- Today I share a product that has made my life just a little bit better. I needed a way to mount my security cameras to my newly installed vinyl siding without drilling any holes and these clips fit the bill.

I recently purchased these clips for my Ring Stickup Camera...works great!!!
Crazy how soemthing so simple can be so helpful
Thank you for this comment. This is exactly what I'm looking for! I have hardie plank siding and will install Ring Stickup Cameras to them! Thank you so much!!
I’m trying to do this :) what size screw did you use? Or even what nut?
Having issues with screw that came with hook is not going through ring stickup camera back plate. Any help will be appreciated.
@@PavanSibal I hung mine up yesterday I took a drill bit and manually made the screw holes a little bit bigger
Thank you! I didn’t know these exist. I only found your video by looking up how to hang up my mailbox
It was the same with me I needed a way to hang some of my wife’s decor and found them searching Amazon
Great idea, but I can't see these keeping the camera in place during storm conditions, and very windy days.
Hey thanks for commenting so the crazy thing is the cameras are all still up there theses years later it surprised the heck out of me. I had one slip out in the first few days I’m guessing I didn’t have it fully in but since not issues at all
@TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP Thank you for answering! That was my only question. I'm going to Lowe's today.
Thanks for the video. Exactly what I was looking for. Only problem is the link you provided is not the same clips in your video. The link you posted doesn’t have holes to mount the camera. Just fyi.
The clips in your video have threaded holes, but the clips you linked to do not. Can you provide info on the clips you used in the video? Thanks - looking to use these on concrete fiberboard siding (Hardee board).
I hate it when that happens when I originally linked the product they were exactly what I used I’ll dig around tonight and see if I can find another product that has the exact same thread hole now.
Is it secure for during windy days and storms?
Yes I had great luck with them. My security cameras have been up for a year now. The only issue I had was my wife had Halloween banners about 12” wide and 60” long of the wind blew them all the way up they woudl come out
Thanks Tim!
Thanks for watching
It’s now different hooks if I go through the link. Could you please help find those again ?

Good job on the video.
I just found your channel it’s so helpful!!!!
Welcome to the workshop
Brilliant! Thank you!!
No problem
Just picked these up but haven’t used them yet.. how have these held up long term? Do you find any issues using only top screw holes ?
Nothing serious I had one that the threads were crooked but they work great for holding my security camera
Would these work on aluminum siding? I’m assuming so.
As long as you can slide it up into the gap between the pieces you should be good I’m guessing
How about severe weather? Im worried ill loose my cameras or solar panels.
So I have yet to have one fall down I live on the prairies in Canada so the winds don’t get hurricane strength that often we did have a couple of plow wins come through which a really bad and they didn’t bother the cameras at all so I can’t say depending on the direction or whatever but I’ve had good luck so far
Not sure how it’s working for you guys, the ones I have are not staying. With a slight pull down to test, they come out. Not sure how will it hold the security camera?
Ive had them holding up my security cameras since i put vinyl siding on my house about 18 months ago. if I really pull on them I could pull them out but they have held up great all along
what about the wire lol. i have a 2k sq foot house and i ran wires all the way around my house into the same wall. thats a few hundred feet of wire i takced to the wood of my house. i might get vinyl siding now and i did this on a previous house and it always sagged
looks neat but don't think it would work with a circular camera mount
So I have a bunch of cameras mounted with them the bases are rounded squares that have four holes for screws I used two clips for two of the holes and they worked perfectly been up there over a year now
My Plan is to make a simple plate, wider than the circular mount, mount the circular mount to the plate, and the plate to the mounts and hang it. One of the Amazon purchasers shows their Ring camera with the circular mount using these.
The linked products don't have a screw hole.
Did you drill a screw hole?
So Amazon keeps changing the product but keeping the same link. I’ll have to look for another one with screws. They even sent me some of each on a couple of different orders
Where to buy these from
Amazon amzn.to/3BNWIGz
@@TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP These clips do not look like you can screw into them. They look like just hooks.
@@ScottOHC Amazon keep switching the products that they have associated with those skews. I don’t know what to do. The ones that I used to have a little screwing them and they worked great. I’ll see if I can find an updated affiliate link for the proper product again.
