i just got back from an event at our local Harley dealership here and damn, it's like a big, glossy candy store man! they're some nice machines for sure😊
Here in Livonia Michigan the Indian dealer had the semi full of bikes to ride. The FTR was fast and fun but not my style. I actually liked the Scout 101 better. It’s a comfort thing.
If you've never ridden a Harley XR 1200 X I would suggest you give one a try if you get a chance funnest motorcycle I've ever ridden it's very similar to the ftr
I would love an Indian FTR, but the problem is maintenance. They can only be repaired at an Indian dealer, not many where I live in France. Spare parts take weeks to arrive. A guy with an Indian Scout told me that they are expensive to maintain. I ride a Honda cbf600. I do most of the maintenance myself. little workshops know how to fix them and can order spare parts. You find honda dealers everywhere. Second-hand spare parts can be found.
still regret selling my Carbon R to have the girlfriend be able to ride with me ... compromises you make right ... loved it, such a hooligan !! had mine Tuned by Lloydz garage too !
@@logangodofcandy well for health and physical reasons she cant ... but 3 months later she decided to get a Can-Am so theres that ... /facepalm :D i settled for a Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro so i'm having a good compromise on fun and comfort in my opinion ... love the triple !
Ive heard all FTRs have pretty bad fuel maps and have some odd throttle feel, particularly for the first gen FTR. Did they fix this for the 2024 model? Thanks!
I've always been into sport bikes and racing and all that, never a big Harley guy until my buddy got one and i started riding to a couple Harley events at the dealership and checking out the bikes... and omfg they're some beautiful bikes... not so beautiful prices lol, but there's definitely some quality pieces... never pictured myself on a Custom Street Glide st with a state 4 tune but I'm seriously thinking about it! 😊😂❤
There are right and wrong ways to shape things. You can shape a burger with your hands or by smashing. You can shape poo the way God intended, or you can also use your hands. As you can see, shaping with your hands is not good.
I ride a 2000 Victory Sport Cruiser , stage 4 motor ( all machine work ) 2003 complete transmission , check the specs , can’t afford an FTR , can handle a little extra weigh, but love to corner to the extremes ! Check one out , mine has pegs raised 1 inch , forward 2 inches , reverse gear pattern , taken a gear mid corner , Go Victory ! 24 years , still looking for 6th gear ? Dipped in Burgundy Kandy paint with thin ghost flames , even painted the rims & rotors to match , 112 hp, 118 ftlbs of torque , on the Dyno , 13.2 to 1 compression , wanna race through the twisties ? Going straight is boring
You can get the bike on a little diet and get it under 500 easily by removing things like the big mufflers, heavy license plate pipe things, and switching battery to a NOCO lithium or something like that.
Beautiful, doesn't even look American - take no offence, I mean not all about the baroque looks, useless Chrome etc. How much does it weigh? How high the seat from the road? How big the tank? 100 km with half a tank doesn't sound a lot. Did you test it with a pillion? Comfortable for two?
Besides the limited run I don't see the $4,000 value over the standard ftr because the carbon the the tank is a cover u only save 8ilb overall between bikes idk
A lot of it is in the suspension. Onlins front and rear are only in the upper trim levels and a lot of owners have said it make a big difference over the Sachs. The limited colorway adds a little but I got my Carbon R for $3,500 off since it was a model holdover. The 2023 version is the best looking IMO
Dude, I am not normally rude, but you need to focus on the bike and its riding and blah blah blah, but when you blather on in the opening about you flat footing and some chick...you've lost me.
Flat footing meant to communicate ergos, “some other chick” (tomboyabit) also has a RUclips channel and referenced just in case people want to go check out that channel as well for coverage on the bikes and event 👍🏼

I would need a warehouse if I could have all the bikes that I want at this time, the new bikes are just freaking awesome.
For real! So many great bikes 🤘🏼

I see they changed the original rectangle screen to a round one, interesting. Bike looks amazing, bet they're fun! Great video as always!
Thanks Derek! Def a fan of the round gauge more
The round speedo is found on the base model, the TFT on higher spec versions. I agree, it is far more in keeping with the bike.
Man Indian really took a step forward this year! Which bike did you like better? The scout 101 or FTR Carbon?
Scout 101 was fun, but FTR R Carbon takes the win for me 🏁
The FTR was released in 2019 and had some updates in 2022. It's been around for awhile 😉
I’ve always loved the FTR however those mirrors and that exhaust, have got to go day one
Easy fix to take off mufflers and put a slip on, as well as bar end mirrrors.
The R carbon is awesome, kinda wish they had a carbon fiber “windshield” piece like on the FTR S.
FTRs awesome, but I'd go with the standard or sport model.
FTR is such an awesome bike! 🏁
So much fun!
Looks cool, I like the round speedo too. Very Monster like 👍🏻
Very cool to see you riding around in Europe! Would love to ride one of those
FTR is My current favorite motorcycle 😊❤

When will the comparison with the Sportster S take place? I think thousands of people want a fair, head-to-head comparison.
keep up the excellent work
Sporter S is faster as it makes more power. Everything else it does worse. And it's ugly 😆
If you've never ridden a Harley XR 1200 X I would suggest you give one a try if you get a chance funnest motorcycle I've ever ridden it's very similar to the ftr

So...this? OR a Norton Commando 961 Transatlantic? Not being sarcastic, this is a beautiful bike.
How do you think the ktm 990 duke comparison with the ftr 1200
It has a compass on it, is that from the early days for what?

Would be awesome with a quick shifter!

Smash shaped, lol

@@logangodofcandyVery circumstantial argument. I like to pick my burgers off the burger tree, personally.

120 horsepower with 518 bike weight makes great power to weight ratio. Less weight means better acceleration, braking and handling,
Impressive numbers, in the V-twin world...

BRING BACK THE INDIAN FOUR.
В Москве троллейбусы убрали вместе с проводами над дорогой. А у вас они процветают. Очень интересно.
Good to see the FTR is going world wide!
Fuel tank volume too small for long trips.
Orlando, FL is miserable 10-1/2 months out of the year.
Adventure bike build for the Blockhead FTR? 🤔
Joseph are u there 😂🎉

What’s HD stand for? lol
I guess 11 minutes is enough time to get anywhere you want on that thing .

Is this available in the United States?
Well given that it's a historic US marque currently owned by an American organisation, what do you think?
Nothing like blowing by a peddle bike at 120+mph😂
Indian FTR vs Harley Nightster
Great looking bike... but $17k is a lot of money for a 120hp
good deal. I paid 17000. back in 07 for a HD night rain.
It's torque that counts not horsepower - and the FTR has it in spades, particularly when tuned.
@@yassassin6425 I made that comment 4 months ago and it's been 2 months since I've owned a FTR R Carbon...sooo I didn't listen to myself lol

I can't stand digital tacs on bikes.
I agree. It needs a lid at least or in the sun it's unreadable.
The base model has a traditional speedometer/odometer.
That speedo aint right. No Kia wagon is passing anything at 115 mph. Must have had it in kph mode.
Filmed in Czech Republic 👍🏼
It's in km
If you watch the video from Blockhead about the Indian FTR R Carbon TEST RIDE, he talks about being in Europe and it being in KM/H.
Filmed not in a Fahrenheit country 😂
