Sweet. FYI, just so you know, one of my 6.0ah stacked lithium batteries I have died on me for no good reason. I called Flex and the call lasted just over 7 minutes. They asked my info and a shipping address and that was it. No other questions asked. Said they are shipping a new one out within 48 hrs. Simple as that.
Thanks for the heads up Craig! This is a helpful comment because most Flex/Skil/Skilsaw tools are sent to me and not bought I haven’t been able to use the regular customer service line. I’ll tell you my normal contacts at Chervon are crazy helpful and about the friendliest folks you could meet. I’m happy to hear they treat customers with the same respect. Thanks for watching!!
@@ProjectsForAllReviews For sure. While I was disappointed the battery crapped out on me for some reason, the phone call was quick and the woman I spoke with was very pleasant. Of the ten or so circ saws I own this is become my go to for light to medium work. I really love the balance in the hand. It’s very comfortable to hold and easy on the wrist. Hi, I'm from EU and we have flex but different. This "new inline saw" has been sold in europe from flex model CS 45 18.0-EC C since 2021. Major difference is 18v platform and disk diameter 128mm(5 inch I think~). Flex is credited for inventing angle grinder in 1954 and in europe many nations call(nick name) angle grinders a flex/fleksa/fleksis/etc. Flex tools in europe are painted red and battery platform is 18v.
I really liked this one. Nowadays you can buy a circular saw in almost any size and configuration you can imagine. I didn't know inline was a great idea until I tried it. Thanks for watching Patrick!
Thanks Bradley! You aint kidding about that battery. Im really looking forward to checking out the stacked lithium bats. I have a feeling Im going to be really tired after that comparison video. Thanks for watching!
I bought the Flex 6 1/2" inline saw at Lowes, and it's an amazing saw. I got it because it's maybe the best designed saw on the market, with full dust control, while retaining left blade visibility, and it's also belt drive, allowing the deepest cut of any 6 1/2 or 7 1/4 inch cordless saws at 2 9/16" depth. The saw addresses the main problem with worm drive saws, which is the lack of dust control. Flex solved the left blade dust problem with the amazing dust port and adjustable elbow that blows most of the dust away from you. What I've found (and wasn't expecting at all) is that Flex has better quality control than Milwaukee on their circular saws. I tried two Milwaukee #2732 M18 cordless 7 1/4" circular saws with a right blade configuration (their new flagship model) brand new from Home Depot, and both saws were misaligned by .020" on the shoe plate, so they were useless for precision straight edge guided cuts, because the blade would leave severe blade marks. I was really shocked to see such a horrible misalignment. It has permanently ruined my respect for Milwaukee. A .020" misalignment is probably the worst misalignment you can find. The Flex saws, both that I've purchased, are absolutely 0.000" dead parallel between the blade and the shoe. Another surprise is that the Flex saw motors sound dramatically better than the horrible shrill sound of the Milwaukee M18 model #2732 which produces a bad gear whine and motor whine. In Project Farm's tests, a Flex 7 1/4" right blade saw performed at or near the top in every test. When factoring in their ergonomics, metal parts, perfect accuracy out of the box, their current pricing and current lifetime warranty option, they really might be the best cordless saw.
I really liked that circ saw. It’s half the width of a normal circ and it handles easy. Can’t wait to check out the next Flex tools. Thanks for watching!
Another great tool and I like inline saws; but, alas an old guy like me isn't ready to start a new battery line. If only I were 40 years younger. Mike, you're doing an outstanding job on your channel.
I’ve been crazy impressed with the Flex tools I’ve used so far. Still haven’t gotten my hands on the stacked bats yet but hopefully soon! Thanks for watching Pete!
Great video and channel! Question for you: Im just starting doing DIY type projects around the house, I don't have any saws (no circular/wormdrive or miter or table). I want a versatile saw - something that could be used for other purposes so I was leaning towards the mobile saws like the Flex circular sidewinder, inline saw like this one, and Flex's rear handle saw vs the table or miter saw. Let me know if you think I am mistaken in wanting to lean towards these more portable saws vs miter or table saw. Having said that, if you had to pick one, which portable hand saw would you recommend: Flex's sidewinder, rear handle or this in-line saw? I would want smooth accurate cuts to be able to replicate a miter and table saw for general all purpose versatility. I'm not a framer, nor do I make furniture or anything just a general hobbyist but I would be interested to make anything so I want a saw that is versatile enough to accommodate for any project in the future. Look forward to your advice!
