I highly recommend a Spanish brand Isdin! Their sunscreens are always up to date with the newest technology, quickly absorbed with a nice glowy finish. I buy mine online, there are no pharmacies near me who sell those amazing products❤️
You mentioned the Purito Green Level Sunscreen in a couple of videos. I tried that and it's become my holy grail sunscreen. My skin is stupidly sensitive and dry and that sunscreen is the only moisturizer I need (after putting on my hydrating toner) in the mornings.
Emily Rachel Gilley try the Purito Comfy Water sunscreen, it’s all mineral and slightly mattifying (without all the alcohol that most mattifying sunscreens have). I love both, but lean more towards the mineral one when I’m feeling a bit extra oily.
I’m so thrilled to see Altruist made the list! I use the spf 50 everyday for face and it has kept my rosacea outbreaks at bay. It’s perfect for my extremely sensitive skin. I’m so happy you reviewed the new green one. I was interested but seeing how dark it is, I’ll wait till summer when I can fake a tan better. Thanks!
Does it burn your eyes? And does leave a white cas ? Because some people say it's black skin friendly and others say it leaves a white cast so I'm confused
There are a countless amount of oily skin videos and info everywhere. And a fraction of videos on dry skin. You can easily find research on your skin issues.
@@kimberlycouture2373 I mean ,most sunscreen aren’t the best for oily skin cuz sunscreen is usually so greasy , specially if it’s a higher spf . And they break out oily skin . So of course oily skin people are often in the look out for a good sunscreen and there’s many videos on it .
I highly reccomend from Amazon the brand blue lizard. It's a mineral sunscreen, coral reef safe and has hyaluronic acid in it so its hydrating. The best part is its affordable and non greasy, more of a gel consistancy. I got mine from amazon for 12.99! But if you dont mind spending a little more and have super dry skin then go for la Roche Posey. There is a reason they are a best seller when it comes to sunscreen. I work overnights so I usually sont leave my house until I have to work so I never see the sun. But if i go out before work I always wear sunscreen.
I plan on buying one to try out, does it leave a very noticeable white cast and is it shiny? I assume it is non nano zinc (which is a plus) since it's reef safe.
Yeah I guess, I heard mineral sunscreen isn't super good for dry skin, I used blue lizard and it dried my skin alot, so I guess I have to look for more chemical sunscreens with moisturizer:))
The klairs sunscreen has orange oil in it. I wouldn't consider it safe to use for my eczemic skin. Might work for people with mildly sensitive skin. The Purito unscented one doesn't sting my skin. I would recommend Purito over Klairs.
After Wishtrend collab, Klairs sunscreen is a staple now, for myself and my husband, so thank you Renee :-) In winter, I also love Biore's Kids (Japan) and Uriage BARIÉSUN SPF50+ the fragrance-free version (French pharma brand), neither of them are popular, especially Uriage, for some reason they are not as popular as Avene or La Roche, but the same concept with thermal water and a must-try for winter dry skin!
Peony Peony I just tried ordering the Evy on Face the Future but got an error message...that they don’t delivery to my address “items in your cart may not ship outside UK”
I tried all kinds of sunscreens until I found Evy. Not only amazing, hydrating yet not sticky, absolutely no cast, perfect make up base and so kind to my skin - the bottle lasts sooo much longer (oh yes, with the right dosage) than creams.
hi christine, just wandering, how do you know hou much of the mousse to apply in order to get the full protection? Im really curious about evy but Im not sure it would be as easy to find the "dose" with something that is not a liquid since Im so used to creams!
I have dry+dehydrated skin + occasional dermatitis and have had a hard time finding a sunscreen that doesn't irritate and dry my skin. I received a sample from Dermstore of the La Roche-Posay Toleriane SPF30 last month. It is so hydrating, doesn't leave any white-cast, blends easily, sits nicely on moisturizer, works well under makeup and doesn't have an overwhelming chemical smell. I got a full-size right away (very economically priced btw) and have been very satisfied with it. I strongly recommend!
I have the La Roche Posay one and it burns around the eyes!!! just fyi, i personally won’t recommend it for sensitive skinned people. idk maybe my skin is just sensitive 🤷🏾♀️
tell me about it! i have also used Avene spf 30 hydrating cream, it doesn't sting the eyes, but it leaves a white cast and the skin feels a bit weird, it protects very well though. Now I am looking or some sunscreen for my super sensitive dry skin and I'm afraid I will waste my money again. Have you tried the Altruist one? Which one are you using?
Altruist spf 50 is my favorite! It’s so moisturizing and surprisingly soothing to my skin. It’s incredibly affordable to on Amazon.co.uk. I have also used this la Roche Posay Double Repair UV and really like it! It is such a wonderful texture and so soothing on the skin for an SPF. I don’t use it like a moisturizer though. I treat it like an SPF so I still apply the regular double repair ( my favorite moisturizer!) on damp skin, let dry, then apply the spf.
I’d love to try it! Do you use the beige packaging one or the blue one? I can’t decide which one to go for haha. Also, do you get any pilling or crumbling from it?
Does it feel sticky to the touch and does it burn the eyes? I have used Klairs and loved the consistency, but it isn't hydrating enough to be used as a primer, since my skin is pretty dry and sometimes flaky
Renee, I love your videos and more than anything I always appreciate when you mention what you think the effect of sunscreens will do to darker skin. This helps some of us decide.
The new Altruist is very finicky to use. I find the only way I can get it to work is applying it with a small blending brush, working in small sections...otherwise it pills and grabs onto it self or my fingers. The color is very dark, it makes me look tan, which at this time of the year in the UK looks like I have been to a spray tan (not my vibe). It does set to a more matte finish then the original, it does tone down redness...I really wish they left the green/tan color out. One last thing, I only reach for it when I have lots of time in the morning. It takes 3x’s as long to apply this. The original is better.
Love the Evy, so easy to use and it doesn't break me out! I have used it on two recent holidays without any of the problems I have had with regular sunscreens. I also use a light Paula's Choice moisturiser on this after it has dried.
I appreciate you doing this video! I have tried so many [most mineral] sunscreens only to find they leave my skin feeling parched. Looking forward to trying some of these!
I was really interested in the new Altruist sunscreen, it sounded great for those of us suffering from rosacea... But that tint is not adequate if you have pale skin. :(
do you have a recommendation for dry lip sunscreen? Or just a lip balm? And it is not that necessary a sunscreen in lips? Hugs 🤗! Sooo happy when you upload videos!!
for moisturizing I love ecolips mongo kiss. it's cheap and simple but my forever holy grail. for sunscreen I use blistex. not too happy with it, but don't have another better one.
Hi! just a request for future/all sunscreen videos. Can you mention the cast? you had I think in the vid from 2018. Would be helpful, med-dark skin tone here. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I can't thank you enough for such an informative video! I am IN LOVE with your channel.💓 I did wonder which of these you would recommend for dry, acne-prone, rosacea skin...talk about a fun trio!😅😂 I was recently diagnosed with rosacea and am trying to find the best sunscreen possible. Thanks in advance!
Hello! What are your thoughts about HEV protection cream? Which brands protect us from all UVA/UVB/HEV? Would you recommend reapplyling HEV protection cream after your night routine (because there is still 2 more hours of computer/phone usage at night)? I really love the way you explain each product. Very informative!
Love your videos! They are so relaxing to watch. I doubt I'm the only one, but, I'd love to see a video on packing skincare for travel. Do you take it all? Travel sizes? Carry on or check? Long haul flight tips? Just a suggestion. 🥰
Thank you for another great video with helpful reviews! Have you tried Murad’s City Skin Age Defense? It’s one of my faves because it is so cosmetically elegant and soothing.
I live in Denmark. Evy is a Swedish brand , so it's easily available here. Evy is the most beautiful, elegant, skin loving , eyes and lips loving, long lasting and perfect sunscreen. That's the only sunsreen I apply on my face with spf 50 with collagen. The most excellant texture. I apply it indoors as well as outdoors. And I am never switching it with any other sunscreen. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Have tried a tons of them. They all make me look as if I have just come out of an oil drum. Very hard to apply the recommended amount and reapplication is such a pain with other sunscreens. I do wantbto use tarte powder spf to touch it up but it's not available anywhere in Europe. 🙄
Amrita Arya I tried the face one in the beige canister, and it stings my eyes. 😔 I’ll try the spf 50 one and see if that’s better. How do you reapply it if you do? It would be so great to find a good sunscreen I can just buy in the normal shops (I live in Sweden), instead of having to order them from Korea.
I love your video and I am so proud of myself for choosing LaRoche Posay and Altruist...they are fantastic and great prices....also love Missha for its tinted spf moisturiser.
Hi Renee, great spf tutorial/video. I also have dry; dehydrated skin and on the hunt for great moisturizing yet non greasy spf. This tutorial really helped me. Going to purchase a couple of them and give them a try. I have been subscribed to your channel since last of last year, yet get no notifications of your new videos and I have the notification on. Any suggestions re: this problem?
Renee, you are amazing as always! I hv learned so much from watching your videos. Could you do a video about sunscreens that look great on the skin and are coral reef-safe at the same time?
Combo skin is always difficult because it can lean on dry or oily side. Better to decide if you want more moisture or if you want a dry touch, matte finish. The LRP and Anessa are great for combo skin as they tend to be on the lighter side!
Help! I don’t think of myself as having sensitive skin but I have yet to find a sunscreen which does not cause a breakout out of many, many, small and painful whiteheads across my chin. What am I doing wrong??? Any suggestions for a product which would help? Thank you for the focused, clear advice in this video.
Lovely video as always Renee. It has been very informative and helpful. Would you consider making a video of your favorite and highest UVA/UVF protection sunscreen? I would really love to know your choices. Thank you!
LaRochePosayUSA why does the toleriane double repair (with and without spf 30) not exist in Europe? Or does it have another name? I would like to try it...
@@corinnak.4875 Renée is right, it's a US specific product, that was developed looking at our community needs. Europe does have a few products we don't have as well for example. Thanks for supporting the brand!
Another suggestion - Skinceuticals SPF. Usually SPF’s tend to ball up under my make up regardless what concealer I am using. My skin is as dry as the Sahara Desert lol! Skinceuticals is the ONLY sunscreen that does not flake off, with UVA and B, doesn’t flash back too much, on top of all - light and not sticky. I could rave all day about it
Renee, could you please address the recent issues with the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence. I have it and love it, but am afraid to use it anymore for fear that it isn't giving me adequate protection. Is it still good to use, or should I switch to something else?
I have normal to oily sensitive and dehydrated skin and the Klairs was not too moisturizing for me. The texture is light. But as others below request, I would love to see your recommendations for oily skin. In NYC winters Purito is fine but I took it to Florida (hot and humid like NYC summer) and it made me break out.
Hope you will do a very budget dry/dehydrated sun-damaged flaky skin video 😍
Agreed
Renee, we would all love a closet based video!!! I think you have such an elegant, minimal, chic look. GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!!!!!! ❤️

I could rave all day about it
hotpink000 i think it has an alchocol in it- not so good for dry skin
The Skinceuticals that I think works well for dry skin is the Physical UV fusion which contains no alcohol - all mineral!
Gothamista thanks
Great video. BTW, love your lipstick. What brand & color?
Check her description box - she lists it.
this was amazing Renee thank you!
Renee what do you think of the la roche posay hydraphase intense uv legere spf 20? Please answer 🥰
