I love the Inkey List salicylic acid scalp exfoliator. It has a narrow dispenser to allow you to place directly on the scalp. It’s a chemical exfoliant that I use before washing my hair, and I love it. I also like the scalp massaging brushes to use when shampooing my hair.
That def makes more sense as far as application goes!! I’ll look into it 🥰
Empties are my most favorite types of videos!!! I have dehydrated skin and curly hair so I love the skin/hair care reviews
Yay! Thank you!
The Not Your Mothers Curl Talk exfoliating scalp scrub is incredible ! The applicator makes it easy apply directly to the scalp and you can actually feel the scrubbies doing the work ! ❤
Just letting you know Stratia isn't a Korean brand. They're based in LA. They are indie and woman owned. And they changed the name to Lipid Gold now. 🖤
ahhhh my bad - i totally thought it was! thanks for letting me know :)
@@JamiePaige No problem. I debated telling you because I didn't want to try to be rude. But their now Lipid Gold is one of my faves so I figured I'd try to give credit where it's due 🖤
I bought the Liquid Gold and could not stand the smell. It was super strong and weird. I just couldn't handle it. Does yours smell?
I bet it was because liquid gold is a nickname term for breastmilk- a little weird for a name for a skincare product lol
@@brandymurphy5873I’ve finished two bottles over the years and currently on my third. They’ve all had that odd smell to it.
You look so retro and stunning in this look
oh thank you so much! ❤
Love these types of videos! Since it takes so long to finish makeup products, you could do a “products I’ve hit pan” video to show us! Love your content ❤
hi! trick for scalp scrub. wet hair then turn head upside down and use. this way the scrub is concentrated at the roots
If you want to give scalp scrubs another try, I 100% recommend the Briogeo one! It’s a much finer exfoliant and a bit more liquidy so it’s the only one I’ve been able to get work but wow does it! I cannot live without it now tbh, I have the 32oz one 😅
that l’occitaine product is *chef’s kiss* i buy and re-buy, and will forever.
and they do sell re-fills now!
My forever favourite gentle cleanser is La Roche-Posay Toleriane. My skin is very sensitive, I have been using for years. It is great, highly recommend!
Thank you for comment- I e been loving that brands moisturizer so I’ll definitely try your recommendation. ❤
I second this--love the laroche posay toleriane. Also the cerave hydrating facial cleanser
So excited for another Jamie video!! Would love it you did a new concealers roundup/ ranking
I have psoriasis on my scalp and am always trying new products for it. I actually love the Fable and Mane scalp scrub (as well as the hair mask). I just lather it in my hands and push my hair up so I can get close to my scalp and find that it works nice. There’s also a cooling mud mask from the brand that feels amazing when applied!!
Ahhh yes their mask is really nice!!
I have the same issue, such a difficult thing to deal with. Thanks for the info, I'll give the products a try.
@@marypl4152 can be so painful! I especially love the cooling mud mask for it
jamie you should definitely try korean oil cleansers, they melt ur makeup away so well and dont leave a residue. i recommend the anua one or the beauty of joseon one!
I love the Beauty of joseon cleansing balm. Can definitely give my thumbs up for that recommendation!❤
Jamie- I can't make scalp scrub work for me either. I have really thick hair and I can't get scrub to my scalp, I'm just putting it on top of my hair. You're not alone
Agree. Same here. My hairstylist says just to use a good boar bristle brush and brush your hair and daily
We have very similar hair and I was wondering if you could do a 'week of hair' video showing how to style / restyle every day for a week. I really struggle doing my hair every day and it would be so helpful!
That’s a really wonderful idea!
I’m obsessed with ur makeup in this video!!!
Hi Jamie! It’d be really nice if you posted more chatty grwm vids. Missing them!
i hear you!! def will do one soon :)
Jamie a non stripping cleanser i love is the cerave hydrating cleanser. cleans my face, doesnt strip me my skin and specifically made not to disrupt your barrier.
Seriously i could wash my face with it thrice and it still feels non stripping. Also for a first cleanse/makeup remover try out kbeauty oil cleansers like the klairs or beauty of joseon one
seconding the beauty of joseon rec
2 min into this video and I've already purchased a new moisturizer ... the power you have
It truly is a heavenly formula
😂😂😂 it’s so good!! I hope you love
You should try the Amika reset pink scalp oil - you put it in when your hair is dry and it works like a scalp scrub but is way easier to use!
Jamie, try liquid scalp exfoliator, for example CP-1 scalp scaler, has a great tip to put directly to the scalp and since it’s liquid, it’s much easier to distribute and hair don’t get in a way :)
Jamie - you should try the Korres Greek Yoghurt cleanser! It does say foaming in the title but it’s soooo creamy and milky - a dream for dry skin. I’ve been using it for years and put my best friend and also boyfriend onto it and they love it too! 💙
I just picked this one up too after years of not using it and I’m so obsessed with it, I have oily skin but i still love it, it’s suchhhh a nice texture and my skin feels so nourished after using it. I honestly look forward to washing my face just to use it
@@1Anycoloryoulike1 I'm so glad you love it too - good to know that it works on oily skin types as well! It really is such a nice experience to use, it makes me want to try more of their products!
ur a ray of sunshine! with awesome recommendations!!
🥰🥰
I also have love the L’occitane almond shower oil. Mine lasts a long time because I actually use it when I shave my legs! It’s so thick it actually keeps you from getting any cuts but then of course, I squirt a little bit in my hands and do the same thing as you do and rub it all over my body because it’s so moisturizing and the smell is so amazing.
Here's a tip for the scalp scrub. I don't know if you've tried to part your hair in sections and apply the scrub directly to the scalp as you go, but this is what I do when using products that I want to target my scalp with, and it seems to work. 😀
Try the Naturium Glow Getter Multi-oil Hydrating body wash. It's so similar to the L'Occitane Shower Oil. I agree with you, you can go though that shower oil so fast.
Okay the goop shampoo scalp scrub is unreal. A holy grail, don’t give up!
Love an empties video! Was curious if you could do something in the future on your updated skincare routine, maybe Vogue style like you used to do?
Yes!! Def!
Scalp scrub: I get a nice effect using those rubber scalp scrubbers like the briogeo one or whatever ulta sells, just with shampoo
I am obsessed with your nails! For years now!😂
L'Occitane almond shower oil also comes in a 500ml pump bottle!!! They make refills too. I love lathering this into a frothy foam and using to shave my legs as well.
I really love the body washes from Saltair- especially the green and the pink one!!!
I really enjoy these videos for two reasons: 1) You seem to find more under the radar products that I haven't seen plastered everywhere all the time and 2) we seem to have similar product preferences(dry skin, curly hair, etc) The real mvp!
wooo! so glad you enjoyed!! i've been really trying to find some hidden gems :)
You can bring your empties to Holt Renfrew or The Hudson's Bay for recycling
I’ve been using the Stratia moisturizer since you mentioned it in your previous video - it’s SO good !! Probably one of the best I’ve ever tried.
Based on the description you gave of your skin, I feel like youd love the new Dermalogica Stabalizing Repair Cream! Its ahhhmazing
Yes to the almost finished makeup!
i love watching your empties!!😍
you look so glowy Jamie! ❤ love this kind of video xx
I just ordered the Stratia Liquid Gold! I’ve always loved seabuckthorn oil in skincare so I’m excited to try this one 💖
Belle découverte ! Merci Jamie ! I will try the Stratia products for sure. The shipping is 13$ US I tought it was worse 😮 Love your videos and I love that you are in Montreal like me ❤
Don't worry about the fulvic acid! It's not an exfoliating acid like AHAs and BHAs - think of it like hyaluronic in that it's not going to remove dead skin cells.
Ooooooo thank you!!!🥲
I’m sure you already use one but maybe you could try those scalp massagers in the shower for the scrub! I use one to shampoo my hair and it helps me reach the surface of my scalp to clean it.
That’s a good idea!
Great idea!!!❤
Hi! Was wondering what brown eyeliner you're using! It's stunning and natural looking
You should try The Outset micellar cleanser! It's got a little bit of foaminess but it's super gentle and non-stripping. I think it would be the best of both worlds for you!
The goop G.Tox himalayan salt scalp scrub shampoo is really good and it has kind of a whipped texture that allows the product to spread more easily. The salt dissolves in a really nice way and eventually just turns into primarily a foam. I got the fable and mane one after finishing my last goop one because it was less expensive and i regretted it
I tried that one too!! Kinda felt like it was also hard to use 🥲 maybe scalp scrubs just aren’t for me hahah
LOOOOVE the almond oil ..... you can buy a big refill for it
Love an empties video!!!! 💕💕💕
The only scalp scrub I will ever use is the briogeo charcoal shampoo. The beads are super tiny so that actually get on your scalp and emulsify
Ok I did the same thing as you with that cleansing balm. Add to cart immediately! But for some reason, I hated it 😭
I think the Clinique is just my favorite and nothing seems to compare
What is your nail combo? I’m obsessed! ❤
Have you tried the Lisa Eldridge cleanser yet? It’s so hydrating and luxe!!!
Based on one of your previous recommendations, I’ve been using the Necessaire deodorant - Love!! Thank you! It’s a keeper!
Wonderful!
Please do a full weekly skin care routine! it's been a while
where is your sweater from? looks so lovely on you!
My pro tip on scalp scrubs: take just a pea size dollop of your favorite clarifying shampoo and get it right on your scalp with fingertips. That lubes up the area to then go in with the scrub and the tiny bit of shampoo helps to kind of act as a medium to spread the scrub right (and all over) where you want it
love your nails! can you share what you used? thanks!!
Early 😊❤ Love empty videos! 😊 I feel the same way about scalp scrubs. Can't ever get the product to my scalp due to my hair being in the way. Then it's so hard to rinse out with all the grit distributed throughout the hair
I find the briogeo one the easiest to distribute! It’s a less viscous formula and the minty tingle is so soothing for me!
I completely agree with your view on scalp scrubs! I actually returned the briogeo charcoal scrub because all it did was tangle my hair! Also, I hated the avocado facial cleanser. It felt like I was rubbing raw egg whites on my face and it burned my eyes so bad every time! I’m not normally this negative 😂 I love lots of other things from both those brands.
Gosh I love that nail polish, Jamie. Absolutely delicious.
Oh thank you!
Your hair looks so chic in this video!! Nancy Drew vibes
I love ur nail polish color!
Jamie, have you tried the Victoria Beckham/Augustinus Bader cell rejuvenating power serum? It’s stupidly expensive, but the feel of my dry skin has changed drastically. I am on my third (though I do think it lasts quite a long time bc you are only using a small amount morning and night) bottle and don’t think I’ll ever stop.
With scalp scrubs I feel the same 3000%, wish I could temporarily remove my hair to apply 😂. I have a laundry list of skin issues, a dry scalp being one of them so I've used an unhealthy amount of scrubs in my time. I try to section my hair as best I can and apply a decent amount of product in each section. I first use my fingers to really work it in then I apply more product and use one of those plastic scalp scrubbers. I'm really fond of Briogeo Scalp Revival, it is cool feeling on the skin so it sort of helps with knowing where on your head you might and missed a spot and might need more products.
My favorite type of video!!!!
I’m glad I’m not the only one that doesn’t get scalp scrubs lol. I run into the same issue and just end up getting annoyed with them
the fable & mane shampoo (and the conditioner, mask, etc.) actually smells like banana pudding like the one from magnolia's its so much more vanilla custardy smelling (especially the mask) than that artificial banana scent im saying this as someone whose so put off by banana scents thought id just point that out since its such a good line
As someone who also has dry, sensitive skin (sebhoreic dermatitis 😢) but struggles with texture and blackheads, I would love to know what works for you or what advice you’ve been given regarding exfoliating and acids. BHAs are really nice for my texture too but I know I’m going to pay the price in the longer term.
The Then I Met You cleansing balm smells soooo good! I like the texture as well. Unfortunately, it did leave an oily residue on my skin and I feel like it is overpriced. Probably better on the skin for dry skin types!
When you remove it, do you use a washcloth or just your hands? I find a washcloth is ideal to avoid any oily residue 🥰
Beautiful empties. Loved it.
I have a sensitive itchy scalp with over dry hair. I find Kristen Ess Gentle Shampoo and Unscented Silky Conditioner work best. Had no luck with scalp scrubs. Just massage my scalp.
What’s on your face in this video!!! Stunning colours ❤
Glow recipe products are SO beautifully packaged and marketed and almost all seem to be bad/poor quality. One of their toners is one of 5 products in my entire life that made me break out
You should try the new prequel skincare brand it is a God sent for my dry eczma skin
Loving the Gleanser!
I love Glow Recipe so their avocado cleanser is something I really want to try, although with the price it’s something I would rather just get on sale. I used to like Kerastase but these days am more into Olaplex and k18, sometimes Pureology
You’ve *sold* me on the Liquid Gold moisturiser! Also, I feel you on the scalp scrubs… how does anyone get the scrub on their scalp?!
We haven't seen you in your curls in a long time🥺
I thought the necessaire body scrub also has AHA BHA in it, so is it not very similar to the FAB one?
1) Where are your earring from? 2) I also can't seem to figure out physical scrubs for the scalp. I've liked the Inky List Salicylic Acid Oily Scalp Treatment since it is chemical
I tried the Briogeo Scalp Scrub as well and cant make it work either
Where did you get your necklace from?
Would love to see an almost empty beauty products video❤.
Noted!
I love your sweater where did you get it from?
It’s an oldie from aritzia!
You look great in those hoops jamie! ❤ missing your ranking videos, could you rank your favourite curly styling products
i love that idea!!
Hey doll! Are the links affiliate links? I want to support you through my purchases :)
Please try L’Occitane face cleansing oil - absolutely the best!
to remove makeup. No one ever talks about it
I'd love to see a "makeup that I'd repurchase" video. 😊
I love Stratia lipid gold! It kind of smells like old bananas though? Their peptide cream is great too :)
Hahah I haven’t noticed that! 😂
Do you have a favorite self-tanner by chance? I'm new to this and I'm fairly light skinned so I don't want anything that will turn me orange!
I do not! I almost never self tan
Fulvic acid isnt for exfoliating, is it?😅
When you mentioned avoiding acids, do you think she also meant avoiding hyaluronic acid?
No. She means stripping acids like glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and lactic acid (and even Vit C, to a degree). Hyaluronic acid doesn’t strip or sensitize the skin the way the other acids do.
What’s on your nails what did you ask for on your nails?
No sunscreens?
Not this time around!
The Blowout Proffessor says scalp scrubs are a marketing gimic. I tend to agree.
Darn I wish this video had posted during the recent Ulta sale because the L'Occitane product was 50% off. I kept wavering about getting it but I decided not to. Oh well. 😢
Ahhh 🥲
I can’t spend lots of money on body soap. Especially somethig. I use a lot of and would go through quickly.. lots of great products from the drug store .
❤❤❤
I’ve never clicked so fast lol
hehe ❤
Is it just me or does Jamie says "cleansie bomb"?
😂😂😂 I may just be talking a bit too fast
@@JamiePaige I actually like how enthused you get about stuff:)
Did you ever think prior to RUclips that some day you’d sit in front of a camera and show thousands and thousands of people your beauty garbage? Can we just appreciate this and laugh? I mean, I’m here for it but did I ever think this was how I’d spend my free time at 40? 😂❤😂 🥲
It’s quite funny for sure 😂
