I’ve been a big guy all my life. I had just turned 19 years old, 6 foot and 350 lbs. I was at home eating McDonald’s when I noticed this video in my recommended (even thought I had never watched fitness videos on RUclips) seeing this beasts story set a fire in me I didn’t know was there.
I took a hard look at myself, and realized not just what I was doing to my body, but my legacy, I wanted to be remembered as the BUFF guy not the big guy. Fed up with my obesity I went to the gym that night for the first time in my life.
1 year (and a lot of hard work) later and I’m proud to say I’ve finally hit my goal weight of 190 lbs! I’ve still got a long way to go to be my best self, but I welcome the challenge.
Grateful for guys like Pat to be around showing us boys what it takes to be a real man.

I honestly believe god sent you that sign, there's no other way this video would have popped up in your recommended. And actually, this video has got me motivated myself, I'm currently 14 and weigh 150, and I'm 5 foot 10 inches, the funny thing is that I don't look 150, I look more like I'm 120 because I'm built pretty lean. But anyways I've wanted to build some muscle for a while but never really tried it, so I'm going to have to pump some iron. I'm pretty proud of you though for getting into shape like that, because it takes a lot of motivation, congratulations my friend!

Soul Rebel the more you have the easier to lose has a limit, when you weight 600 pounds moving is hard, exercise is even harder, walk 6 to 9 miles a day it's hard even for the slightly obese let alone the very very very obese.

I lost like 40 pounds walking 5-10miles to school for half a year. 6'1, 140pounds. Underweight is a whole different aspect and hard for me to keep muscle at times starving lmao.

The bible isint made to make sense to western minds. Romans 12:1-2 Therefore I urge you brothers in view of Gods mercy to offer your bodies as living sacrifices holy and pleading to him. This is your spiritual act of worship, that you do not conform any more tp the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
God doesent care about you being flawless but he wants you find your true identy in him. When you start focusing on who he is and who you are in him you'll start to be transformed. And holy means to be set apart, not some impossible spiritual plane.

I don’t care what anyone says . Your going to be hungry 😂. Drink water to get the hunger pains to go away 👍🏻. Keeps you going till next meal . Once you’ve hit target weight . Should still treat yourself but still do some sort of maintenance even if it’s low intensity exercise

Starting from bad circulation of blood in your legs, which lead to a number of other issues, to all the illness, where obese people are exponentially more vulnerable. Heart, Lunge, kidneys are overloaded. and so on.

Pat is incredibly impressive. Most of us, myself included, immediately react to the realization that we need to lose weight with some variation of "What program do I need to follow? Who can tell me what I need to do?". And that research definitely has its place... but this guy just went out and took two simple- but very difficult- steps to change his life, and then rolled from there. That's an inspiring show of mental fortitude and discipline.

After watching this video, i truly gave myself a hard look and i realize i am not happy with my unhealthy lifestyle and how much i eat emotionally. I am currently 370lbs 6ft 3in 29yo, i thought i was going to be fat for the rest of my life but after watching this video. How can i live with that. If Pat can do it i believe i can challenge myself to do it too. i shall lose the weight and be my best self. Thank you for sharing your story Pat really appreciate it. Wishing you all the best!

I work security, I'll be turning 29 soon. Weigh 298lbs, I'm a father of 3 girls. My goal, is to loose 98lbs, and work on my upper body. It's an on going battle for a couple years now, but I'm not quitting.

Thank you. I'm having an "intervention" of sorts for my daughter next week. She needs to loose and loose a lot unfortunately. But I've already told her, she won't do it alone! I'll be right next to her ever push up, every sit up, every curl, every step. Not bc i need to loose alot, but just bc i want to support her and also bc i feel as her mother, maybe i contributed in some way. After all, i do the shopping and the cooking! So next week, my whole household will start not a diet, but a whole new way of living! We have a lot to live for! Thank you for inspiring me as well as I'm sure her as soon as i make her watch this! Lol. Please, just praying she is ready and accepts it. Bc we all know, you gotta want it, you gotta be in that place that says, no more! In order to truly turn around. Thank you, again, so much! God bless and congrats!

I'm totally within the health and wellness community. I live, eat, breathe supplements, the gym, as clean eating as I can (nobody is perfect, lol), etc...
I have my own goals for muscle. I'm not obese at all, but, stories like yours totally drive me.
    All the best!

So proud he made the change. I have lost 90 pounds so far I started at 425 in august of 2019. I'm now 330 I suffered a back injury and couldn't exercise for a long time but now my pain level is better so I can exercise again. Once you change your mindset you can do anything. I have a goal of 180 I'm 5'7 and 51. I have cut out sugar and watch my carbs is what is helping me lose weight.

I am on my own journey. As of today, July 21st 2019 I am down 78 pounds. Everything he said, and I mean EVERYTHING, is how I felt and what happened to me. It can be done. Eat clean, get any exercise you can in and you can do it.
