- Rumour has it that on the longest night of leafbare the Clan's warrior ancestors will come down from silverpelt to dance upon the lake. Young Ivykit and Dovekit set out to see for themselves if this intriguing tale is true. However they quickly discover there may be more to this mystery than they ever could imagine.

I thought I would upload it today as it is the 22nd and the winter solstice! (the longest night of the year!) Perhaps Ivykit and Dovekit are out making trouble on the lake as we speak!
This MAP came with a pretty unique set of challenges. Although MAPs generally tell a story, they are often not set up as a scene in the way this one was. I really wanted it to have a feel of unity to it like a short film and so I ended up doing quite a lot of colour grading, flipping parts to make sure that characters didn't switch from right to left, adding snow and I even had to edit some parts a little to keep the pacing right. I'm nervous you guys will be cross with me for doing so much editing but I really wanted it to look great for you guys! Any edits I had to make really reflect my planning and scripting, not you and your work. But honestly I'm super proud of all who took part! I got to work with a lot of cool people and I think everyone pushed themselves to make something really magical and pretty in such a short time! From the bottom of my heart thank you so much for taking part! I really hope you like it too!

*Dovewing listened to Lionblaze's battle plan. They were preparing for the Great Battle. "Imagine... the warriors of StarClan and the Dark Forest will set foot in the territories." Dovewing suppressed a purr. She remembered, long ago, when she and Ivypool had seen StarClan dancing on the lake one winter. This wouldn't be the first time StarClan was in Clan territory. Dovewing remembered the frosty white, sparking cats she and her sister had seen. They had weaved among each other, pouncing and sliding and racing arcoss the ice. But then.. the ice had cracked. Dovewing remembered trying to save Ivykit and falling in instead. A black figure with green eyes had saved her. She never saw the shadow again, but ever now and then she was reminded of it by... "Hollyleaf!" Jayfeather and Lionblaze turned to her with confused expressions. "Hollyleaf what?" Lionblaze asked, but Dovewing had already raced across the camp to the warriors' den. Hollyleaf was sitting up and washing. Dovewing crept forward. "Hollyleaf? Can I ask you something?" Hollyleaf gave her a friendly blink. "Sure" Dovewing hesitated, before beginning, "Um... was it you who saved me that one night when I fell in the lake as a kit?" Hollyleaf looked surpised and thought for a moment, before replying with a simple "yes". Dovewing blinked gratefully as she meowed, "Thank you so much. You saved my life!" She heard rustling behind her and realized Jayfeather and Lionblaze had followed her. Jayfeather had a certain expression in his eyes, as if something had just dawned on him. "Hollyleaf... if you hadn't saved Dovewing, the prophecy wouldn't have been fullfilled because she's the third cat." Dovewing thanked Hollyleaf again, as she realized her rescuer had basically saved all the Clans. Hollyleaf smiled. "No problem."*
(I haven't read Omen of the Stars for a while, so I don't exactly know Hollyleaf's attitude towards Dovewing or how soon she came back before the battle. I just felt like writing this short story though, hope you liked it!)

Somehow, I don't think these 'shadows' have always been Hollyleaf. Most likely, they were cats from the dark forest, so Dovekit and Ivykit got lucky if it was usually dark forest warriors. I mean, what if it had been Hawkfrost of Tigerstar instead?

I remember the first time I watched this seeing Hollyleaf at the end made me tear up. Even now its been almost six months since this map has been out, that bit with Hollyleaf makes me sad every time. Everybody who was a part of this map did a fantastic job!
Does Longtail's voice sound quite... Monotone? Lacking much emotion? Its a nice voice but it just sounds like it's read out for the first time. Good video otherwise, clever animation!
That may be you, but I think it does have emotion.

-Nawh it was actually really easy on your part! I was applying a standard quick grade onto most of them the ones that were already blue I had to tweak more to get them the RIGHT kind of blue xD But colour grading is actually pretty fun! 8D-

Hollyleaf has always been my favorite character, and it is unfair how no one respected her or understood why she ran away. I totally understand. She was stressed and wanted to do the best for her clan. Rest in Peace Hollyleaf, and may you rest peacefully in Starclan forever.
