Going through my tackle inventory, I was able to break it down to my top 168 lures for June 👍
Hahaha can I get some?
Sharing is caring 😢😂😅
You know too much.
😂
That's it? I'm stuck with 180 and that's just soft plastics lol
Matt, y'all are a great/horrible influence. Great because you have just the BEST advice and more knowledge than anyone. But horrible because I just ordered an 843MBR NRX+, and my wallet protests! haha
Love both the swim baits you talk about. I always have both them in my tackle box and don't run out ever because of you guys!!! Like you I have done so well with these baits!! Love them and thank you for all your teachings, support, and all you do!! Because of you guys I have come so much closer with my daughter and have something we both enjoy doing that we can do together!! Love you guys!!
Yo Matt, you are one of the most enthusiastic bass guru on the web, love the way you share your knowlage about bass fishing with us. Cheers,
I love swing heads so I much I stared pouring my own this year.
Man thank you guys!! Most useful videos on youtube!!! My sisters family moved from here in shasta county to Tennessee! I told them I'd come stay and do some fishing!
Very detailed explanation. Just the Kind of information I was looking for. I appreciate you
Hey Matt: This video brings up something I’ve thought about a few times. There are some lure brands that are so we’ll know for one specific bait that allot of the other ones they offer that may be really good get overlooked. Some examples would be the Zman jackhammer chatter bait the Yamamoto Senko the yum dinger and the Bill Lewis rat l trap just to name a few. A dedicated video on this topic would be cool. Just food for thought and happy fishing…🎣🤔😎🐝
Mhmy gr y o
I love hearing about the swinghead jig! Thank you!
Beautiful view on the lake! Looks amazing out on the water. Great content and you're a great youtuber! LOVE ITTTT💙
I don't know how old you are, but your enthusiasm is great. I wish you were my neighbor, so you could get my enthusiasm back. 😂
now all we need is your comforting reasurance that we will have a good summer this year😊
Been killing it with the popper here in South Florida, good one's too.
Right now I’m Texas rigging a Bandito bug most of the day and crushing it shallow. Morning and night, it’s the kicknocker for me. Just got a bunch of the new 10th anniversary editions and they simply crush it.
Hey Matt great video as always Matt you have given me so much incite on different ways to catch these bass . You and Tim are just awesome thanks again and God bless you and Tim's families and I hope Mrs Allen and Mrs little and the kids are happy and healthy . I enjoy your channel so much Matt I think you're channel and fish the moment are the best u tube channels for learning. Ps I like the tactical bassin underspin. I'll have to pick some up and I found out about you guys crankbait. Thanks again.
This is awesome! Super helpful techniques. Thanks!
I think the world pop and the pulse cod are the only one's with a magic trick up their sleeve. Love those things. Megabass poppers and OSP louders are runners up for me.
Who makes the world pop? Looking for something new.
@@mxbass1036 Shimano
@rhodesianhunter9360 world pop is the best popper on the market right now
I throw a Biffle Bug on the swing head and Texas rig this time of year. They can’t resist it
I’m still shocked Tacticalbassin doesn’t have more followers. Best bass fishing channel on RUclips in my opinion. I’ve learned an incredible amount from Matt and Tim. Keep up the excellent work guys and thank you for sharing your fishing knowledge with everyone 🤙🏼🎣
Best channel on RUclips period.
527,000 followers isn’t enough?! Most Pro bass fisherman don’t have this many and most of those have no where NEAR the view #’s!
I have DAYS of videos of TB watched.
@@Bassassinator When guys like 1rod1reel have about 1/5000th the useful content and 1.6M subscribers? Yeah, it's not enough for what they deserve. They should be at 5M.
They’d easily have 2M+ if their videos weren’t all 20-30 minutes long. These guys give the best bass fishing advice / tips on the internet without a doubt. They’ve helped me improve TREMENDOUSLY as a bass fisherman, but until they can find a way to condense these videos to 5-10mins, the channel will continue to grow slowly
On my way to the lake now. Perfect timing
I’m kind of obsessed with squarebills lately, haha such a fun bite man. Lost a good one though the other day so naturally I went home and ordered a Mojo Glass. 😂 Got the 7’2” Medium. Hope it’s not too light, never had a glass rod before. I see you have the MH linked here. We shall see. 😁🤙🏽
That PAUSE strike on the SB gets my heart jumping every time! I have just discovered frog lures and they are also deadly this time of year.
@@Bassassinator Hahaha the one I lost smashed it on the pause. 😎🤙🏽 So fun. Chatterbait has been my other money maker as of late.
Great content as usual Mr Matt. I have made this comment several times but I would love to see you guys break down my home lake Neely Henry here in Gadsden Alabama not far from you guys. Looking forward to seeing the next one...🤘🤘✌️🖖
Bama Bug is the 'why choose?' for GP/Junebug fans. It's one of my favs!
Thank you Matt, incredible as always ❤👍
Finaly a big youtube chanell have find out that x zone do great plastic bait. The x zone true center stick in junebug (5 inch whacky) is my favorite:) And x zone is in a good price.
Thanks!
🤙🏾
🥇🏆👋🏻
Matt , black grape has been my #1 worm color for 53 years. #2 has been June bug. I have many other colors in my boat but those two account for 95% of my worm fish. I agree 100% with your other June picks and thanks for the video.
Had some good bites on swim baits and Jerkbaits this weekend 🔥
Great vid, any different recommendations on baits when fishing mostly ponds/small lakes here in central FL?
jealous of all of these lakes you can throw treble and deep baits in. My main 2 ponds are covered in lily pads and grass. Have been doing well with weightless flukes on 3-4/0 EWG
Few other really good baits for that type of water....9" pearl slug-go weightless, 7" gambler fat ace soft stickbait weightless, and a pearl or your favorite color Stanley ribbit w/ a weighted screw lock swimbait hook swam just under the surface....they were smokin' that yesterday in the shallow grass! Give it a try
Do a vid of those will ya!!@@andybales7318
One of my favorites is the poppers and it's killing it right now for me! Awesome video guys!
How do YOU fish and cast yours?
@@Bassassinator I'm not quite sure what your asking but I fish mine with with either 15-20lb braid with 15lb mono leader on casting gear... hopefully that answers your question
Matt, what hooks and size are you using for the big curly tails? What is your weight preference when up shallow?
Great work guys!
Do you do some videos catering to fishing from the bank? I feel like there are some differences I'm missing in both technique and bait choice or that I have some disconnect in applying bank to boat fishing from the bank itself. I and most fishers I know do not have a boat or have limited access to a boat.
Nice video lest fishing 🎣 family's thankz guys
Water temp was 60.1 yesterday morning. Still on beds in S central WI.
Does the June bug colors work in Northern California like the delta and other lakes?
Matt does it again! Says top 5 and there are 6 baits in the Cover photo! 😂 great video guys, thanks for the great info as usual!
😂😂😂
Thanks for the vid Matt! With the big worm, what size/style hook and what kind of weight do you like using with it? And do you peg the weight?
EWG 5/0 with a tungsten flipping weight 1/2 oz is the sweet spot. I peg the weight most of the time. I don’t think Matt pegs it.
Just my .02....shallow water with a 10" worm.. bobber stop, 3/16 weight, 5/0 hook...deeper water 3/8-1/2 weight...>>>12" worm...bobber stop, 3/16 weight, 7/0 hook shallow water & 1/4-/3/8 weight for deepee....in shallow, heavy grass a 1/16- 1/8 oz weight w/ a 10-12" black worm with a slow swim/twitch just under the surface for some explosive strikes
Thanks
I’m in Maryland and have had little luck.
I just simply can't throw bottom contact baits bc the bottoms on my lakes are junk, every time I hit the bottom im pulling so much crap off my baits. Fortunately most of the lakes I fish are less then 8 feet at the deepest so not much difference between top and bottom.
Once again. This video is on point. Caught them on Texas rigged worms. Deep and shallow cranks. Shakey heads. And swim baits this weekend. Spot on!!!
YUM Dingers FTW!! Cheaper, performs better, and holds up better than Yamimotos. I catch 3 times more bass on Yum than Yam.
Also I just Started fishing, and I know the basics, but where do you fish? I can't find a good spot
take my money tackle warehouse
haha me to
Same 😂
Hey Matt how about colors that work in the southwest fisheries? Mead, Powell, Mohave, Havasu, Saguaro. Is junebug even really a thing here? You mention north, south, and California but not the desert region.
What do you think is the best lure to go with on the Mississippi River fishing from the bank ??
Upper Mississippi River La crosse Wisconsin
Hey Matt! When you say "shallower" or "deeper" water for that wobble head, how shallow or deep do you actually mean? For me, "deep" is 15 feet lol so I'm curious if we're talking about the same depth
I didn't specify on purpose. Lakes with current, your preferred retrieve speed, bottom composition, etc... all play into that answer. In short... if you want to go faster and still maintain bottom contact, size up.
@@tacticalbassin Ok awesome thanks!
Y'all think the swingheads are still working on highland reservoirs and spotted bass. They look good and I've got a bunch but nobody fishes them here....no confidence so I don't throw them. Are they better on windy days?
Do you have a suggestion for baits on the wobble head for smallmouth?
Why is the TUBE not in this group Matt.
Any tips I have never been able to catch any fish in like a river in the backround
However, not many throw a Keitech Easy Shiner.
When/Why did you change from the Z Craw to the Adrenaline Craw?
We compared underwater footage of the baits and were shocked by the Adrenaline's stronger kick at slower speed. Both are effective fish catchers 👍🏼
Bluegill Cranks are killing it for me right now in the south. However they stop biting it around lunch. Puzzled as to what to use for around lunch time when it gets up to about 88 degrees. Anyone have suggestions?
what about in florida does it change anything?
Would a chatterbait also be good for the mouth of june
What line do you use with the showerblow and Pop X?
Who the hell get's bit on Junebug? I've literally never gotten a bite on Junebug in spite of this channel encouraging me to fish it.
Do you happen to fish a clear water highland reservoir?
@@tacticalbassin Yes I'm in southern oregon, all super clear mountain rezos.
June bug usually does great for me in dirty or murky water. In clear water I have good luck with green pumpkins or watermelon red flake.
I keep going to lakes and not evem getting a bite
But the guys at the docks are catching them
Im going where you say and nothing
I just got my BFS set up. I can't believe how well the system works I've been killing them right in front of other people who don't catch nothing it's amazing
What about keitechs?
What size craw for the wobble head? 3.5 or 4.5?
I was wondering the same. Close up of the package at 18:06 of the video shows him holding a 4.25" size 6pk. Which matches the description on TW.
Can't believe you didn't include the frog 😮
Headon torpedoes that look like baby bass?
I don’t know what’s wrong for me but I haven’t caught a bass in 4 weeks.
Dang! I feel bad when I get skunked one day. You need to get more confident with one bait that you KNOW will catch fish!
For me, it is a 4” YUM dinger in Watermelon Green TX-Rigged. I catch 3-5 bass daily from a HIGHLY pressured pond using them.
Sure, it is slow fishing and most casts don’t pan out, but when you see that line walking, you KNOW the fight is ON!!!
👍👍👍👌👍
If you aren't first, you're last!!

I lived my whole life by that!
Even in the bedroom 😂😮
You can be second, third, hell you can even be fourth

Love your videos, great information. One criticism though would be better if you shorten them up. Your just a little bit of chatty Kathy's.
the month of june has zero impact on fishing. fish do not live by a calander.
Just venting, it’s been 3 months since I caught my last bass and I go fishing every chance I get the issue we don’t have it like you do I in your area every pond lake reservoir where you live are staked with bass. I live in the San Fernando valley calif. and every lake or reservoir is pressured fishing making Bass fishing different from what you show and I own the same gear and tackle but after this week end of renting a boat going to Castaic lake getting skunked after 8 hrs of slinging different baits colors, and still going out this morning and still zero I’m sorry to I quit not worth it watching videos and techniques that just won’t work out here it doesn’t exist
I fish a HIGHLY PRESSURED pond daily. I almost ALWAYS catch bass. The key is moving and trying all three levels (top water, mid, and bottom).
If your bait isn’t working, switch colors or lures until they bite! I may go through 10 lures before I find what they are wanting that day.
Post spawn, there a TON of bait fish for them to feed on and that seems to be their primary focus. Try throwing a weightless Tx-rigged ZOOM Sexy Shad Super Fluke Jr on a 3/0 EWG or whatever matches your hatch!
Try the south african special in the zcraw on a swing head.
