I think it's always unfair that people rank Chinatown Wars so low just because it's top down. Like, when you put your preconceived idea of "what GTA is supposed to be" aside it's definitely a better and overall more impressive game than Liberty City Stories, probably Vice City Stories as well.

GTA V holds your hand far too much. The missions are ridiculously easy. Scripted missions that you have to complete exactly in the way the developers want you to. What happened to the GTA games where you could be creative and think outside the box in how you wanted to complete a mission?
I’m not a serious gamer. I play when I have time and I’m good at some games, bad at others, competitive in none of them. Strictly for single player fun. That said, there were only two or three missions that I had to replay. They were very easy. You had a higher chance of failing the yoga mini game than a driving or shooting mission 😂

I've seen a few videos that list "the top hardest GTA missions" and you'll find plenty from GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, but the only one mentioned from V is that yoga game. lol. Now to be fair, part of the difficulty in those missions from the earlier games was the mechanics and janky controls, but I stand by what I said. GTA V is just too damn easy. I also think I had about 2-3 missions that I had to replay and one was just because I didn't realize it was a timed mission immediately. To add to that, if you are super horrible and fail a mission a bunch of times, the game will just give you the option to skip it. Also, your characters are given "special abilities" to help you. GTA V is a beautiful world to travel through, but, wow it is in no way challenging.
Being easy doesn't change the fact that it's the best. I don't have to smash my keyboard to control the godamm RC plane in vice city or Noe and all zero missions from san andreas. GTA online is great the first few plays but gets boring over time but GTA 5 campaign is just the best bro and the most mature. San Andreas and 4 are very close but it's just better

I played like all the gtas but my favourites have to be vice city because it makes it feel like you literally own the city and has such a good story . And gta5.. I know I know it’s overrated but they did good on the story aswell and it was fairly a long game to play through .

Good list but I really can’t see the top spot can even be debated. GTA 4 is hands down the best ever. Best story, gritty characters, gritty world, best physics, rag doll. Driving is fine once you get used to it. Ok some character’s get a bit annoying. Even the in game tv is great. No game has ever captured the feel of this game. Yes 5 is bigger and has the biggest online but GTA 4 hands down the masterpiece.

GTAVCS is definitely the most underrated gta. I like all gta games except gta 1, gta 2, gta london, gta advanced and chinatown, these games from a bird's eye view just didn't catch me much, but other than that I'm a gta sucker. Gta vcs is the last gta I played before gta 6 and I bought a playstation 2 just to play gtalcs and gtavcs and I have to say that gtavcs surprised me the most gta vcs is as good as Gta Vice city and Gta San andreas in my opinion and it's a real shame that not many people played this game Jerry Martinez is my favorite villain from the gta series I would say he is even a little bit better than Tempenny definitely more hilarious.

Not true. It is just more realistic and takes more skill to do effiecently. Really rewarding once you do. No one claims it doesn't have flaws. They all have flawd. But this one is the best one overall if you care about characters and the stories. Niko is easily the best main character, followed by CJ. The good vastly outweighs any "bad". It's more serious and emotuonal tone far more resembles the Red Dead series, and its what I prefer. Rather than cartoonish characters, arcade style driving/shooting where every car and weapon feels the same, and surface level stories like GTA 5. It's all preference, but imo no other GTA comes close to being as overall immersive as GTA 4.

GTA 5 is easier and very different from the past games, it's a result of all the complaints from GTA 4 and Rockstar's attempt to fix the problems people had. There could be a lot of reasons why some might feel it lost the charm. I think it might be because some smaller details and charming details and the fact that the graphics are pretty good and Rockstar's improved devs who make npcs less interesting and have less personality that is noticable, and the improved missions that are more cinematic unlike the past games. They changed their design philosophy greatly with 5. I'm fine with it, but I've played it too much and am no longer interested in it except for maybe Online mode.

@Chill gaming Why is the map cooler ? There are many mechanics that aren't in GTA SA. 5 and online have almost everything SA has.
GTA 5 is easier and very different from the past games, it's a result of all the complaints from GTA 4 and Rockstar's attempt to fix the problems people had. There could be a lot of reasons why some might feel it lost the charm. I think it might be because some smaller details and charming details and the fact that the graphics are pretty good and Rockstar's improved devs who make npcs less interesting and have less personality that is noticable, and the improved missions that are more cinematic unlike the past games. They changed their design philosophy greatly with 5. I'm fine with it, but I've played it too much and am no longer interested in it except for maybe Online mode.
San Andreas will always be my favorite but maybe 6 will overthrow it

I'am the only one who thinks that gta sa has better story and everything than gta 5? 😁😁😅 In gta sa there are hundreds of activities which you can do if you are not doing the missions or complete the story. In gta 5 what can you do besides the story? Tenis or golf, literally that's it. 😂😂 Even the stat's system is much much better in gta san andreas. No talk about the story and characters. In Gta 5 was for me only Michael. Franklin is a verry dull character without a life. And Trevor is a psychopatic character only made to atract little children to play the game. And the story was about some FIB,IIA/ Merryweather boring bullshit. (It's not that i don't understand the story but to my opinion the story of gta 5 trying to be so much adult but childish at the same time.)
