Hi I would like to ask if is possible to buy any portuguese lesson Book + DVD, where is video archive or something like that, if I can buy it at bookshop...please let me know. thanks a lot
Oi, Nicolas, there are many rules for when and how to use the three subjunctive tenses. You need to study one tense at a time, and it needs lots of practice. It is worth the effort because it makes your Portuguese truly rich and beautiful :) I don't have videos about it on here. We do have amazing materials to learn the subjunctive in our program ;)
Why is the present subjunctive not used properly in Portuguese in order to give orders and requests? For example Sobe a escada rolante (Mostly used) Suba a escada rolante (seems correct but not used) I noticed that in the singular form, the grammatically incorrect conjugation is used more frequently but in the plural it's a different story Subam a escada rolante As you can see, "Sobem" will never be used in the plural form as the meaning completely changes the context of the sentence. it's quite interesting.
This is a great question, really. You are talking about the Imperative Mode, not the present subjunctive conjugation. They seem the same, but are not. In the Imperative mode (when you give a command, tip or advice), both "sobe" and "suba" are correct conjugations. I explain it in this lesson: ruclips.net/video/CNQ1ts3JC6E/видео.html Let me know if the lesson answered your question, por favor!
Thank you, you have simplified it very well. Helps a lot!
Again! Absolutely terrific lesson! I can really use this, seriously! Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge! I really appreciate it.

Eu gotaria de saber quando usar the subjunctive tense in portuguese

This is by far the most difficult part of learning Portuguese
And this is just the tip of the iceberg
Yes, it is challenging. But it is doable!

Sobe a escada rolante (Mostly used)
Suba a escada rolante (seems correct but not used)

Ohhh!!! It's the imperative, now it makes sense. Hahaha damn, now there's more conjugations to learn
@@EazyPeazyEnglish haha Do they ever end? ;)
