Dream Nailing All Bosses in Hallownest Vocalized (and Extra Boss Dialogue)

- Hallownest Vocalized is an incredible mod that adds voiced dialogue to Hollow Knight. This video compiles the voiced dialogue for bosses including their dream nail dialogue.
With this mod some dream nail dialogue plays during the fight automatically (for some like GPZ and the Collector, it can sometimes happen quite often). Additionally, there are multiple voice actors used for multi-boss fights such as Mantis Lords, Oblobbles, and Watcher Knights (however, while six folks are credited for Watcher Knights I could only hear four distinct voices). I've also muted the music and sound effects to clearly hear the voiced lines. Originally I recorded with those and found some lines difficult to hear.
Debug mod was used for an early dream nail and charms for anything I needed to dream nail outside Godhome. No clip was used to easily dream nail Flukemarm.
Lastly, I didn't get any voiced lines for the dialogue after winning against White Defender.

I love how Grimm's voice is kind of a combination of the voice he has in game and the voice the fandom likes to give him.

The Radiance's voice actress did an amazing job! It conveys a regal goddess, but one whose elegance has withered away by desperation and imprisonment.

A goddess who's gone mad with vengeance, possibly against someone who would've been willing to negotiate with her if there was a means to do so, before she crossed the line.
White defender sounds so sad man... I feel so bad, the voice acting is great

The radiance sounds so desperate and haunting, I never imagined her to sound like that, but it’s perfect
I love how False Knight sounds more like he’s trying too hard to sound brave like “I’M BRAVER THAN ALL OF YOU!!!” but Failed Champion sounds actually more brave “I’m braver than all of you!”
I love how the radiance sounds almost desperate like what she did was a last resort or she would be forgotten and die also she's up against the shade lord with the whole ancient enemy thing she's probably pissing herself realizing she's up against her by law mortal rival

I love Grimm, dude. I thought he was just an outsider wanting to consume the kingdom but he is aware of the king, he is aware of the kingdom's state, he is aware of the vessels created and, while in godhome, he is also aware of being brought there by the Godseeker. That's awesome

These voices really bring a new dimension to an already incredible game, I love the voice acting so much, very nuanced.

@@nopeguy9386 the actress rolls her r's in some lines slightly but that's about it. other than that it sounds brittish. i'm slavic, and i wish my pronounciation was that clear lol

The voices I adore the most are Uumuu and The Radiance.
Uumuu sounds staticky, electrified.. it sounds like a machine that isn't working right and I love it
The Radiance sounds desperate and angry, her voice sounds like it'd ring through your head and you'd try to make it stop but you wouldn't be able to because *its inside your head*.

Its funny how they gave hornets greenpath fight a unique dream voice despite how little players will get dreamnail before getting dash
I'm fairly certain they gave False Knight unique dialogue and its literally impossible to get the dreamnail at that point
@@northernstar39it's alot easier to dream nail false knight, he isn't even required, once you knock him down once you're able to break a wall in the arena to skip him

Anyone who is able to dream nail flukemarm should be paid money.
I think you're supposed to start a dream nail as you walk off the platform and that can legit get Flukemarm however I'll take the easy way there.
@@CrankyTemplar I didn't know you could do that actually, I've been playing Hollow Knoght for years and I still learn new things about it 😂.
I'm not 100% sure if that works but I'm guessing that's the only legit way to do it.

I love Hornet's voice, sounds a lot like Cellochicita's Undyne voice but leans into a bit of a Spanish accent and flair more. A powerful and confident warrior!
Hah False Knight is fitting, a blubbery Maggot shouting from within the armor.
Soul Master absolutely sounds like a wizard/scientist gone mad with power, and withered from age and misuse of it.
I think Ogrim's voice sounds a bit... _too_ regal, especially since even among the Five he was the least strict with the rules. So for his shouts I don't think it quite works, it should be more hearty, but for his more worried lines I think it's fine.
Gruz Mother just... has no right to be that gross and disturbing haha.
Vengefly is just Gruz Mother but angry.
I was not expecting how goddamn deep Brooding Mawlek's voice is. You can kinda hear it's at the edge of the VA's range, but I figure that wouldn't be as noticeable without the sound and music.
I absolutely love the shrieks from all the mini creatures making up the MMC.
Didn't expect Oblobbles to be that deep, but it kinda works, almost like a whale voice.
You know, honestly not sure how God Tamer and an ant in general would sound. Not sure if the raspy voice works, but there's still a good warrior intensity in there. Just didn't expect it to be so barbaric, but I guess they are a fool like the rest. And yeah the beast is fine not much to say.
Flukemarm is... gross, but not in the way I expected, so good job???
Crystal Guardian is another one I didn't expect to be so deep, I always interpreted them as more bratty.
Soul Warrior sounds like a scholar as well, but less far gone and elderly as Soul Master, def works.
Watcher Knights are weird cus like, do they even have voices? Pretty sure they're just the magic particles controlling the armor shells, so it could go any way. I guess the normal deep voice works.
Ooo Uumuu is cool as hell. Love the sort of robot effect it has, which makes sense considering how much of a scholar Monomon is and Uumuu is just a construct of hers. Also kinda fits for a big jellyfish.
I mean of course Traitor Lord would have a deep voice, but I like that there's a bit of an accent there, and he sounds really desperate, like a villain corrupted and swallowed by his own power.
Hive Knight kinda sounds like Golum lol but I can hear the attempt at a bee in there, it's decent.
Mantis Lords are neat, I like how each has a different voice but all hold a certain regality and strength. I like how the second one is a bit more sassy haha, the different voices give them each a bit of personality.
Holy crap the Collecter sounds incredibly unhinged an incredible performance.
Omg Zote's voice has that perfect tone of trying to be manly but still naturally having a pitchier voice, and the over-the-top accent is beautiful.
Grimm is the perfect combination of smoker and Tumblr sexyman, it's got a certain sinisterness to it that carries through the hoarse voice, they definitely understood the assignment with him haha.
You really put the silent bosses in lol.
Jeebus Marmu's voice is high- yeah sounds like a giddy royal child having fun, perfect. Even has a bit of the tone Marmu's canon cries have!
Markoth definitely has the tone of a battle-hardened, arrogant, and unsympathetic warrior.
No Eyes sounds pretty normal and unimpressive to me, but that little hints of insanity at the end as she calmly says such disturbing lines really began to pull me in. Creepy!
Hah, Galien almost has the voice I wanted for Dung Defender! Nice.
Gorb is so unhinged and goofy lol I love it.
Wasn't expecting Xero to have such a unique voice but I like it, makes me think of Meta Knight.
Elder Hu is good, expected him to sound older though.
Monomon only gets a few lines but I like how analytical and curious she sounds, questioning what needs to be done.
I mean, Lurien sounds like a high standing royal servant, so it fits.
Heh, like how Herrah has the same accent as Hornet but thicker. Neat voice for the beast of the den!
Of all the character to not have a really deep voice haha, yeah I dunno, Oro's voice doesn't really fit for me.
Same issue with Sheo. They sound way too young lol.
Sly is basically Yoda and it's perfect no question.
Goddamn Radiance's voice is powerful. Love how every line is seething with both hatred and desperation, after all she's probably more scared during this fight than you. Makes me think of Wonder Woman!
I'll give it 9/10. A few odd choices but for the most part it's all wonderful and definitely adds a nice auditory layer to the game, and would sound way more natural with the rest of the sound effects.

I could definitely imagine Danielle Bisutti voice acting The Radiance. The Radiance's voice acting here definitely feels like it would echo and scream loudly in your mind if you were afflicted with the Infection, making you want to cover your ears, but you can't because she's already controlling your mind.

All I ask, is for the Silksong version... use the OST in the background... idk about anyone else but the silence was unnerving and after a while it was hard to take the sudden reverb seriously. Eitherway, great vid, Hollow Knight lore is too fun.

While I did use debug mod for parts of this compilation, for non-ascended Collector the vengeflies stop chasing you after a while.

To me it's weirdly disappointing to find these strange intriguing creatures in their own little bug-microcosm, only then to hear them speak (think) more or less ordinary English (no offense to your language btw!). But seeing the enthusiastic reception of this mod, I guess I'm the exception and I'm happy it exists ^_^ Was it created with a particular target audience in mind?

And then there is whole debate if characters of hollow knight are even bug-sized. The only real measurement we got was some post by team cherry saying hornet can throw her needle 30 yards, so it seems that is giant insectoids. Good luck sleeping🗿
