the buyer specced it).

Still in the starter areas but I love the Ankh. Fast and just made for any mission that can be done with the semi flatbed trailer.
Fuel use though...

The 57x is pretty good in it's niche. Which is hauling heavy trailers over everything except mud
i personally think that the cat scout is not the worst cause it handles mud ok and for lifting heavier things it is good cause when i have used a crane many times it is just weak while the loader has lots of power. that is why i acutally use the cat scout.
oh and also it is good when a vehicle without a crane has flipped and you wanna load the cargo back on it.

I fully agree. All classes classified correctly. nice
Challenge take a shot for every time Cyrus says truck.
1:53 yo what map is that

We thought that it's impossible to have worse Offroader than BM17, but dev did it through Tarta 805(which is bigger Don 71)
Why does the engine stall when upside down
I was disappointed with the Ford scout.
The Burloak is top notch Scout!
Now currently, my work horse is tha heavy duty fleetstar f20a7, but I'm searching for an upgrade/ replacement in that category... Any suggestions? 😅💯
I think the new Derry Special 15C-177 is the best in it's class. It took the ZikZ 605R's spot in my book.
how, it doesnt have always on diff lock and awd, has less fuel and repair, doesnt even have much better addons, tips easier and has worse mud performance
Trucks, probably the Most important thing in Snowrunner 😂
8:36 I'd disagree on BM17. It's bad on paper but in real action it's marvelous. I has a small turning radius so it can be utilised as a scout of sorts, it can climb incredible slopes at speed and it works better than it should. I then had better trucks but you can have a BM17 early and in that stage it's immaculate workhorse that helps you gain momentum in the game. For me, it's one of favorite trucks.
I’ve actually ran the cat telehandler in real life. The throttle response is terrible but it’s a handy piece of equipment
my girlfriend drives a ford focus and the throttle response is horrible compared to my 2005 z4.

Load star for general scouting and scout for tasks with harder to reach reach places. It might rip at times but it is also easy to get back on its wheels
Buts the great thing about the game is picking vehicles we like, enjoy driving and suit our play style
My favorite from the off-road section is the mk38 civilian
Yeah i needed to pull something out of a deep trench almost and nothing worked but i got the ANK Civilian and it pulled it right out. The fueltank is small though but it isn't that bad
Wait, why is the loaf (view scout) because it has small wheels
gonna be honest my favourite offroad truck is the Tatra 805 the funniest little monster every it is one of the funnest trucks in the game to drive.
It's a lot of fun when kitted out and can resupply heaps. It's also the only other scout that can attach normal trailers.
@@tvctaswegia497 the 805 is actualy an offroad vehicle if I'm not mistaken.
@@boneshakerjake Thanks for the correction, you're right. I didn't buy it I just found it lying around so didn't look at the category.
It's so laughably tiny I treat it like a super scout, it can basically do everything except rock crawling and the real narrow channels.
"Disqualified!" - David Bowie (Zoolander)
the KRS 58 bandit has to be my least favorite truck just because of how easy it flips.
This man deserves way more subs
What about trailers? What are the best?
International Fleestar is the best. Saved my ass for a thousand times
You are awesome dude... love your videos, what accent do you have? Sounds slightly Persian :)
Heavy truck? TATRA FORCE T815-7... and Azov 73210 especially in hard mode.
Offroad? Voron AE-4380
I like the Chevy1500 , 9500 and the western star twin steer 😊
For me only have one off road truck Voron Grad!
Remember even if you use the best truck, If you handle it poorly, or use it for the wrong purpose it will struggle.
After playing with mods it’s impossible to want to play with any of the vanilla rigs
What about ZIKZ 612H?
But are there actual highways in the game? New to it
The scout 800 maybe tipsy, but so is the kahn 39, and that thing is HORRIBLE on fuel!
Can u make video about ( The Best & The Worst ( Non-DLC ) Truck of Each Class ) pls.
I think the CAT TH357 is a great scout. Just remove the forks and you will be amazed how well it handles harsh terrain. Now, both of your "best" scout trucks can't attach scout trailers, so they don't fit. To me the best scout is the International Loadstar.
wait and where is Kenworth 963? it was aded after this video or what?
Personally I feel like the devs did the Scout 800 dirty. In reality they are very capable offroad. They have the center of gravity wrong.
u can buy the ank civilian at the first map and its the fastest in game and if u not buy raised suspension it will be much stable
What about Tatras? They are mid range or what?
one of the best in the heavy class
@@vladvulcan I reality yes, so I was surprised that they are not here too-probably better truck for terrain You cant find
I'm willing to die on the hill that the Royal has a shot to be the best offroad truck, While it is tippy I think that is just a skill issue, as a newer player I have mained this truck for a bit and found good success with the truck over even the tayga
I’m surprised that the paystar was not in there 😮
The International Transtar 4070A is one of the best trucks.
Just... don't. :D
No mate, that truck is awful no AWD and no diff locks killed that truck a vehicle that cannot be AWD is almost useless in this game dude
I used the cat to rescue my tatra once and then never again.
I can see that being the only useful thing it can do. Tatra is really hard to flip back over with a winch.
The Kodiak isn't bad in my opinion, it has a super ground clearance and rarely tips
Why is anyone talking about that save in the first clip? 😯
scout 800 can truly tow
On mud throw in high gear, you will be surprised, must be moving, maintains a medium high speed, haven’t seen nobody talk about it
One of the best scouts in the game is the Khan Lo4f and isn't even mentioned. That said, this does look like a list of trucks for zoomers, ie. the ones that will go fastest in any given situation.
If you ever decide to play on hard mode, or you know, have fun, plenty of other and some better options to choose from.
Where are u from? Iran?
