I worked at a Six Flags almost 10 years ago, and I would regularly work until the park closes. There's something very unsettling about walking through the park to my car (which was on the other side of the park) at night, hearing no music and seeing no one there. You would think you would get used to something like that after a while, but I never did.
I used to work at Disneyland Paris, they don't stop the music until long after the park is closed, honestly it's even more creepy to see Main Street totally empty but with cheery music at night.

The more Dubai content I see, the more it seems this park is a beautiful representation of what you should expect. Glowing extraordinary exterior, with ultimately subpar performance.
So I'm a theme park management major - a lot of theme parks in Dubai are a bit like this because they all popped up at about the same time flooding the market and making the entire Dubai theme park market a bit mediocre in the world view. They're interesting concepts, there's just too many of them.
I hope everyone is super nice to the costumed characters, the heat in those things must be inhumane. Maybe they have a cooling system, I don't know, but still, what a hard job they have. Beautiful clean parks like this should never be this empty, it's weird, but the best time to be there.
I feel like they'd have to have some kind of cooling system, if only because it would be literally impossible for the people wearing the suits to avoid heatstroke.
Here in Virginia, which gets pretty hot and humid in the summer, I know there are definitely cooling systems inside those costumes. Also, I don't think they stay outside for a long period of time.

These parks are not financially comfortable they lose money like crazy. One of them (Bollywood Park, which is right next to this one) just permanently closed the other day. I don't know if the climate of Dubai fits this type of development. The dark rides may be lackluster (no audioanimatronics!) because the owner figures the air conditioning will be appealing enough. Regardless, big money was invested in the themeing, but certain Vegas's casinos are the same way. But they're mainly interior spaces, whereas much of this outdoor amusement park in Dubai isn't

@@WalkWithMeTim Thanks. So if not the temperature, nor the timing, the remaining reason is "generally not popular with locals and international tourists" -- which is the conclusion by some other videos re: the resort, that it's overpriced. (FWIW, I used the My Emirates Pass promotion to save 30%, and 63 USD was tolerable only because I'd gotten used to prevailing tourist prices in Dubai.)
Visited it last month and yes again very empty, and over all it's very underwhelming especially when compared to parks like Disney or Universal. The only really good rides with great themes are the Madgascar's 'Mad Pursuit' and How To Train Your Dragon's 'Dragon Gliders', rest of the rides are either boring or extremely poorly themed.

Thanks for the Tour Tim.
You bet
One time we went to lego land and motion gate, it was really packed..was pretty annoying since we wasted our time waiting in lines. Last year when we visited tho we had the same experience as yours, empty as hell.
Definitely disappointed it doesn't have a replica of the crazy cage ride from the film Robots 😂 great video and looks like your having a great time
Nobody goes to the parks here early, go at 5pm
It’s a fantastic place. I love it.
I visited this theme park in 2019... we were the only guests, it was so so so bizarre... also it was Ramadan
It wasn't
I'm surprised it's still opened. It's never had huge crowds. Disney has nothing to worry about 😂
Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2 are amazing movies and The Hunger Games are some of my favourite movies ❤❤
Good point
IMG worlds of adventure is an indoor theme park in dubai that constantly peaks in attendence
I visited the adjacent LEGOLAND Dubai a few weeks ago, on 20 March 2023, and it was nearly empty -- because, I was told, it was just before Ramadan. (The weather was fine -- sunny,
it was filmed 2 weeks before ramadan
@@WalkWithMeTim Thanks. So if not the temperature, nor the timing, the remaining reason is "generally not popular with locals and international tourists" -- which is the conclusion by some other videos re: the resort, that it's overpriced. (FWIW, I used the My Emirates Pass promotion to save 30%, and 63 USD was tolerable only because I'd gotten used to prevailing tourist prices in Dubai.)
If RUclips had existed in about 1996 this is the sort of thing I would have been doing! But nice to see someone else doing it anyway these days.
I will be very suprised if Dubai still exists in 50 years time tbh
I'm sure it will
Dubai is a progressive city in terms of urban planning for the future. It will be around.
@@humamumtaz2719 It just feels inorganic, like they grew way to quickly without a solid foundation first
Hoping the sand will work its magic ....
I actually filmed the rapids for my parents when I was out with some friends, they told me to put it away mid ride so I did, then I immediately continued taking a video. THEY DIDNT NOTICE!!!
Hi Tim. I really enjoyed your video tour today. Hope your back wa not hurting to much.
lol
