My wife worked for Emirates for a few years and often worked over in Dubai, and recommended it for a holiday, Originally I was unsure, but when I went I just wanted to stay longer and see more and more. I was fascinated by the city! Its so clean, the food is excellent and the people are so nice. Highly recommend a trip to anyone!
I'd probably enjoy a visit as well, but it does all kind of seem very synthetic and sterile. Also sensory overload.

My friend got arrested there you can drink in the hotels she was challenged by the police outside the hotel and she told them off not in a bad way just mind your own business they arrested her not a place I would go to by choice I worked there and I ended up hating it it's soooooo superficial and artificial

Extraordinary video. Beautifully filmed and with excellent commentary. This guy pretty much answers all the questions you were thinking to ask right in the video. I am working my way through all of them now. Really makes me want to get out and see the world and travel.
Worked and lived in Dubai for 6 months in 2018. Absolutely loved it. Definitely recommend going during the winter months as the heat can be overwhelming.
Well kudos to them for providing all that in-mall entertainment that isn't shopping. Some places in the U.K could learn from that.
I've seen videos where people say that it's an "obligation" because Dubai's hot temperature is too high, people need to "hide from the sun" and rich people have "higher standards".
Deffinatly. Same in philippines. The malls are much better the uk ones just suck. Modtly just shops
I had the joy of visiting in 2021/22 when the Expo 2020 was on. My brother lives near the Science Park. One of the safest places to be alone as a woman. I loved exploring while travelling up & down the metro network. So much to see.
This is absolutely incredible! Watching the entire video felt like I had just come back from a real vacation in Dubai. The scenes and architecture were stunning!
We moved to Dubai for work reasons over 7 years ago. It’s nice to see all the things we inevitably take for granted these days. Of course it’s not perfect, where is?
I understand some people’s criticisms, but it’s no where near as bad some folk would imagine. I wouldn’t live anywhere else still, since moving here

Just came back from a week in Dubai, stayed in the atlantis hotel the palm... i now understand the fuss with Dubai, lovely country and beautiful people. Clean & well mannered! The dubai mall was way too big to finish in one day with 2 young kids!! I NOW feel things in UK are dirt cheap! 😂😂😂😂

I have a fun game to play. Go to the Dubai mall and see who can be the first in your party to find a shop or retailer that you can afford to shop in. 😂. Honestly though Tim, fantastic video. That aquarium was STUNNING. I wish I could see it in person. Breathtaking. Love the video Tim ❤

It's not a place I'd ever want to visit, but can see why some people would enjoy it
I agree. If you are unlucky and a local commits a crime nearby where you are staying, some non-resident will simply be rounded up. Though this is more of an issue for people working in Dubai.
@Samantha Jenkins they actually have an incredibly low crime rate so I wouldn't be too worried. My Brother goes regularly and he's fond of his pop and swears by the place

Hope you had a good time. Originally from Surrey, but currently living in UAE. Personally I prefer Abu Dhabi - but go regularly to Dubai for a dose of glitz and glamour!

I have always avoided going during Ramadan thinking a lot of restaurants are boarded up . Seems like there is less queues and less people . Its a good time.
Last time I went I went during Ramadan, got a 5 night break staying on one of the Hilton resorts, private transfers, and flying on the a380 for £397 each for 2 people, just stayed on the resort beach during the daytime then explored early evening / night with a hire car, great experience!
Much appreciated you going there, enabling those of us who are most unlikely to be able to go, to experience what is a truly remarkable, incredible place.

The jury’s out on Dubai. A bit of me would like to go just once but another bit of me thinks I wouldn’t be able to relax. There’s so much wealth there it makes me feel uncomfortable and I’m not sure if I’d enjoy it. Everything looks stunningly beautiful though.
Only downtown and the palm have that luxurious feel. I love going off the beaten track. Into the desert and old villages. Camels walking across the road. Slower pace. Oman is across the border.

While we're sucking on soggy paper straws, in Dubai they use patio heaters to warm up empty seats outside a bar inside a ski slope in the bloomin' desert. If this is isn't a big FU to the environment I don't know what is.

Isn't there like one family who owns most of Dubai? This looked freaking great! I wish one day I can visit here too.
We traveled to Dubai back in 2015. We went on the boats while the fountains were on. Amazing experience.
We love Dubai and have been there at least 5 times when we lived in the Middle East. There is so much to see and even the 5 times we were there, we still didn't even see 1/2 of what Dubai has to offer. Just awesome! This makes me want to go back so badly!!

My cousin eventually moved out here from Ethiopia when he and his sister graduated high school after going to university in China.
The malls are on another level. Dubai’s malls make the Trafford centre look so tiny in comparison.

I love Dubai. It shows us what is possible when there is a vision and a will (and lots of oil money!).

One word I really took from this video about Dubai was "large". Everything is and seem so large. But Dubai is on my bucket list for sure.
Also one thing that makes me like Dubai is that they basically have everything indoors. I like skiing, ice skating and such but I prefer to be indoors so having skiing and all that indoors is really nice.
This is absolutely out of this world Tim Dubai.
I've done a big comment on it but it landed on the other vlog when you visited 'The World's Largest Indoor Water Park.
It's because I spend so long typing the comment the vlog ends & flips onto another vlog.

I'm abit depressed because I've got really sore legs & they have all swollen up & it's painful to walk so a trip to the Drs for me after Easter.
But your vlogs in Dubai have really cheered me up today, you must of really enjoyed the experience Tim & being able to strip off on the beach & get some sun!
You're the very essence of life itself Tim.
You make me feel alive when I'm feeling down & you give me abit of hope too, it's difficult managing chronic illness's but you make me hope for good days ahead rather than feeling like giving up!

@Ae.teacher.That’s not true. Western woman are completely safe in Dubai, however that applies to citizens of Dubai, they treat you with respect. I can’t say the same if you were attacked by a western man but as the punishment is pretty severe l wouldn’t chance it if you’re a man.

The first time i visited dubai it was so amazing i had to visit a month later, mall is amazing, the parking lot is being mopped and sweep every minute, it so clean you can literally lay in a full white outfit and not get a spot of dirt on you, parking is free btw. Most of the resturants clubs, beach clubs have free parking just have them stamp it befor tou leave. Just being in dubai make you want to do better in life its a very inspirational experience. You even get a free 3 gb sim card when you arrive at customs. Great video btw keep it up man.

I lived in Dubai for 7 years. I moved back home last year. I miss it very much.
Great video ;) The Fountain Show is in every 30 minutes, starts from 6pm, Burj Khalifa light show is in every 30 minutes starts from 6:15pm. Winter time the shows start earlier, after sunset.

one thing is that there is connecting bridge that goes from the mall to the Skyview this means you don't have to go outside and cross roads , also loved the talking reindeers 😂😂
Thank you for showing us around some of Dubai Tim, but it's not my cup of tea even if I had the money to do it. I thought that the Snow Park was amazing, as was the aquarium, but on the whole I think I would feel out of place there. I just wouldn't feel comfortable being around all that opulence, when there are so many people who can't even afford the basics of life, that it just seems really wrong that a place like this even exists.

I am so jealous Tim! Been to Dubai a couple of times and I love it; far and away my favourite holiday destination and what's best is there is something new every time you visit. The Ferris Wheel was about two thirds completed last time I visited and the Frame was pretty new. The place just boggles the mind and the people so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return, its AWESOME.
Wow. I was in Dubai in 1990 and I cant believe how different it is now, there was literally none of what there is now. Would love to go back and see it now

Hi Tim. I really enjoyed your Dubai tour. I found out once again you're braver than I am stepping on the glass floor a thousand feet in the air not for me although the views were spectacular.
Dubai has everything except the one thing money can't buy - authenticity.
What is that supposed to mean
@@onlygoodperson it tries to give you skiing, but it can't replicate the Swiss Alps in winter. It tries to give you sharks,but it can't replicate swimming along the Great barrier reef. It tries to give you ice skating but it can't replicate ice skating on the canals in Amsterdam at winter. It takes all these bits from the rest of the world but it has no history and therefore no authenticity. It's a bit like Trump towers. Huge wealth, but all a bit tacky.

Great videos Tim however just a quick correction Dubai mall is not the largest shopping mall in the world it’s actually Iran Mall in Tehran Iran, which is the largest

I always thought Dubai was just expensive hotels and designer shops but you have shown us so much more, it’s a beautiful place and so clean and litter free, really enjoying your videos, you have such a relaxed and down to earth approach to filming 🤩

That was a fascinating video and insight into Dubai. It's not somewhere I'd feel comfortable visiting. However, I can see the attraction; I have relatives who've been there quite regularly and they love it. It appears though that "Dubai on a budget" is not a phrase that is ever used!
I think Dubai is interesting city. In my opinion how much you like Dubai depends on where you come from
So much to do that mall is huge and to see and look at the tall building. No thank you I am afraid of heights but everything else looks cool. Great job Tim.😊
