just started crying when my acupuncturist put a needle in my oblique, a place I've always freaked out if it's even lightly touched. always felt like I had to protect that part it was so ticklish. felt like I could laugh but ultimately felt like fear was stored there and cried. interesting how the sensation feels like it could go to laughter or crying, seems like opposite emotions but both somatic releases

That’s how I Interpret the event. Just happened to me for the 1st time, and I’ve been doing acupuncture for years! I loved it!

I've had the laughing. I always find any medical treatment funny, but with acupuncture, it takes a while to set in. Often I'll get some kind of funny static closed eye visual when the needles are in.

Acupuncture is pure classical

I always giggle during acupuncture, could be due to embarrassment cos I have about a 100 needles each time and they're painful!😅

I just had Accupunture an I felt so dizzy after an than started crying hysterically o couldn’t control it it was so strange I was balling like a baby I didn’t understand

I got serious PTSD flashbacks during the session. Wanted the needles OUT. But later in the session I cried. Found it very intense (intenser than EMDR 🥲)
