This was an amazing detailed analysis so far on Neurosurgeon's salary in India. Thank you so much Sir. Everything is now crystal clear.
Thanks Surya. Glad that you have found it extremely helpful. ✌🏼✌🏼
@@drarijit You're welcome sir😄
I thought starting with 5lakh 😶
Anatomy from Dr. Azam?
Right bro
After mbbs you can't do residency in neurosurgery directly, you've to Crack NEET PG to get into General Surgery residency, after 3years of Junior residency and 3yeads more of senior residency (bond posting) you've to Crack NEET SS to get into Neurosurgery and have to do residency for another 3 years. Then, you become a Neurosurgeon. :)
That's partially true. Although the commonest route to Neurosurgery is a General Surgery PG followed by a Neurosurgery SuperSpeciality. There are direct 5 year DNB Neurosurgery programs that you can match into after NEET PG. There are also direct 5 year MCH Neurosurgery program at AIIMS and NIMHANS too, via the INICET.
Bro mean
5 years MBBS
3 years
3 years.
3 years
5+3+3+3= 14 years
Dear friend there is direct 6 year mch course in aiims Delhi and NIMHANS after Mbbs. Please read the prospectus
Direct MCh Candidates are rare but tough people.
DNB neurosurgery 6 yr course......
Getting into medicine for money will bring only sorrows,,as a mbbs student sometimes I regret for choosing this profession,,because it will take my life but I think serving a society is the noblest of all Services,,and that keeps me motivated.
money
Get into the field of medicine only if you are passionate about the field,
Trust me you will regret if you are in this for the money 💵
After working so hard day in and night for more than 10 years the amount of money that you will make is the same as you will make as a MBA grad from a good B school like IIMs etc. The only difference is that you are probably in your 35 - 40s age and while others will be enjoying their money and success early in their 20s. Then you will be heart broken.
Double the stress and anxiety if ur an emergency physician working in india

This is not true for all doctors.
My father is himself a doctor (ophthalmologist) in a government hospital and his duty is from 9am-2 pm everyday (mostly holidays on every sunday & other gazetted holidays)..only some days his duty gets extended and that too gets extended for maximum 2 hrs.
And he earns a good salary of 1.7 lakhs/month with extra benefits.
@@drmitchell7623 yeah... I too thought soo.... Finally someone who is telling truth... The thing is yes I wanna be a doctor n I love bio n love to help n treat people but duh if I hv studied sm for yrs I would want to earn good money
I think in neurosergery the decision making matters a lot.... great explanation I like the way you explain 👍🏻
I'm neet aspirant and my father is 45yr old nd well renowned neurosurgeon in delhi... By my observation it's clear to me that doctors(pg nd above) are too wealthy but at the same my father works atleast 11-16 hrs daily... It is work for me but he says he never gets to know when he woke up and it's been 16 hrs since he's working.... Which needs dedication and interest in books in initial days...I said doctors are wealthy coz I've seen bags of money rescued from our house during that 500 1000 rupee notes banned... 😂
Yea I too experienced the same😅
edit: 16years (not hrs)

sir.. literally speaking nuerosurgeons are making a large deal of money by taking high risks...but the truth is they are not able to enjoy thier wealth it at its most. but the main thing that I love in this profession is that it is the journey of a man from ordinary to superhero .it makes someone a superhero.it is a honour that is not available to everyone.the almighty had shaped people like your hands to save critically dangered human lives.with my long term aspiration towards this job. salary is just a physical compensation for our work.this cannot be done if you practise it for the sake of salary. It requires a large deal of precision and time..and it is absolutely hard to get established too..that is what it makes this a great and noble profession.
if you have money you can do anything
-Andrew tate
From my aspect of view it is the most motivating video of my life to study hard.
If you enter in medical field with a aim that you will start earning money at your 22 or 23 than you might be wrong . Same goes for iit and iim if you are aiming iit and iim with a dream that after your graduation Jeff sir , Elon sir will directly approach you and you will get 2-3 cr package than you are also wrong . It is a universal fact that salary of IITians is initially more than doctor. Average would be around 1 to 1.5 lakh while junior resident in medical field will earn 70 to 100k depending upon state and institution . In both the scenario at the end you will earn money on the basis of your skill . So try to develop skills and don't focus much on salary.
So if you considering cracking neet in the very first attempt then also account for iit students cracking jee in their first attempt. So by that calculation they start earning at the age of 20. A direct 3 year boost
Yaar mera dentist hi 9 lakh Tak kamata hai mahine ka wo bhi main city se koso door to nuero surgeon to pata ni kitna kamaate honge 🙄

Why is there no website for doctors salary like software developers and other engineers?
A proper website could help doctors to negotiate better and have deserving salaries. In Tech, salary range from 20% of the revenue generated by each engineer.
your voice is so sooothing!!
Very informative video.. thank you sir
Sound of Background music is too high.
Hatts of to the dedication and perseverance for becoming neurosurgeon

How did it go @rion8090
Update?
It'll be very useful if you do salaries of other specialities too!
Doctor, U r a Bengali Brahmin and became a neurosurgeon! Extremely glad to hear it. I was very tensed at the fact of caste related problems and thought higher caste has less opportunity to achieve their goal....
U are correct
100% correct
This is a big problem for society that top brain is not getting opportunities due to 3rd class reservations system
You are correct but thing is that if a dalit asked you a cup of tea then you give him a worst and dirty one instead of utensils that you are using not only this but also Brahmin is formed that only educated people are classified in that group but yet all chapris and all persons like your proudly say I'm brahman and when the things come in reservation for backward group that need it you started acting as ews and taking sympathy in it 😂😂😂😂 caste per proud and exam or reservation wakt mei chahte ho ac ka hawa bhi khaye and reservation bhi le sudhro kamino and padho
sir thank you for sharing this information..and indeed the determination and intention behind becoming a neurosurgeon will only take us to grt heights like u said...thank you sir
sir..can u pls make a video on ...things to do after residency completion.(fellowship or other options).i m a neet aspirant..and ur videos inspire me a lot😊🙏
Thank you 😀. Sure, will make a video on that ✌🏼
Get into Medicine only if it is your passion. There is not much money in Medicine unless you get into business aspects of running your own practice and you become well-known as one of the best and cater to celebrities and rich people only. There are many kids nowadays in their 20s who are rich and make a lot more doing start ups, some did not even go to college.
startups comes with a lot of risk..................
@@shinchannohara2924 True. If creators of RUclips did not take the risk, we won't be on it now sharing comments and ideas. Not all risk-takers succeed but without risk-takers, we would still be in the dark ages.

i really dont know why i am watching this video, im a software engineer. best of luck brother, you guys are backbone of our society.
To all those thinking of neurosurgery as a profession due to high salaries understand only the cream of cream doctors will get in and it is so hectic and you need skills neurosurgeon is not a everyones cup of tea:)
They should consider field in which they are more interested in during MBBS. It's not a piece of cake being Neurosurgeon is like the most hardest surgeon.

my uncle joined merchant navy when he was 19 and now he is around 41 and he left his job now.... he owns a villa in palm jumairah, Dubai costing around 209 crores and has networth close to $500 million cause throught his life he was earning extremly high and invest it.... when he was 22 his salary was around 4 lakhs a month and when he became captain at the age of 32 he was earning 25-40 lakhs a month...
Lying.
To become captain will take 35+ and salary ranges from 8 lakhs to 16 lakhs per month. Plus you can make under the table income by getting kickbacks and commissions . Illegal smuggling is above that.
After school you join college for training it's like 3 years .
Merchant navy has a lot of black money.

My friend's father in the United States practices as a neurosurgeon in Dallas. Its his own practice and he earns about 700,000 dollars per annum on a good working year. It's a good job but only if you like it. If you go in for the money I hear it's literal hell. Long working hours , frequent checks , licensing , constant studying to keep up , always striving to be the best. In fact what they get paid is meagre compared to how knowledgeable they are.
But u r talking about America, in India it's no where near this , unless u start your own practice which is also not a piece of cake due to competition
Do anyone earn more than your freind father .. If he she is in mba course
@@richa5709 you can earn this much only if you have a good multi-speciality hospital and there isnt much competition in you area
