My dad brought home an old windows xp computer from work that they were about to throw away. He fixed it up and put “newer” hardware in it so I could play games he used to play. Since I was 6 years old I have played StarCraft and this game holds a special place in my heart. Thank you for the daily uploads it truly brings me joy man. 🫡
The RESTORE comment got me. We all forget that because it’s so rarely used. Probably have to have 50 “spare” APM to use it. Can’t wait to see someone who uses it effectively without sacrificing other aspects of their build/army/movement

Hey Falcon! As a 90s kid grew up in Korea I’m very used to watching pro SC1 cast, played a lot myself, and still can access top-class SC1 game castings from pro-gamers and casters. But when I feel like watching SC1 games I always watch yours instead of them! Professional player’s casting can get very pedantic so much so that they sometimes even scold on the viewers for their ignorance, Korean game casters yell and scream way too much. You may not have as much skills on reading the game as them, but in your cast I can just relax and enjoy the game and your funny comments. Thanks for the good works Falcon!
I was getting seriously confused at around 16:30 when you started shouting at him to restore those science vessels. I kept rewinding the video to see if I was missing something. I thought I was losing my mind.
What an intense game! Royal started with an strong opening by building a few racks, and medics. But the bad thing is he didn’t get Goliaths, or Vultures. Otherwise it would be a better advantage for him till late game. GG for both players!
@7:00 you ask why terrans do it, it's beacuse if the mutas don't engage the marines, then the Marines steamroll the zerg base and can kill it outright. If the mutas engage the Marines badly, then they lose mutas. If the terran stays TOO close to home, then the muta player can just harass the edges and force terran to waste APM fruitlessly chasing mutas around his own base while the zerg harasses. This at least forces zerg to keep that ball of mutas at home.
It also forces the zerg to build sunkens (which cost lots of resources and reduce the zerg's drone count, thus slowing down their economy), and sometimes the zerg is greedy and doesn't build any, and then if the terran walks across they can greed-check the zerg and win directly.
the medic should cast the restoration spell in a dropship. that would be interesting. also the optical flare too. ghost should cast lockdown and nuke in dropship too.
Larva played really well, but Royal just played sloppy. He left so many of his units on open ground and Ultras would just pick off the small groups. He also didn't micro his Science Vessels and BC's away when scourge came by, or at least attack them. Didn't repair his BC's to get more value out of them. Also left a bunch of BC's attacking a hydra under Dark Swarm...like...get away from that!
19:41 okay, Royal redeemed himself and cured the plague on a BC, maybe he was just saving Restoration for that and wasnt worried about his plagued bio squad at 17 minutes.

like we always talk about, the key to sk terran is to keep the vessels alive. zerg cannot overcome the efficiency of the irradiate. especially if he uses restoration
I feel with games like these a lot of players don't understand the difference in supply value for T and Z this may have seemed like a back and forth game but realistically Royal was just hanging in after the 12-15min mark hoping Larva would blunder and give him a chance to get back in it.
again, barcode avatar might also just read "MADE." Gotta pay the PRICE to face the ELITES and legends, like Duran might have also said 'whatever the player name is is meaningless." They've EARNED that special status, lol.
I was so mad watching this, went from using the battle cruisers and science vessels with the marines and for defense, to sending them off on their own to get plagued and killed by scourge and hydras. Only saw him use restore once, never saw any scv's coming over to repair the battle cruisers or science vessels. I know royal is a better player than I'll ever be, but why the hell did he do it like that?
He was using restoration properly on the BCs at first, then seemed to forget about it. Same with D matrix on BCs...he had all the ingredients early on but then sent the 5 BCs alone but hey at least it wasn't 2...actually did serious damage before dying. It's rare to see terrans using BCs properly but it makes for a really fun game when they do.
I love the Terran music too. They all are good but that intro is something else.

I feel like against zerg players defense is not an option. Otherwise the dark swarms get closer to your base and thats it.
