Re mushroom washing: I go by Jacques Pepin's advice. It's not a question of washing or not. If they're dirty, you wash them. You just need to use them straightaway. In other words, don't wash your mushrooms, then store them in the fridge. I think JP's advice is something we can all rely upon.

misophonia is about noises made by people, like chewing or cracking knuckles. clicking made by a stove is annoying but doesn't trigger the same reactions
@@helenross3037 Something like a clicking clock or stove can bother people with misophonia, but yeah most misophoniacs are only bothered by mouth sounds. Personally I'm just bothered by any human related sounds in general like someone in the other room listening to music or a podcast on top of mouth sounds.

@@helenross3037 Listening to my own is fine, but I think it's just that when other people are listening, I have no control over it. You can't close your ears like you can with your eyes. Misophonia mixed with sensory anxiety makes it bad, not the music itself.

See, if people are there I just rinse it and still throw it in 😂 realistically it’s gonna cook off anything questionable anyway, the plants where veg are packaged are probably just as dirty as your floor, and I’d be surprised if everything didn’t touch the floor before it was sold. Rinsing anything doesn’t remove germs anyway, just dirt.
