    I love seeing other people’s routines. Especially when they use multiple products. I keep feeling pressured to slim down my routine (which was true, at one point) but my skin likes what I’m using and I like having multiple steps (anywhere between 6-10, depending on the routine) 😍

    • @DebbieDooo
      @DebbieDooo 2 года назад +1

      @Liz Barrand Can you list your routine in order? I want to compare it to what I am doing, which sometimes seems excessive. Thanks

    • @SincerelyMissAsh

      I like having a multiple step routine as well. I don't feel like anyone should be judged or feel pressured to slim down or add more to their personal routines. Do whatever works and most importantly have fun with it 🤗

    I had such high expectations for the 'Survival' serum, based on both the amazing ingredients and the excellent reviews. I first tried the SPF30 version and I hated the 'orange tint' that it left on my face. Then went on to the 'Survival 0' which left me even more orange looking! Ascorbic Acid does the same if I use it more than two days in a row. I guess it's a matter of preference, I personally don't like the 'oompa loompa ' look.

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  2 года назад

      Yeah the Oompa Loompa look is not the cutest look.. Not all products will work and you're right it is a matter of preference. Perhaps you will like the Resveratrol + Ferulic instead 💁🏼‍♀️

  • @hirry.p
    @hirry.p 2 года назад +6

    That is a lot of layers- your skin probably isn’t absorbing beyond the first couple serums.
    The Deciem CEO has stated 3 layers max advised.

    • @elizabethboin1735
      @elizabethboin1735 2 года назад +3

      You’re absolutely correct I have been told by many dermatologist and scientists after two serums your skin is very unlikely to be able to absorb anything

      Honestly, I don't feel like it was a lot. I like using multiple products and find they work for me. Everyone has their own opinion and preference with how many products should be used in a routine. I do what works🤗

    I love how you explain them! My routine has been pilling so I’m desperate to figure out why / what I need to change! I’ve noticed my skin changing from oily to normal/day and I feel like that warrants new products, right?😂 I have redness, but nothing crazy. Mostly struggle with acne scars and hyperpigmentation on my cheeks and I don’t know how to treat it! I’m going to stalk your videos and see if you’ve already answered any of these but I appreciate ALL of your insight!!! Skin care is so confusing😩

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  2 года назад +2

      Aw thank you!!!
      Honestly, pilling can be caused by many things... Examples: using too many products in a skincare routine, not allowing your products to absorb before applying the next, using Hyaluronic Acid or Niacinamide can also cause pilling (from my experience), not exfoliating on a regular basis (weekly) and sometimes our sunscreens can be an issue as well, silicone based products can cause pilling and if you are using a lot of oil based skincare or makeup but you are also using a lot of "water" based products along with it this can also cause pilling.. 🥴🥴 It's trial and error!!

    Hi Fellow Torontonian!
    Once again..Bravo!
    LOVE when you share your new routines.
    I literally buy everything you suggest as everything is completely on point and true to word!
    The only question I have for this routine is that you didn’t use an eye treatment or serum. Is that not necessary given the products you used today?
    Also..I’m obsessed with The Ordinary ‘Argireline’, ‘Pycnogenol’ and Alpha Arbutrin serums. Are they serums I can still incorporate or will they offset other products?
    Lol.. you’ve kinda made me into a serial skincare junky!
    Thanks for all your knowledge and videos. Never Stop!

    • @annfinewax
      @annfinewax 2 года назад

      One more thing..because I also live in Toronto and our weather sucks..using sunscreen is important but not super top of my list. Is there any sunscreen somewhat comparable to the Dr. Gross but more cost effective? I’d rather invest in my skincare and buy a cheaper sunscreen since we literally get 2 good months of weather.

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  2 года назад

      Aw thank you so much 🥰 love that I turned you into a skincare junkie ahaha..
      I didn't use an eye serum in this video because I am placing everything under my eyes which is treating the skin. I used to use a separate vitamin c eye serum but I haven't been using it since my skin tolerates to regular vitamin c well under and around the eye area but I do use an eye serum in my evening routine which you will see (video now uploaded).
      Argireline (peptides) paired with vitamin c could be a harsh pairing for some. I usually recommend to keep the peptides at night especially if you use vitamin c in the am. Arbutin/Pycnogenol would be ok to use with Vitamin c.
      As for sunscreen, this should be worn on a daily basis even during our dreadful Canadian winters so investing in a good sunscreen that works well with your other products is definitely recommended. You may like the Paulas Choice Super Light Wrinkle Defense. It also contains antioxidants..

    Hello! I would appreciate very much if you could provide me with an insight on this issue. My boyfriend is finally taking care of his face. However, he does not want too many products. I recommended for his combo skin with forehead wrinkles the following: Paula's Choice Invisible Finish Gel as a moisturizer (has HA and Niacinamide), La Roche Posay Pure Vitamin C 10% (because it has SA as well) and Garnier Ambre Solaire SPF 50 fluid. And for his PM routine, same moisturizer + Geek & Gorgeous A Game 1.0 (it has retinal 1.0%). What do you think? Also what cleanser should he use? He is suuuper hard to convince to use a cleanser... I want to suggest something that would be like a 2 in 1 to avoid double cleansing because he will not use it. You know... men... wanting 7 in 1 products. Thanks!

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  2 года назад

      I think those routines are amazing especially for his skin type... As for a cleanser, I would suggest the Cerave Cream-Foam Cleanser. This is great to remove sunscreen and of course for a double cleanse. It's moisturizing but it also has a great lather to remove dirt/oil etc..
