I have followed you for such a long time and I’ve gotta say, you’ve nailed your “look”. The long, curly, red hair styled this way plus your makeup in this video…STUNNING. So bombshell, so YOU! ❤
I love most your shift in confidence of late. You share what honest thoughts and it’s not make up but real and coming from a place where your heart sits. As it always did as your honest . I don’t think I’d be searching rugable though otherwise and that’s the power of your confidence. Hope that makes sense ❤ lol xx
Curly stylist here! The denman brush is a classic for a reason, but it’s not the perfect fit for everyone. It’s great if you need more tension to get more defined curl clumps! You can even take it apart and take out rows to customize your tension, but I always find it difficult to get the rubber base back into the brush. I love to use it upside down so your hair will go through the bristles first, then wrap around the handle!
What you're missing with the Denman is tension! And the way you're using it is instead of a finger coil (totally fine!) -- try putting the brush under a small section and brushing through with tension. Check out Manes by Mell for a visual of what I'm trying to say lol (it's hard to explain verbally).
I like to hear the reviews of clothing after many washes or a log period of time - appreciate that you included that information. Durability and quality are really important to know about when we are flooded with so many options and the inflation is real
You should try using the Denman brush by coiling your hair around the handle instead of the bristles! I have really good luck using it in this way vs just using the bristles. SO brush through the bristles still and then start wrapping around the handle and pull the brush out in the same way. Hope that helps!
1000% agree on the skims fits everyone undies. I’ve had pairs for a couple years now and they are still great. I do not dry them except the odd time they get missed and chucked in but they have held up perfectly which I would never have expected for such thin material
Okay so for the brush! I use it as a middle step between detangling and finger coiling. I essentially brush through my hair one more time in larger sections just to create tension in the curl, kind of like using a pair of scissors to curl a ribbon. Then after I go through and finger coil a few of the clumps that naturally fall after brushing with that tension! It’s an extra step but definitely not as much work as the denman brush TikTok girlies
I've noticed that the longer my hair is, the more I struggle to use my denman brush. I've had the most success with my layered bob. When my lazy styling ends up curling the ends of my hair (which works since my hair is so short!) and when I put in the actual effort, my hair has much more defined curls. Once my hair gets past my shoulders, I have a harder time using the denman (or getting my hair to curl at all). I have thin hair, unsure what porosity it is naturally since I'm nearly done cutting off all of the damaged bits.
We need a video with your cheaper sunglasses recommendations!! I buy mostly designer and I find that they are overpriced and actually hurt to wear a lot of the time so I need some updated less expensive ones!
Jamie, your videos make me so happy! Ok, your makeup looks beautiful and the colors are just perfect for your complexion and hair color. What is on your lips??
I gotta say I didn’t particularly care for the Denman brush either. I would say you should totally try the Tangle Teezer paddle brush. It’s great for detangling and styling, whereas a Denman brush is not a detangling brush.
I feel like the Denman brush is good bc it's faster and you don't need to go one curl by one. it's more about getting a larger chunk of hair and then they all magically fall defined with no work
I have had those exact same shoes in my cart for about a month hoping they go on sale. Never really been into red before but I think they would go with a lot and add that something special to a basic outfit like jeans and a tee or sweater. ❤
I use the denman brush every wash day. I don’t curl every strand like that because honestly I can’t be bothered. But I do brush it through my hair to create curl clumps. You need to create a little tension to help develop the curls. Manes by Mell has good videos on this. I find it faster than finger coiling. I have a lot of hair. However, do whatever works for you
It kills me when I hear influencers say invest when buying clothes or products lol investing is something that’s going to give you money in the long run. Regular people please don’t buy into this bs that buying a piece of fabric is an investment.
The skims bralettes have replaced every bra I used to have. I have the one that is like crossed a bit in the front that has an adjustable band, I think it’s one of the fits everybody ones. So SICKENING. They don’t wear super well, but I just buy them on sale and buy several of them since they have sales twice a year or so. They also get pilling all over them. Also the underwear stretch out super fast (not great quality elastic). I just like that it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing a bra
You have to try the curly hair bush!!! I don't know what it's called but it has these teethed ridges on the sides and you pull the hair tight across the edge. It's SO good.
I had to watch the denman tutorials so many times before I really got it. I hold it with the handle up and wrap my hair around the handle as I brush it thru. I’ve never had better curl clumps. I also have the bounce curl brush people have mentioned here and just cannot get it to work for me.
I don’t recommend getting a ruggable in their large size because it doesn’t wash in a regular washing machine because of the size. I think they seem good for the small sizes but the large one is such a pain! Love the video idea!
I want to buy those Madewell Mary Janes but seriously hesitating on which size to get 😅 what size are you normally and which did you get? I am always a 7.5 but sometimes need 8, I think I should get 7.5 but I’m not sure!!
I would watch some videos by manes by Mel on brush styling - that’s how I learned to use my denman brush. I haven’t seen anyone use it upright and twisting like you did 😅 I use it like upside down and use the handle to aid with the curling if I need it for curl training. It majorly helps my curls to be more uniform and way less frizzy because you are smoothing the cuticle and getting proper product distribution.
yeah i am also struggling with the denman - i want to love it but i feel like it never does enough for me to feel like the amount of money i paid for it was worth it.
went to my hairdresser and made her style my curls because I didn't know how. She brushed the hair out with the comb and then wrapped the hair around the handle and pulled down. Changed the game for me.
@@JamiePaige I don’t often have the patience to brush style haha, but if you start the Denman brush essentially upside down so you’re wrapping the coil around the handle of the brush after brushing through the strand, you’ll probably find the success people rave about. Hope that makes sense!
Sorry but you swim bathing suits only work for a certain body type. It’s not the most flattering if you’re curvy, busty and not that proportionate Madewell ballet flats are super nice!i have the chocolate one and definitely my most used shoes over the last 6 months
Madewell’s quality is not the best (to say the least 😅). If you’re looking for a good pair of Mary Janes I highly recommend Carel Paris! They are pricey for sure but the quality is top notch which makes them worth it! (in terms of cost per wear)
Okay your hair 🥵 and skims clothing even their body shapers wear out so bad I wore mine maybe 3x and it’s literally falling apart soooooo disappointing….
Those panties are a no no for me! I think they do not fit over the 🐱 and they should be mindful of women’s anatomy… not everyone has small 👄 lmao tmi but true!
it is ok if u dont see point of paying for expensive glasses, but dont influence to other people that there is no difference between cheap and more expensive ones, on a long run your eyes gonna thank u for protecting them with a real sunglasses.
The more affordable sunglasses that I mentioned I wear are still great quality (love the brand lunettiq) - just not several hundreds of dollars like the designer glasses 😅
I have followed you for such a long time and I’ve gotta say, you’ve nailed your “look”. The long, curly, red hair styled this way plus your makeup in this video…STUNNING. So bombshell, so YOU! ❤
hehe thank you so much!
Came here to say the same thing!!! Have followed you since 2016
I love most your shift in confidence of late. You share what honest thoughts and it’s not make up but real and coming from a place where your heart sits. As it always did as your honest . I don’t think I’d be searching rugable though otherwise and that’s the power of your confidence. Hope that makes sense ❤ lol xx
HAIR IS HAIRING!!! the extensions are stunning!!
Thanks love!
The blend so well with her hair. I’ve also just been loving the red hair on her this past year or so
Curly stylist here! The denman brush is a classic for a reason, but it’s not the perfect fit for everyone. It’s great if you need more tension to get more defined curl clumps! oooo i will def try it upside down!! thank you!
Jamie ! I’ve been looking for a lip colour like yours for ages! What brand/colour is that 🙏🏻💕?
highly recommend the bounce curl brush babe! it has made a world of difference for me, and I used the denman brush religiously before this.
i've heard great things about that!! gonna look into it

I love the Denman brush!!! I use the handle of the brush for the most definition.

SO brush through the bristles still and then start wrapping around the handle and pull the brush out in the same way. Hope that helps!
Always love hearing your take on things 👌
😃😃
I have been so so so tempted by Mary Jane’s lately!! I really want like a warm deep green or a very warm medium pinkish shade
1000% agree on the skims fits everyone undies. I’ve had pairs for a couple years now and they are still great. I do not dry them except the odd time they get missed and chucked in but they have held up perfectly which I would never have expected for such thin material

Those extensions are everything. I’m blown away at the color match, the blend, everything. I have to ask. How long were you in her chair?😮
A couple hours! I have a full vlog on my channel :)
I've noticed that the longer my hair is, the more I struggle to use my denman brush. I've had the most success with my layered bob. thank you so much!! i was worried you guys would ask, because i truly do not remember lmfao
I gotta say I didn’t particularly care for the Denman brush either. I would say you should totally try the Tangle Teezer paddle brush. It’s great for detangling and styling, whereas a Denman brush is not a detangling brush.

I need to figure it out 😂😂
I have had those exact same shoes in my cart for about a month hoping they go on sale. Never really been into red before but I think they would go with a lot and add that something special to a basic outfit like jeans and a tee or sweater. ❤
Same issue with SKIMS bralette in a different style except I hardly wore it and the elastic is all wonky already 🤨
However, do whatever works for you
Gena Marie has a good video on the using the brush handle to create clumps as well
Your makeup looks stunning!😍 what is that lip combo??
It kills me when I hear influencers say invest when buying clothes or products lol investing is something that’s going to give you money in the long run. Regular people please don’t buy into this bs that buying a piece of fabric is an investment.
I love my denman brush. I do not curl with it. I simply brush my hair in sections from underneath the strands. It makes a world of a difference
The skims bralettes have replaced every bra I used to have. I have the one that is like crossed a bit in the front that has an adjustable band, I think it’s one of the fits everybody ones. You are so stunning in this look!! Your coloring, hair and makeup suits you so well. Also I am so tempted to try the one size brand now.
I’d love to see an affordable sunglasses favorites video!
You have to try the curly hair bush!!! I don't know what it's called but it has these teethed ridges on the sides and you pull the hair tight across the edge. It's SO good.

OMG JAMIE!!! I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!!!!
Thank you!!

Here for the same question! :)

Thanks for sharing!! Gonna watch another one of her vids hahaha
yeah i am also struggling with the denman - i want to love it but i feel like it never does enough for me to feel like the amount of money i paid for it was worth it.
I’m glad I’m not the only one!
Honestly don’t hear enough people talk about the skims fits everybody line - it’s truly amazing. So stretchy and comfortable
went to my hairdresser and made her style my curls because I didn't know how. She brushed the hair out with the comb and then wrapped the hair around the handle and pulled down. Changed the game for me.
I love your evil eye necklace! Where is it from?
Highly recommend the bounce curl brush! I found it easier to use then the denman brush
I feel the same about the brush. I use it but idk if its doing anything special for me 😅
🙃🙃🙃🙃
@@JamiePaige I don’t often have the patience to brush style haha, but if you start the Denman brush essentially upside down so you’re wrapping the coil around the handle of the brush after brushing through the strand, you’ll probably find the success people rave about. Hope that makes sense!
I bought the Amazon version of the Bounce Curl brush and it does such a better job for my curly /wavy hair than the Denman!
Sorry but you swim bathing suits only work for a certain body type. It’s not the most flattering if you’re curvy, busty and not that proportionate
Madewell ballet flats are super nice!i have the chocolate one and definitely my most used shoes over the last 6 months
I didn’t find the denman brush to be useful. I tried it at least 10 times, and ended up throwing it away.
Do you have recs for your more affordable shades?😎
Love lunettiq - great quality!
Love love the hair girlie!! 💕
My current influenced things in NYC has been the Rotunda Sant Hobo Bag, Paper Shoot Camera, and Vivaia Mary Janes! 🙈

Yeah I have curly hair and I see no need for the brush for me personally!
Madewell’s quality is not the best (to say the least 😅). If you’re looking for a good pair of Mary Janes I highly recommend Carel Paris! They are pricey for sure but the quality is top notch which makes them worth it! (in terms of cost per wear)
Honestly the quality of these are soooooo nice!

Your looking fabulous with the hair and your rocking those bikinis
When I saw your hair I was like omg you were influenced by Chappell Roan! But nvm. Still looks great though!
Those panties are a no no for me! I think they do not fit over the 🐱 and they should be mindful of women’s anatomy… not everyone has small 👄 lmao tmi but true!

Why do you even need a rug in the kitchen?
So cute girl!

it is ok if u dont see point of paying for expensive glasses, but dont influence to other people that there is no difference between cheap and more expensive ones, on a long run your eyes gonna thank u for protecting them with a real sunglasses.
The more affordable sunglasses that I mentioned I wear are still great quality (love the brand lunettiq) - just not several hundreds of dollars like the designer glasses 😅
As a Taylor swift fan, I always feel so weird when my fav influencers promote skims 😭
