For anyone else who wants the salt mix ingredients: - 2 tablespoons pink peppercorns - 3.5 cups salt - 2.5 cups white sugar* - 6 fresh bay leaves - 1 teaspoon of maras biber - 1 cardamom pod Blend in a food processor *Although Brad doesn't actually say how much sugar is in the mix, BA has another cured egg yolk recipe available online which is how I'm estimating the sugar.
I love the fact that when brad prepared to crack the ostrich egg EVERYONE in the test kitchen came around to see whether or not the result would be success or chaos...thats a true family right there
I love that we hung another little egg ornament -- this time wrapped in canvas -- and then never came back to that either! It's becoming obvious. Brad's goal is to decorate the entire BA test kitchen with egg yolk. Eggxmas is coming, guys!
