Fishing this TINY Mountain Lake left me SPEECHLESS! ⛰

  • Lure fishing a REMOTE high altitude mountain pond ended up being one of the most incredible fishing trips of my life. Needing to drive a couple of hours, then hike a couple of hours way up to a lake I didn't even know had trout in paid off in the end, although trout fishing has never been so tiring! We also take a look at a very interesting an unusual method, how to catch trout using a crankbait like a dry fly. The wish goldfish lure strikes again!
    I'm really pleased to have been able to make the 10k special this special. It's been an incredible journey making youtube fishing videos for you guys over the last few years, and it's led me to more opportunities than I could have ever imagined! I'm really grateful to each and every one of you for all your support, liking, watching and commenting. It's really helped Adventure Fishing UK become what it is today!
    As always, thanks for watching and if you are new to the channel, i'd really appreciate you hitting that subscribe button and coming along for the ride! Hoping to do a lot more videos like this in the future 👍🎣
    For sustainability purposes, I'd appreciate it if no one mentioned any location names in the comments below too!
    Remember, you can get 10% off anything on the rigged and ready travel rods website using discount code AFUK10 at checkout. Available from: riggedandready.net/
    Hopefully i'll see you for the next video!

    Well done pal, stunning location after that gruelling climb! Treasured fish gently handled, which you made a point of, very important now you're in the big time!
    You might have struggled with a dry fly, in bright sun without any ripple, probably a 18ft leader would be needed to keep the fly line shadow away from the fish, so you probably did the right thing in the end!
    You'll soon be trekking up there with the little un on a back carrier!
    Good to see you getting equally excited about those little mountain brownies just the same as big bass or pike etc. Just proves size isn't everything! I've just been to Mull on the scottish west coast, I've wandered what some of those tiny lochans would be like, but the trek tends to put me off, and I end up chasing sea trout in the estuaries instead! 👍👍👍

    • @adventurefishinguk
      @adventurefishinguk  Год назад

      Thanks for watching mate! Yeah I think I would have definitely struggled casting a leader that long, I tend to keep them very short so I can have better control and turn the flies over easier! @@adventurefishinguk well tbh managed a good bit of Guiness and Rum as I was along with five friends (a 40th B'day bash) so it was a little cramped and I slept on the floor. Still good excuse to get up to watch sunrise with a Guiness and brilliant company. Actually we were so lucky that morning as the previous evening we had climbed up in a horrific rain storm and mega low clouds, you could not make out the lake below such was the lack of visibility. Then next morning like a slight switch had flicked and it was GLORIOUS up there. I highly recommend staying over if you are able it's etheral 😀

    Congratulations on achieving 10K subscribers. I have always enjoyed taking a telescopic or similar light rod and seeing what lives in the smaller streams, seasonal ponds etc, I have had some surprises over the years with what species and sometimes the unexpected size of the resident fish, especially off the beaten track in India, Africa and the USA.

      @@adventurefishinguk I was fortunate to grow up with my dad being a civil engineer building power stations and factories in the 60's and 70's so spent years living in exotic places and fishing unusual venues, Tigerfish and Vundu (catfish) in the Zambezi, then Lungfish in a seasonal pan (Small lake) take any opportunity to travel and go fishing, I had some good sessions when I was working in the USA as well.
