I'd like to include Demi Moore for Best Actress in 'The Substance.' I haven't seen the film, but it would be cool to see Demi get her first Oscar nomination.
Im rooting for Wicked to be the surprise Awards Dominator that at last minute wins Best Picture. Its been looking incredible from every new trailer, and its the only movie that Genuenly has grabbed my attention for reasons that aren't "just the sake of watching a new movie"
Yup Amy but Marianne Demi Angelina even Pam wow could be up there and Megalopolis might even get best picture nod for being unique and innovative that no one can even describe what it is.
Do you think Irene Taylor's "I am Celine Dion" could be in the documentary category? It seemed that created a lot of hype and it has 100% from both critics and audience on rotten tomatoes.
I'm really rooting for Amy Adams and Nightbitch. I don't think it would win BP but I do hope it gets nominated. That's just on having high hopes for the film with loving the book!
I'm still rooting for kinds of kindness becoming nominated within some categories especially best picture I mean I feel like the Academy really likes yorgos films a lot slowly coming up since the lobster. I still have it in my top 10, but I doubt it's gonna have any nominations.
Mikey Madison wins Best Actress and Colman Domingo wins Best Actor, also why is no one mentioning Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield? They are likely both getting nominated for best main actor and main actress
I hope Sing Sing does not win best picture. Other than the prisoner narrative, there is no reason for it to win. After seeing it, it is not a great movie. Very weird, hard to understand motivations. Personally, I am still looking for a movie to root for.
Not sure why everyone has Sing Sing in first place at this point but the film is very average and gets repetitive in the third act. I agree with you it might only be a Independent Spirit Awards film.

I think Alien Romulus is also a good option for Sound and Visual effects
Dune PT 2 deserves best picture, however it being a sequel and the ending will prevent it from happening....Lord of the rings the towers kind of thing
It does not. Personally, Dune PT 2 is the most overhyped movie of 2024.
Would love to see both Amy Adams and Ronan to win an Oscar the same year. That would be a dream Oscars!
Apple is pushing Blitz. Queer has no distribution yet. SPC is probably pushing I’m Still Here.
I think you’re closer than the general consensus is at the moment 👍
BP: Sing Sing
BD: Denis Villeneuve (Dune: Part II)
Actor: Ralph Fiennes (Conclave)
Actress: Amy Adams (Nightbitch)

Supporting Actress: Saoirse Ronan (Blitz)
Original Screenplay: Sean Baker (Anora)
Adapted Screenplay: Clint Bentley & Greg Kwedar (Sing Sing)
