I’m from south Jersey and my favorite jig that I use is the mini flip jig from missile baits 3/8 oz green pumpkin with 4 in chigger craw. Hope to see you at the Manasquan Reservoir this year
Ike, I always love your "top baits" videos! They've always helped me catch those big ol' bucket mouths! Grew up in Northern NJ, moved to So Cal in 2000, now I live in NC. Been killing it on poppers here in NC during late may. The other day I got em' on cranks, tops, spinner and drop-shot robos all in the same day! When its on, its on! Could have caught a LMB on a soda can with a treble that day!
I've been crushing bass from the bank, Northeast Ohio. T rigged Berkley Hit Worm, Watermelon Candy, and Plum Apple. Also, ZOOM Ultra Vibe Speed Craw, T rigged. Color, New Penny. I doctor it up by appying Spike-It crawfish on the claws.
I like a 4 to 6 inch shakey head. Cutting down a Berkeley Bottom Hopper and/or a Hit Worm. I also like the dime, but a I also like a grass pig on a swim bait jig over or through new grass on shallow to mid depth(5 to 10 foot) depths down here in The Pinebelt Area of South Central Mississippi where the man made lakes do not exceed 25 to 30 feet deep.
Like what you are teaching us about the baits of the month it's awesome but I fish in Connecticut and most of the lakes around here are only 12 feet deep what do you think people like me should use when the lakes are not that deep but hold good fish in them and get weeded over thick thank you for your help never give up
I have a lake by me with no real cover besides a line of milfoil about 40 feet wide and 10-15 feet deep. Would you Texas rig your plastics and try to punch through the milfoil or fish the weed line with something weightless? Also the milfoil doesn’t come up to the surface. It’s just about 2-3 feet below the surface.
I'm going to be fishing Lake Eufaula Open on June 20th- 1st bass tournament in years, but the first time in the back of the boat!!! My question is, do you get to practice with the pro, or do you have to wait until the tournament???
@@mulder5118 way more likely to catch 4+ lb bass on bigger baits...straight up common sense...big fish most times won't waste much energy going after a snack, unless it's placed in front of their face...I'm willing to bet a VERY low number of bass over 5 lbs are caught on a ned rig

Happy early birthday Ike!!
This deserves way more like he keeps it simple cheap and gives you options

Keep it quiet but NC is a great bass state, lots of lakes if you live in a central area. Lots of different style lakes too
Always waiting for you to put something up my 👍👍

Ned is a killer, all size fish. My PB was a 6 pounder on a light spinning rod/ ned rig.
Don’t get much more fun then that
I’m June 17 too 🎉
Let's Go!!!! Happy Birthday!!!
Hell yeah thank you appreciate
Great stuff but why is there a cut every 2 seconds?
June 26th is my birthday IKE
How about drop shot with your gilly on because they are guarding fry?
My daughter is June 17th
Happy Birthday!!!
Mike did you just call VA the north? 😅
My birthday is June 17th too😂
Let's Go!!!
That's the bluegill pattern you were holding up, not the perch. I have it in 3 sizes.
Whopper plopper is better than pooper and frog
So would you consider the Ozarks south or north. I'm thinking south.
Big fish=Big Baits....I'll replace the ned rig with Ike's Monster Jig in rainbow trout!
small baits equals big bass as well bub. they bite whatever they want weither it's big or small
