My dad had one when they first came out, I’ve just found one for 1.5k I may be purchasing it I’ve always found them extremely cool and yes they’re pretty rare
I bought one of these cars back in the late 90s from a sketchy mechanic that promised he would repair the blown turbo and one of the drive shafts. After I was finished paying him it took him months to get the car fixed and I was sick of waiting and I wanted my money back. I was only able to drive it once on the test drive but I always regret not being able to own it and have fun with it. Such a unique car you never see them anymore. Thanks for sharing, brings back good memories though:)
Randomly owned two of these in the mid 90s. Didn’t search them out and it was a little strange because I never saw another(Impulse) on the road unless it was from the 80s. Fortunately I was able to convince my friends that it was more of a Lotus than a Geo. They still talk about the “Lotus” ad how much fun it was to drive lol
this is really a perfect sports car if you think about it, and it really do shows that it wants to compete with cars like the celica, svx, talon.. hell even rx7
My first car ever was a Geo Storm, handed down to me by my parents... (so I grew up riding in the back of one), had a BLAST learning how to drive in that car, unfortunately I let some girl drive it and she total'd it haha, lesson learned! Anyways, on the search for a replacement... I think that turned me into a car enthusiast. Fast forward a decade, I'm a proud 300zx, FD, RX8 owner (and some other less neat cars.), but I had the itch to find another clean Geo Storm for nostalgia sake. On my not-very-successful search... I remembered these things, and now I've begun an even more difficult journey of finding one juuuust like this! ANYWAYS, if you guys stumble upon another by some miracle, please reach out :)
@@caliberautomotivegroup1770 even if you do. parts are more impossible. Finding rear struts for the 91RS just isnt possible. Any parts for the 83 to 89 JR series are impossible too. Thats why i havent bought another impulse when i see one, i know i cant fix it if something major goes wrong

@@caliberautomotivegroup1770 I wish I could, I might still be able to but it's unbelievably unlikely. it's in excellent condition, only 83k miles, do you think $5k (their selling price) is reasonable?
Rx7s, mr2s, vintage Italian cars, etc…Isuzu impulse rs is without a doubt the rarest car I’ve been in that I can think of.
1 of 600 in the US! Definitely rare!

Sounds like a bad judgement call
Love how this car looks like a fusion between 3 series and 91 Integra.
It’s a classic design!
I've seen exactly two of these in my entire life.

Wish they had imported more of them! What a fun car!
the most obscure car i can ever imagine
Ha! Very obscure!
I dreamed of this back in the day, along with the 16v GTI, and the 5.0 mustang Lx
All great cars from that era!
