That’s what you get 9 months after a circ saw and jigsaw have a wild night in Vegas.
LMFAO!!!!
OMG! One more thing to worry about should I have the mis-fortune to work in LV again. With *my* luck they'd both get an STD/STI. 🤣
I bought one of those saws. I love it so much more than i thought I would. Super visible blade, really bright light. I can rotate that dust ejection port and it feels really good running it. The base is perfectly in line with the blade so it never boggs down while using a guide to make long cuts.
Don't worry DeWalt.... I won't leave you
From my understanding, DeWlt and Flex are made by the same company.
Either way, I'm not giving up my DeWalt tools
@@ericwilliams538 they arent
@@nuclearexplosion5841 yes they are made by Chevron, I actually just looked it up.
@@ericwilliams538 may have the same parent company, that doesn’t mean they’re the same tools the batteries are definitely not interchangeable
@@robertbeirne9813 just because the batteries arent interchangeable doesnt mean anything.
I literally just looked this up today after getting a notification from the person who commented earlier.
I so wish that we could post pictures in the comments so I can show you exactly what I read and saw.
Also, I didnt say that they were exactly the same. Batteries dont have to be interchangeable for them to be made at the factory.
FINALLYYYY DEAR GOD SOMEONE HAS HAD THE SENSE AND ENGINEERING TO FREAKIN REMOVE THE BULK TO THE 1 SIDE WHICH ALMOST ALWAYS GETS IN THE DAMNED WAY OF SOMETHING DAMN IT!!!
HOLLY HELL NICE FN DESIGN! NICE SLIMMMM HIGHLY VISABLE BLADE DESIGN MAKING IT A 1000 TIMES EASIER TO CUT SHIT AND TO DO SO MORE ACCURATELY AS WELL I BELIEVE!! WOW!!!
HOPE TO HELL ALLL OVERS FOLLOW THIS DESIGN!!!!🎉❤
Looks awesome. Yes, it’s taller, but you have to put the motor somewhere. Seems much more practical to have a taller saw, than one with a motor sticking out the right side. Much easier to clamp straight edges, etc. Looking forward to the roll out.
How much?
Wouldn’t having a higher center of mass increase your chances of kickback?
i wan't to buy that awesome tool but i didn't have enough money, and finally i made it 😅
Not gonna lie, that cutting depth would make this saw very useful for me
Definitely!
It's a 6-1/2" blade. What cutting depth are you looking for?
@@terry504able it may only be a 6& 1/2 blade but the design of the saw means you get a little more depth of cut so I see where he is coming from
The max cutting depth at 90 degrees is 2-9/16 on this bad boy. That's a little deeper than some 7-1/4 saws offer.
@@terry504able oh wow, I thought it was 7 1/4. I haven't even seen this saw up for sale yet and I've been looking for it specifically so I ended up getting a Kobalt xtr 7 1/4 and this thing is pretty nice especially for the price.
Very nice! Straightedge-friendly and exceptional cutting depth.
The proof is in the pudding as they say. I just saw the other day the Flex hammer drill go up against a 6 year old Makita and a second-hand Milwaukee M18 and it failed miserably! 3/4” spade bit into timber joist (I think all used the drill setting) and it could not get through 2 holes without stalling out.
This circ say design is great! And for someone like me, a homeowner/DYI person it would be perfect as my old Ryobi “blue” is heavily than a sack of potatoes and I usually just use my B&D trim saw. However, I think a true contractor wants a 7.5” and a framer wants a worm-drive or rear handle.
Overall, it’s going to come down to cost and range compared to the big 3 of Dewalt, Makita and Milwaukee and you know they will all, along with Home Depot have several “special buys” or “buy one get one” deals that Flex will just not be able to do at first. So get ready for those deals at Home Depot in a few weeks when the Flex comes out at Lowe’s!
I think always broke video was using just a drill not the flex hammer drill.
Wow. That slim design just makes sense.
I'll keep my 7-1/4 Milwaukee fuel. The smaller blades are often hard to come by and the extra rotating mass helps the saw not to bog down as easy
I have an ancient DeWalt corded saw with a very similar design. Its like a rear handle worm drive but tilted up and narrow. It's left handed style with a rafter hook. Is amazing up in the rafters.
Wow that’s insanely thin
You guys need to chill with the music. It’s a saw homie.
Well that's what I wanted to see. It seemed to cut well in what looked to be pretty dense pine. I would like to try one it would take up a lot less space in my toolbox which would be nice but would it cut through oak and nails
I'd be scared as sh@ to even think about running into nails with those big toothed blades....is it what people generally do?
That's pretty cool
It has begun.
That’s awesome. I hope Milwaukee copies it.
Can’t wait to see how these guys do. TIA#1!!!
Welp that design got me I had to just order one now, I hope works well because I chose this over a milwaukee I wouldn't mind having a flex battery as well so i can get into their line of tools when more stuff comes out their drill drivers seem pretty nice but most of my stuff is Milwaukee so lets see how it competes
I’ll stick with my skilsaw worm drive
Just noticed it has a exit snorkel for sawdust that you could probably attach a vac hose to.
that’s actually pretty nifty
If it was a 7 1/4 I'd be in.
This cuts the same wood that 7 1/4 can
@@BigInjun05 My point was a 7 1/4 would cut even deeper then a current sidewinder 7 1/4....not that this can do the same depth as one.
This kit is on sale for $250 through April 17th 2024 at lowe's
An absolute new FLEX look
Kinda want this as my roof saw
The handle is too high, dust port is in the wrong spot. And a 6 1/5 inch blade. Hard hard pass
WOW SUPER LOVE
Good on flex thinking outside the norm and creating a great option..I like the design and would love to give one a go, I see many benefits of this design
If Steve Jobs made a battery saw:
This company is going to dominate.
Or it could end up like Ridgid that was destine to dominate as Home Depot’s premier line but never did. The big problem is the huge range and reputation of DeWalt and Milwaukee and all the contractors that are heavily invested in them. And when it comes to homeowners and DYI folks like me DeWalt offers entry level ranges like Atomic or their 12v and really owns that “name-recognition” market among first time tool buyers who want to go beyond consumer tools. (I do have a couple of older DeWalt corded tools, but no cordless at this point).
The other point too, as I said in another comment, is that Dewalt, Milwaukee and Makita constantly have specials at Home Depot and that is something Flex cannot compete with starting out. Flex will only do well if, and only if, they can compete on range and price, that’s it. Maybe a couple of their tools will have unique designs as this does, but why go there otherwise?
It needs at least 5 more years to lay proper foundation, it’s not as simple as tools being powerful, they also have to offer good warranty and support down the road, and prove to be a stable platform with decent selection of tools. Easier said than done
@@willng34 Yes for sure. Part of the problem as well is Lowe’s invested in getting the Craftsman line a few short years ago, and that’s part of Stanley-B&D which is DeWalt. At the time they sort of pushed Kobalt aside which is owned by Lowe’s and Chervon makes the Kobalt tools (at least the XTR range). There was rumors at the time Craftsman would replace Kobalt but Craftsman has really sort of stalled out.
So now they will have DeWalt and Flex as their top-tier. But DeWalt offers several ranges: 12v, Atomic, 20v Max, XR and Power Detect so in a way they offer DYI to ProSumer to Contractor tools.
Kobalt XTR is ProSumer to bumping up to Pro. (And to me the main comparison to Flex being both are 24v lines)
Craftsman is DYI (and basically re-badged lower line DeWalts)
Kobalt standard is DYI
Skil PwrCore 20 is DYI, and Skil 12 is more homeowner. (Also a Chervon brand - and both have done excellent in reviews against the big 3 brands of DeWalt, Milwaukee and Makita)
Bosch and Metabo - who knows what will happen to them once Flex comes in being they have been so heavily discounted right now.
So Chervon covers the range from Contractor on down.
Stanley B&D covers the range as well (you could throw in B&D and Porter-Cable but those brands on practically dead at Lowe’s)
So overall, Flex is going to have a tough road and not only needs a huge range but offer pro-grade tools and consumer-grade prices to capture new buyers. And I do not think for a minute that folks currently on DeWalt or Milwaukee lines will budge at all.
@@willng34 oh yeah and what's your track record of owning and starting tool companies?
@@FunAtDisney They never pushed Kobalt aside lmao
If only this available in my country
So what exactly makes this saw unique? Maybe lose the idiotic music and explain the benefits of the saw? Just a thought.
I can't hear you over the music.
nice I will have to get one this weekend to try it out
"Looks good" but the key is how much does it cost and can it stand against the rest.
Looks great
That’s cool but I don’t like having to carry multiple saws
Very nice and badass riff anyone know what song that is😜
WOW...tell me more...oh what? You can't hear me because my circular saw is running
Dewalt has a 6" skillsaw that is sometimes around 100 bucks. I had one for 6 years!!!
Where can i get this circular FLEX saw in Malaysia???
What is machine name
I luck it...I luck it ahhh-lot.
amazing 👏 🙀 😯
Looks like the dust shoot works well might be able to use a bag
That will be perfect for me for cutting the tops out of floor joists between 6 inch floorboards to put my pipes in
Just have to see how much it cost’s with batt + charger
More compan need to Do that. It's smart design
Pass. I have the Milwaukee M18 worm drive and it’s more than suffice for building professionally.
It's not actually a worm drive, just a rear handle. And this 6 1/2 isn't meant to compete with it. It serves different needs
Amezing tool i need to order
So it barely cuts though 11/2" of a 2x4☹
Let me know when it will cut though a full 4x4, 31/2"!!! LOL 😆
Then you might have something worth buying 🤔!!
If that dust port works, that's woth price of admission alone
is it useful or just looks cool?
So is it a belt drive because it's definitely not a worm drive.
Very nice
Fun fact: this music doesn't makes six and a half inches seem big
Have it love it
Looks as if the blade is ether belt or chain driven from the motor. Will happily stick with my Milwaukee fuel.
Flex is owned by "Chevron Holdings" which is a chinese company based out of Nanjing. No thanks
Awesome! How wide is the shoe? What is blade diameter and depth of cut at 90?
Is flex really worth switching from Milwaukee?
Machin price
wooooow,,, amazing,, 🎉🎉
Did I tell ya what I want for Christmas?
The most problem would be in this times, a 24v system.
Hope to have one i wish so lol
Muito top essa máquina, pena que no Brasil não tem a venda essa marca...
Damnnnnn, what a beast
Ну наконец то кто то догадался его правильно сделать.
Muito bonita! Mais aqui no Brasil eu prefiro comprar uma dewalt que tenha assistência e também baterias com maior facilidade para encontrar.
Yeah
...the music was better
Who is playing in the background?
@@mattmedlin8358 no idea
Nice except the price.
If the parent company would have went with the EGO name, I might have jumped on board, because I already have a lot of EGO stuff.
But I already have Bosch and Milwaukee cordless options. It makes zero sense to add a 4th brand at this stage.
Cute saw though!
They make battery converters... as in Dewalt to Milwaukee or Dewalt to Ryobi and so on... Flex might be a little new, but give it time someone will make one
@@hmtrimworks7148 , I have not heard good things about adapters.
I'm a rebate Master, so I can run my Bosch and Milwaukee all day without a recharge. Not far away from saying the same about EGO.
No link for buy ??
Looks nice but I sure as fuck ain't leaving milwuakee for anything.....ever
That's too bad....Kobalt would eat your Milwaukee for a snack.
@@patricksheeley5265 kobalts alright, but I still haven't seen one take my milwuakee yet, 24 v still can't take the Ole 18v. Go watch some test vids of people trying them out against a milwuakee. You'll see. Good try though bud
@@jakewilcox1185 Makita!!!
@@patricksheeley5265 oh he'll yeah, I have one makita grinder, git it from a good friend, things older than me and still does better than my milwuakee! Want to get some more but way to invested into milwuakee to change platforms at the moment
Flex и этим всё сказано!
Love it
If I could get this product ,you would very thankful.
Too tall, width versus height. Of course it needs that for the battery to clear.
Epic music
Thin as a pin.
I'll just keep my circa 1985 Skill®saw and my Makita worm drive.
makita doesn't make worm drive, only skill saw does. Don't believe me? Google what worm drive means and then google if makita ever made one
@@leftthenright88 I stand corrected. Hypoid drive Makita. Picky, picky, picky...🤣 I seldom use it as it weighs a boat load and the cord on it was extended by the previous owner substantially so unwrapping a 50ft cord is a hassle. Nice saw though considering it was "road kill".
@@blaydCA Why undo any cords at all... I went all cordless on Dewalt platform and all my corded tools have been on the shelf ever since.
@@hmtrimworks7148 that's fine for some tools. My tools WORK for a living. Batteries don't last forever. What works for some folks may not work for others.
@@blaydCA My tools WORK too... just built a 2400sq’ house with all battery powered tools
So is this like a worm drive?
What's the weight and is there a corded option?
И что доказал????? 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨 Вот если кубометр доски а прямом эфире нарежешь будет круто...... 🤨🤨🤨🤨👍👍👍
It looks really heavy
Wow that saw is cuts slow. But its great to look at! Guess it's good for the paid by the hour employee
Great for fine wood working. Less bulk for clamps and edges of corners
What is the price of this machine
Very nice. I was pissy that Chervon are using the Flex name on this line (Metabo HPT flashbacks) but the line itself is looking pretty good. I’m jumping on the XGT train and I absolutely cannot believe Makita isn’t launching with a 6.5” .
it's odd because there are like 3 165 40v saws in japan.
@@N1rOx My estimation is that they have a new 18v and 40v blade-left 6-1/2” in the works for NA, England and Oceania. The current NA style 6-1/2” is old (for Makita) and the price has just been reduced.
Price?
Yea looks great...where is it made
Tak pek e😂😂😂😂
Good 👍
Naw, not for me it’s a Milwaukee all the way….
Gostaria Muito de adquirir uma serra circular dessa!
You do realize dewalt has had a inline corded circ saw a for over 20 years its nothing new
@Dollar store Jesus Educate yourself dewalt made a saw dwg 378g look it up and its not worm drive
@Dollar store Jesus I'm not Lucifer I'm Lou Cifer
Which model is it?
Nice
Wonder what kind of wood it was cutting. I’m no expert when it comes to telling what kind of wood I’m looking at.
Insert jokes now 🤣🤣
Really tight growth rings though
Untuk harga 1 unit mesin jicsauw ini brp😊😊😊
All it is belt driven from the motor in the back. I'll keep my worm drive old skill saw
Were can i buy
