Dang, I always tied the crankbait on the split ring opposite of where I was supposed to. Always thought there was danger in the thinnest part of getting damaged. You explain things so much better than any other pro.
I'd definetly say Edwin has the best informative Channel out there with great explanations without over-explaining making me want to skip ahead. Thanks, Edwin!!!!
I never tie the line on the split ring opening. I always thought it could rub the knot and break off. I guess that’s why you are the “Professional”. Thanks again for sharing all the knowledge you know. Keep sharing and bring us along the bass hunt.
Edwin, My son and I are just learning about summer fishing. He,s 14,and fishing is giving us time together. He even has his own tackle box..So cool,,,,Thanks for your videos...We take your info to the lake..Notes and all..Stay blessed.
U just blew my mind with that tip of tying on the narrow part of the split ring...I always avoided doing that bc I thought it might cut off my knot but you make complete sense! Thanks~
All my years Bass fishing, I’ve never thought about using a crankbait deeper than what I want to fish. Makes a lot of sense the more I think about it. Thanks for the insight, Double E!
Hey Edwin, I have to say thanks for taking the time for us non pros... Your videos are the best. I have become more confident and knowledgeable watching your videos than you could imagine. Can't wait for next video..
Great info as always!! I feel like an idiot for not knowing the split ring tying tip. I've never been to concerned about rigging everything perfectly center, but I will now. Thanks again!
Thanks Edwin, the little Tweeks and your meticulous attention to detail on rigging your baits and knot tying has helped me catch so many more fish, it's Crazy Great info... Can't thank you enough for how thorough you are in these tutorials!
Thanks for the video Edwin. Been out of bass fishing for about 10 years . Just bought a new boat and endless trips to Bass Pro . It’s like I’m learning it all over again
I’m new to fishing but with your help I’ll be knowledgeable in fishing and will actually catch fish. I recently got out the army and I have ptsd I’m hoping fishing helps clear my mind. Thank you for your videos sir
Great tip on tying onto the slit ring. I have always done the opposite thinking that if I tied in the narrow portion the line could get pulled into the split therefor pinching or cutting into the line. Never thought about the perspective you gave. Thanks a lot. Love all the details. Great channel.
I knew basically nothing about crankbaits until i saw your video. You have the best tips. I need to get your CB you recommend into my arsenal. Thanks for this great video.
Hey! My son mason and I got to meet you at Dayton Boat ramp. Thanks for being so kind to my little boy, he loves his MLF hat!! Good luck this week! (Great tip on tying the knot where the split ring meets 👍🏼)
Edwin's videos are great! Explains everything like you were standing there with him about to drop a line in the water. If he's in tournament on TV I try to watch closely on what he does. Bet he's a great guy in life and family man.
2 of my toughest techniques to conquer covered right here! Deep cranking and hair jigs. Thanks Edwin, I gave aliitle more confidence following your advice! And of course, all Berkley baits...my go to!!
Good to know with the worm and that's my favorite color. I also like the crank bait. Here in Camden nj started fishing with hubby and kids now kids are grown still love fishing. Awesome
Thank you Sir. I have taken a long break from several years of tournament fishing in the west. Your detailed video information has really helped me tune up for a trip to El Salto Mazatlan. Keep 're up!
I just tied on a 5/8 oz. Hair Jig and can't wait to use it this weekend. I met you and got a picture of us together at the MLF tournament at LOZ, it was a pleasure. Thank you for all you do for us!
Your videos have been a big help. Still not catching many but some. Florida lakes get real hot. I am going to rig the way you are showing on this video and hope for more fish. Thanks
I love your great attitude and you have all your info at hand. Your knowledge of bass fishing is great. Before retiring I was a caterpillar training instructor for sixteen years. I loved that job,as you do yours. Thanks for the great video’s.
Thank you for the simplifying options for June. I have an entire garage full of tackle and sometimes it’s overwhelming of what to bring or start with. I’ll even lose sleep sometimes 😅 I’m headed out tonight and will have three rods rigged - deep crank, worm and bucktail jig…something I’ve yet to try for bass!
I will tie these up for this weekends tournament. I have identified four submerged bridges where the bass pull back off to this 10 - 12ft water for the summer. Thanks for your tips.
I really appreciate your videos. I don't have a boat full of electronics, nor 30 technique-specific rods- though that would be nice lol. I also live up North. But your videos always get to the meat and potatoes of how you can still catch 'em. Thanks for that. Your kind of fishing info is priceless !
I love fishing a shaky head. I don't fish deep divers very much but it's a technique I need to learn and use more. Just started using hair jigs more this year. The one Spro makes has been one of my top performing baits this year already. I'll definitely start throwing it even more this month!
Thanks for the the tip on where to tie on crankbait split rings. I've always wondered and now I know I've been doing it wrong... lol. I have yet to watch one of your videos and not pick up on something to improve my fishing. Another sincere thank you! 👍
Wow! I was working up a sweat just watching you catch fish after fish at Redcrest first time ever seeing you, great Job ! I had to watch more of your style before the morning comes up, it’s a excitement out on the water . I’m a rookie getting into bass fishing . Can’t wait to see more God bless! I also commented to put my name in the hat for my trophy with those awesome crank baits . Your crank bait would be my first one in my Arsenal and on my new 7’6” rod I got coming this next week!
I’m trying to learn how to fish rivers and lakes (Lake Dardanelle) after growing up in the boondocks fishing in creeks and ponds my whole life. Let’s say it’s been a challenge! My family didn’t have much back then and with 3 tours in college :). I now have a boat, electronics, and I’m trying to learn what I wanted to know back then. How to find and land the big toads. Because, my son likes to fish but he sure likes it a lot more when we can actually catch fish together. I’m failing at that part right now lol. I do appreciate all the tips and nuggets from your RUclips channel and Bass U classes. It’s helped out tremendously but I’ve still got a ways to go lol.
You are one of my favorite mlf pros and have been since I saw you destroy the competition at redcrest in the final round. You have great little tips and tricks. God bless you and your family and keep doin what you love.
I recently fished a BFL tournament after watching your top 3 baits for June video and started out throwing the chartreuse blue deep diving crankbait and the action could not have been more on key! But I didn’t change out the hooks and it cost me the tournament. I had to 4 pounders throw it back at me because the barbs were to small. Lesson learned. I finished 13th. Thanks for the video it definitely put me in the running.
very cool HD colors... i do the same thing with rigging the worms, and if it tears after catching a fish, i just trim it and reuse it, i can do this several times.. i havent tried the hair jigs... paddle tails are a favorite bait... great vid!!..
I’m finally making the push to fish offshore and it’s content like yours that makes the learning curve so much more bearable! Love your content appreciate your knowledge!!!

This video was very helpful. I am a first time viewer who is now subscribed. Love the energy. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the tie location information, all these years I have never made sure where my knot ends up
Dang, I always tied the crankbait on the split ring opposite of where I was supposed to. Always thought there was danger in the thinnest part of getting damaged. You explain things so much better than any other pro.
