    That is mental fishing. Just goes to show, it's not about the size, but the skill of the angler and appreciation of the fish. Those fish are just stunning. Worth the effort to get there.

    Well done George and on a veritable millpond too. I'm a fly man myself , just back from some wild trout fishing in Shetland. Not easy fishing but that's the most fun type of fishing.
    Cycle, walk , explore . Oh and well done on the 10000. My folks live near Poulton so keep expecting to bump into you on the Wyre or the Ribble. Congrats . Callum

      Thanks mate! I'm hoping to do a bit more fly fishing over winter. You might bump into me down there on day aye, I don't fish the ribble too much but I'm hoping to this year!

    Congratulations on achieving 10K subscribers. I have always enjoyed taking a telescopic or similar light rod and seeing what lives in the smaller streams, seasonal ponds etc, I have had some surprises over the years with what species and sometimes the unexpected size of the resident fish, especially off the beaten track in India, Africa and the USA.

      @@adventurefishinguk I was fortunate to grow up with my dad being a civil engineer building power stations and factories in the 60's and 70's so spent years living in exotic places and fishing unusual venues, Tigerfish and Vundu (catfish) in the Zambezi, then Lungfish in a seasonal pan (Small lake) take any opportunity to travel and go fishing, I had some good sessions when I was working in the USA as well.

    What a great trip that's why we go out fishing to see breath taking views like that.the fish are a bonus. Similar to some lochs I used to fish when I was younger not far from my parents. I found little mepps or something with a flash worked well in those type of lochs rather than crank baits.

    • @adventurefishinguk
      @adventurefishinguk  2 года назад +1

      Thanks mate! Yeah it’s always such good fun fishing places like that. Mepps always work well, but tend to work better I find when the fish are chasing bait rather than flies. I did have a knock on a small one at first though!

    For George and Harry.
    Lads, lads, some of the best spinning content I've seen! Your boundless enthusiasm makes them so. I've only been fishing (mostly fly) for two years now but I sooooo get it. The end of season is harder than quitting smoking but you guys are like a wee nicotine patch that keeps me sane. From one to another.... Harry your a nutter, never change, stop or stutter. Had a look at your merch, it's looking great. Best of luck for the future. Garry from Edinbugh.
