@@adventurefishinguk well tbh managed a good bit of Guiness and Rum as I was along with five friends (a 40th B'day bash) so it was a little cramped and I slept on the floor. Still good excuse to get up to watch sunrise with a Guiness and brilliant company. Actually we were so lucky that morning as the previous evening we had climbed up in a horrific rain storm and mega low clouds, you could not make out the lake below such was the lack of visibility. Then next morning like a slight switch had flicked and it was GLORIOUS up there. I highly recommend staying over if you are able it's etheral 😀

Congratulations on achieving 10K subscribers. I have always enjoyed taking a telescopic or similar light rod and seeing what lives in the smaller streams, seasonal ponds etc, I have had some surprises over the years with what species and sometimes the unexpected size of the resident fish, especially off the beaten track in India, Africa and the USA.
@@adventurefishinguk I was fortunate to grow up with my dad being a civil engineer building power stations and factories in the 60's and 70's so spent years living in exotic places and fishing unusual venues, Tigerfish and Vundu (catfish) in the Zambezi, then Lungfish in a seasonal pan (Small lake) take any opportunity to travel and go fishing, I had some good sessions when I was working in the USA as well.
@@Rhodietoo very fortunate! I hope to travel and fish a lot more soon, it’s just complicated with a baby. Off to Madeira though in a month or so, can’t wait!

What a great trip that's why we go out fishing to see breath taking views like that.the fish are a bonus. Similar to some lochs I used to fish when I was younger not far from my parents. I found little mepps or something with a flash worked well in those type of lochs rather than crank baits.
Thanks mate! Yeah it’s always such good fun fishing places like that. Mepps always work well, but tend to work better I find when the fish are chasing bait rather than flies. I did have a knock on a small one at first though!
👍🏻 I have often thought about hitting some small waters on the moors by me.I dry fly rivers with fly rod and tenkara Brooks and small rivers with dry fly.Hitting small moor lakes is a good idea

wow i walked up that mountain in february and saw some small fish jump out of those lakes. I also thought i saw a fish jump out the pond right at the top of the mountain so maybe you could try and fish there if you haven't already. Well done for 10k and another amazing vid!!!

At 12.30 that could well be the best looking trout I've ever seen. Just got back from taking the Grandsons fishing on Loch Earn. Stunning scenery, lovely looking trout. But mate you just trumped both........ Great video.

wow i walked up that mountain in february and saw some small fish jump out of those lakes. I also thought i saw a fish jump out the pond right at the top of the mountain so maybe you could try and fish there if you haven't already. Well done for 10k and another amazing vid!!!
