I have an Indian challenger and also just got the 2024 FTR carbon R yesterday and love it. I’m 50 and the FTR makes me feel 30 again tones if fun . So my big Indian still great for long rides and touring and the FTR local around town or back roads fun

I think it’s a reasonable bike for beginners. Even though it is 1200cc, you can throw it down and the weight is balanced, it’s not overly torquey, and I don’t fear popping a wheelie by mistake. I bought a 2024 for my first bike. 800 miles so far. Feels a little small at times, but very balanced.
