    After mbbs you can't do residency in neurosurgery directly, you've to Crack NEET PG to get into General Surgery residency, after 3years of Junior residency and 3yeads more of senior residency (bond posting) you've to Crack NEET SS to get into Neurosurgery and have to do residency for another 3 years. Then, you become a Neurosurgeon. :)

    • @ashutoshsharmash
      @ashutoshsharmash 2 года назад +47

      That's partially true. Although the commonest route to Neurosurgery is a General Surgery PG followed by a Neurosurgery SuperSpeciality. There are direct 5 year DNB Neurosurgery programs that you can match into after NEET PG. There are also direct 5 year MCH Neurosurgery program at AIIMS and NIMHANS too, via the INICET.

    Get into the field of medicine only if you are passionate about the field,
    Trust me you will regret if you are in this for the money 💵
    After working so hard day in and night for more than 10 years the amount of money that you will make is the same as you will make as a MBA grad from a good B school like IIMs etc. The only difference is that you are probably in your 35 - 40s age and while others will be enjoying their money and success early in their 20s. Then you will be heart broken.

    I'm neet aspirant and my father is 45yr old nd well renowned neurosurgeon in delhi... By my observation it's clear to me that doctors(pg nd above) are too wealthy but at the same my father works atleast 11-16 hrs daily... It is work for me but he says he never gets to know when he woke up and it's been 16 hrs since he's working.... Which needs dedication and interest in books in initial days...I said doctors are wealthy coz I've seen bags of money rescued from our house during that 500 1000 rupee notes banned... 😂

    sir.. literally speaking nuerosurgeons are making a large deal of money by taking high risks...but the truth is they are not able to enjoy thier wealth it at its most. but the main thing that I love in this profession is that it is the journey of a man from ordinary to superhero .it makes someone a superhero.it is a honour that is not available to everyone.the almighty had shaped people like your hands to save critically dangered human lives.with my long term aspiration towards this job. salary is just a physical compensation for our work.this cannot be done if you practise it for the sake of salary.It requires a large deal of precision and time..and it is absolutely hard to get established too..that is what it makes this a great and noble profession.

    If you enter in medical field with a aim that you will start earning money at your 22 or 23 than you might be wrong . Same goes for iit and iim if you are aiming iit and iim with a dream that after your graduation Jeff sir , Elon sir will directly approach you and you will get 2-3 cr package than you are also wrong . It is a universal fact that salary of IITians is initially more than doctor. Average would be around 1 to 1.5 lakh while junior resident in medical field will earn 70 to 100k depending upon state and institution . In both the scenario at the end you will earn money on the basis of your skill . So try to develop skills and don't focus much on salary.

    • @DrAbhiJeet
      @DrAbhiJeet 2 года назад +2

      So if you considering cracking neet in the very first attempt then also account for iit students cracking jee in their first attempt. So by that calculation they start earning at the age of 20. A direct 3 year boost

There is not much money in Medicine unless you get into business aspects of running your own practice and you become well-known as one of the best and cater to celebrities and rich people only. Earning is good
    Only consultaion specialty like general medicine endocrine income will be limited

    My friend's father in the United States practices as a neurosurgeon in Dallas. Its his own practice and he earns about 700,000 dollars per annum on a good working year. It's a good job but only if you like it. If you go in for the money I hear it's literal hell. Long working hours , frequent checks , licensing , constant studying to keep up , always striving to be the best. In fact what they get paid is meagre compared to how knowledgeable they are.
