    2nd video of the Campark V40 and this time a side by side comparison against the Akaso Brave 7LE. One major strong point of the Campark is that the audio is 10x better than the Akaso, while the Akaso has a bit of a wider FOV than the V40, I feel the EIS is slightly better in the V40 over the 7LE. Low light was hands down to the Akaso. Image quality, well there are more resolution/frame rate choices on the Akaso and the 1080@60 is MUCH better on the 7LE, the Campark has what I personally feel is a bit too much contrast in the image for my personal taste as it really crushes the blacks/shadows. Next video will be to see if I can do some color grading/correction on the Campark footage in 4K to get the best video image possible.

    Hi André. I found your videos really very, very useful and I'm grateful for your consumer advice. I have one request, however, to make them better. Sometimes the background music can be too loud and it drowns out your voice, so it's hard to hear you - especially for those of us with hearing disabilities. Obviously, what you're saying is more important to us viewers than the music. So I would ask if you'd keep that in mind when making your future videos. Please keep up the good work. Thank you.

    The audio was much, much better on the V40, but the low light was much better on the Brave 7. The brave 7 also had a wider view. I think the overall video quality looked better on the V40, especially where you filmed part of the pool. You could see much more detail in the water with the V40, than with the Brave 7. Cheap cameras may well not produce footage that is 4 times less good than the GoPro, but the real question has to be "Is the footage from the cheaper camera good enough?" What has put me off buying some of the cheaper cameras is that, although the price is very good, the footage simply isn't good enough for what I need it for.

Sounds like you came to a similar conclusion, but went for a different camera. For $199 the DJI Osmo Action with spare battery on Amazon has fewer compromises and simply hard to beat. Even you entered the house, the Campark flickered a lot on your blinds while the Akasa didn't. Is that because it was co.pressed on the screen or does it do that full screen?
    To me the Campark is much better at stabilization but despite the wider FOV, your face dimensions look more natural on the Akasa. I think for an Action cam I'd prefer a Campark but then, action usually takes place outside. Indoors, no comparison and I'd be running from the Campark. Another great video.

    • @WORTHITORNOT
      @WORTHITORNOT  4 года назад +2

      That flickering you see is the EIS "trying" to give a smooth video BUT if there is not enough light, then you get that wonky flickering in the clips. These action cameras are meant to be used outdoors in bright light to record action shots etc, but so many people want me to do a low light video then complain how bad they are in low light. I did a video showing exactly how small the sensors are in these camera's and yes, a large aperture lens ( in the case of these action cameras) like a 1.2 might help a bit to get better low light, most times even if they did offer a lens like that, the sensors ISO range/quality is still not there. The FOV on the Akaso is a more natural feel, but just wish it had the audio quality of this Campark.

    I was expecting more from Akaso. Their cameras have a decent EIS for the price. The problem is the video quality. 4k looks like 480p. Also instead of releasing new models which are basically the same they should concentrate improving the firmware. If they had better video quality with the current eis and sound they would have a go pro Killer. I would pay 200 $ for such camera as a back up for my DJI osmo action.
