So, she asked if we could move there for a few years. If the right opportunity arises, I'd consider moving there. I assured her.

The problem with Africa is the management and leadership, they rather keep the money buried in the walls of their houses than to build something. These Arab people are doing it right, the oil will soon run out, so why not build the most amazing things you can build.

    Traveling allows you to view the real world with your own eyes, but staying in one location too long turns a place into the entire globe, thus I've always encouraged most people to travel for exposure. Qatar is small but mighty. Another crazy Vid from our Stevem 👍

    I can’t overlook the way “laborers” were treated during the building of the World Cup stadiums.

    • @JohnCena-ex6zt
      @JohnCena-ex6zt 10 месяцев назад +1

      Workers weren't subjected to mistreatment; they were offered accommodations and received salaries surpassing those in their home countries. Employers are obliged to compensate employees for extra work hours, with a maximum of 48 hours per week or 8 hours per day (excluding lunch breaks). During Ramadan, the limit is 36 hours per week or 6 hours per day. Additionally, employers must provide allowances, with a minimum of QAR 300 for food and QAR 500 for housing.

    • @JohnCena-ex6zt
      @JohnCena-ex6zt 10 месяцев назад +1

      The narrative about 6,000 migrants dying while constructing stadiums is inaccurate; the reported deaths span over 10 years and involve not only stadium construction but the development of entire cities. Verify this information for a more accurate understanding of the circumstances. Also, did you notice how all the Western media went silent as soon as the World Cup ended?

There was alot of construction going on then. After the experience, I have visited and it's my transit of choice.

    Great video steve. Jean nouvel also designed The louvre Abu Dhabi in the UAE. One of the best french architect. You should have mentioned that Qatar refused to join the formation of United Arab Emirates in 1971 they decided to remain independent. Look at them now they are doing very well , very rich in oil ans gas, very successful nation. Also if you buy a property in Qatar worth 730,000 qatari riyal you get residency but only in designated areas .
