The minimap shows you where the opponents have spawned at the start of game with the red crosshairs (0:34), which after a few seconds go away - can save yourself some scouting next time (or grab the uninhabited quadrant early if you're feeling particularly greedy).
Very good advice I'm sure he hadn't considered. Any other tips for this Grandmaster player?

@@thunderhorse689being Grandmaster doesn’t make you omnipotent. It’s a minor thing, but it would slightly optimize everything. He didn’t know about it, as made clear by the fact he scouted the entire map, so why are you criticizing the spread of information?

What really stood out to me was how good the prediction of the outcome of battles was. Instantly seeing what would trade well and not in a very early stage of every engagement.

I don't know why this was recommended to me because I have never played starcraft, but this was pretty entertaining seeing this level of micromanaging. I don't know how someone could keep precise control of so many different units.

I really am surprised by the lack of cross team co-op...barely any of the strengths of the Protos and Zerg were used...Zerg ground forces can be produced very quickly to provide distraction while Protos can focus on building a superior air fleet
Yeah. I was thinking there was maybe a rule against that. Since that's what I see people do even at low skill levels in team games or 2v1s.

Being gold isnt anything that really says youre great but come on why the fuck would you run your entire army into siege tanks?
Protoss player made me the angriest, stalker spam against siege tanks/Marines? 10 minutes of talking with your teammates and you have a 100% Win stratedgy, alone because they have 800 supply and he has 200

His income at the end was abysmal- if he hadn't dealt the killing blow they would've overwhelmed him with sheer money soon enough haha.
looking at the 4 players micro skill, it was really terrible, that's what cause the unbalance
@@atrudokht that's the point. Gold players usually have some general understanding of the game, but their mechanical skills aren't that great

Worker rush not necessarily - Early timing push absolutely

Absolutely INSANE! Well done! You did this off of a single starting base! I remember when Beasty did this, he had a few people on his team leave so he had the extra income. Perhaps you could do that vs some higher level players.

Yes, and no. You see their starting positions. Not where each individual start.
Funny how you can stay so calm. Even at my most relaxed I don’t think i blink for 10 straight minutes
if you looked at the mini map when the game started you could've seen where they spawned so you would've had to scout with the SCV
Damn, I am amazed how your brain works, you are able to do very intensive and complicated thoughtful movements by hands and fingers to control untis, while analysing the overall game situation and adapting to one strategy or another, and also able to independently speak about everything at the same time. I envy your level of development)
It would be a disaster if one just mass produce widow mines, one defends with marines, Zerg just focused on eco, and a late game protoss

Tbch I'm not a SC2 PVP player so maybe I've missed something important or maybe don't know about a certain PVP rule/s, but it's hella weird to think that those 4 players haven't grouped all their armies to attack in the same time from different angles like surround him from different sides. Wouldn't that make it so much harder for uThermal to focus and defend? As he said it's not ideal at all to fight 4 different maxed armies at once. Let's be honest they have around 800 supply cap together while he has only 200.

That's kind of embarrassing to be honest. I feel like the only way they lose is by running full ground armies into mass-tanks, one by one, and that's exactly what they did.
If they just build air units and make sure to take the outside bases then surely there's no way they'd lose.

The minimap shows the spawn locations at the beginning of each game with big red bullseyes. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. The game gives you that initial scouting info by default. 0:34
That's a perfect example of why StarCraft 2 is the best RTS out there. Skills really matter and that was a skill diff for sure. Such a gap between Gold and Grandmaster.
I don't play SC recent years but gosh destroying enemies with siege tanks is one of the most satisfying feelings in gaming

Lack of early capital ships helped marc quite a lot. As well as keep on running into tons of tanks. I did not thought this will be possible at all.

There will some chance if all would do something what distracts control since 5 minutes - oracles, darks, mutas, ravens, nukes. And also big static defense to prevent harrass. Terrans may do Planetary fortress toss - lands of photons.

That would be impossible to beat, right? If they all just worker-rush him he wouldn't stand a chance. So there needs to be some miscommunication for it to be even possible.
@@stanle1101 Worker rushing was I believe the only thing explicitly off limits, as it defeats the point of the challenge.

the protoss didnt canon rush
if the protoss go canon rush, the guy will be forced to send 2 scv after the probe and 4 scv against the pylon, it mean he is unable to build his wall and so the zerg can come with his zergling
other terrans can try to rush to made marines or reaper
other strategy is baneling or roach for the zerg
marines for both terrans
mass zealot for the protoss and launch an attack in less of 4 minutes
the golds players lack of agressivety

If everyone just proxied like two unit buildings, scouted and rallied at him ignoring any counter they’d win. There’s just no way you’d hold off like 6 Marie’s, 2 zealots and or lings before they can even get a good defense up
for being a grandmaster, you'd think he know that the game literally pings where the enemy spawns when the game starts.
granted, it'd be nice to know what races and potential builds he's up against.

In my opinion the nastiest opponent composition/strategy would be early zergling/immortal attack (with maybe some ravager or baneling thrown in). with 3-4 players doing that an A-move would just wipe any single Terran opponent regardless of what they built.
Was there any sort of rule that they could not attack all at once for a certain period of time? because for the first 13 minutes I didn't seen a single instance of them attacking together despite making like 7 attacks.
The hot keying and movement multi tasking is unreal!

If they all played terran, all built marines only, rallied all units to the mineral line until the jump off moment (fuck expansions, don't give him a surface area to attack), and rushed at 40 supply each, I don't believe it's physically possible for him to hold.
If they had just timed their attacks to hit together instead of one-by-one you'd have been toast
Would be interesting to see how many golds someone like Serral or Clem could beat.
Man, back in WoL Gold players actually knew how to play the game. I could ramble on, but it was clear that those 4 are absolute novices.

Never though gold players could be that bad. The best strategy with 100% win rate is all in with all workers by the beginning of the game.

I'm confused, at the start of the game the minimap indicates where they spawned doesn't it? But gm player is looking for where they spawned, so what's with the indicator at start?
One thing is going against four and see how it's going to play out, that's one thing.
But... Speed-talking and giving commentator talks while multi multi-tasking by killing "them" and taking them out one by one, is another freaking thing... But with smiling face and excitement makes my day.. 🙏🏽
