- In this challenge run of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, we ask and answer one simple question: Can you beat the game on the highest "Brutal" difficulty without creating a single new unit?

Kerrigan: I am the ..
Jim: No you are not, I'm the swarm.
Giant Grant Games will be proud.
Proud Prant Pames will be giant
Only if he does it deathless
Well, despite this run being very, very good and skillful, Grant probably won't include mind-control in his challenge run. I am pretty sure about that.
Grant is so bad lol
@@bsherman8236 Grant is the best lol
I like how the challenge is unrelated to speedrunning, but you still try to go as fast as possible
I think its also because more time means more units for the ennemy
@@vubhutoto8761 ok, but I wish to believe that this is just a strong habit Stu managed to develop
@@Cromlech sure
Final Mission was very close. You had the largest zerg bio-signature I've ever seen in your base.
i find it very ironic that queen of blades lost to her own forces
You mean the 10 fps part?
Damn that engine sucked from the very beginning at it still does.
@@tertozer3543 That is a log of units to render.
Most of them are the same so they probably are batch rendered.
Even then most game engines would struggle with it.
@@LittleRainGames When sc2 came out, quad core cpus were the standard. Game Engine only supported two cores.
Can't imagine the amount of time it took to route and test a run like this before presenting it.. Well done! Really impressive work.
What a nice way say that someone is burned
Taldarim on balshir: they are stealing our gas! Wait they don't? They do! They don't...monitoring equipment must be broken, let's ignore it.
Raynor: "We'll need a lot more marines before we take on the Dominion outpost. Train 'em up at the Barracks."
Stu: "Naaaaah..."
A video with this caliber of skill combine with GGG's commentary style would be so nice.
Stu style of editing and just going pure business slightly more is slightly better for me. It's just easier to appreciate how precise some moments can be, feels more tense that way as well.
Personally when it comes to watching someone else gameplay how it's done on this channel is just perfection as I didn't ever had any extra questions beyond what is provided by the added text in the video.
Dunno, it just have that slick, professional feeling the way it's done here.
@@andrzejnadgirl2029 I think what Stu does is great for RUclips, since they're doing straight recordings as opposed to doing edited VODs from Twitch streams. Sometimes those are nice, say if it's someone just doing a 20 minute summary of something that took them several days worth of 6 hour streams (I don't watch Twitch, I don't know how long streams tend to last) and they're highlighting the good bits and a few funny things that happened.
When it comes to speedruns or similar challenges, I do like to watch the whole thing instead of just the good bits from a couple missions to demonstrate why it was a challenge. It might not get as many views, but I do prefer watching the whole playthrough as opposed to an edited down version
@@aceshighdueceslow Did you ever check out the giant grant games archives? That's the unedited versions of the streams, also of his speedruns.
@@gushlergushler I didn't know he had an archive, I'll have to check that out, especially because I've wanted to see the full, unedited versions of the WarCraft 3 campaigns
I love it just the way it is tbqh
Wonder what was Warfield thinking when he got rescued by a flock of mutalisks.
Man... for as difficult as I find the Brutal missions to be, here you are making dreams happen. Massive props, Stu!
Just imagine if Wings of Liberty had a "Train 5 Marines" introductory mission. The run would have ended before it could start!
Next up, Heart of the-oh wait…
I think ggg did that by creating and then immediately killing the units
Your channel easily has some the best SC2 campaign content that exists. Would love to see a full "Destroy Everything" run of each campaign mission with your play style - my favorite missions to watch from your speedrunning series are those where you take this approach. Your clears of All In, Zero Hour, Sudden Strike, etc. are all absolutely impeccable.
I dunno if someone has done Destroy Everything on LotV, but that seems like a great idea, though I'm not sure how possible that would be (I guess Rakshir is the bottleneck). DaveyGunface and GGG haven't covered that yet (they only did WoL and HotS).
Thanks for speeding certain sections up. It's appreciated. Godly run man. You're a legend.
Haha Stu doing everything in his power to avoid Legacy of the void :P
A work of art and quality entertainment. Love the commentary too!
A little bit defect is that you should not controlled broodlords because they spawn broodlings automatically in attack.
Dunno how possible The Crucible would be without Swarm Hosts if that's the case 😅
Normal no production on that mission was already crazy enough, what more Brutal with an extra handicap
47:56
"we should just cover the place in auto-turrets"
> does exactly that
Это прохождение компании словно.. реалистичное? Это если бы Рейнор ценил каждого бойца и в конце дал медаль героя Стетманну.
Спасибо тебе за прохождение, ну и понятно дело ждём спидран legacy of the void легендарного Stu))
So many details, such a brilliant move. How did you discover by cancelling 6 times of SCV in the mission"Welcome to the Jungle"
It's a known bug nowadays, a nice tactic nonetheless.
It's an old speedrunning trick, I'm not sure who discovered it first.
@@StuGamespretty sure it was grant
We wait for the LoTV speedrun. Meanwhile, this is absurdly cool too!
Absolutely nuts Stu, well done.
Would not have thought it was possible, amazing run!
very well done! I mean everything: micro, strategy, video content.I can't even imagine what tremendous efforts it took you to think of the best way to complete these challenge and how many attempts you did !WE NEED MORE OF THIS ON RUclips
this video has got to be one of the most amazing display of ability I've ever seen! Very nice prep for the maps and the specific units/structures given at the start of every mission. Best regards from Costa Rica Stu!
And i struggle to beat it on brutal with no restrictions at all :')
For real though you're nutty, love your sc2 content!
Very nice. The remaining missions would've been trivial at this point (planetaries and hive mind emulators for the colonist story line, and Odin carry on Korhal), while not giving any further advantage, so I suppose I shan't mind you left them out.
Biggest problem would be the final protoss mission. I don't think photon cannons are enough, but I certainly do not possess the skill level to test it. With these rules, interceptors can't even be rebuilt... Probably impossible, but maybe some day a brave youtuber will prove me wrong :D
Damn Stu gave us another quality content to watch. Thank you for making this vids! I hope your channel can grow more
What an effort you put in! Besides the great skill, the editing was really nice. Top notch video, man.
Can't wait to see more of this. Absolutely amazing!
Well, I guess you got 10th anniversary achievement of Moebius factor, huh.
Great run, as always)
I read the title and couldn't believe it was possible
This needs commentary!!!
For a moment I thought it's a no production run on the highest difficulty. 0 units produced is still a great challenge run though. Great job!
This is quality content!!! Keep it up mate!
Seeing this get done just after I slogged through brutal is really humbling.. Truly amazing work you have done here!!
Any time you see all possible terran structures flying - remember that someone values his men's lives above everything. ✨
Nice work mate! Bravo!
9 supply, 200 mutas. Fuckin golden. Love it, amazing job my dude.
Best vid that can pop up in the break 🎉🎉🎉
Now THIS is content
Your run will make a fine addition to my playlist and favorites
Great videos Stu. Keep em' comin!
This is just unbelievable. When i first time played WoL the last mission gave me so much pain on normal, that i even cant describe how Kerrigan humiliated my bunkers and battlecruisersю Since then i surely had seen a lot of tactics and good strategies, but your video made all my experience to be like a puke, like a joke. I thank you for the video.
Amazing run. Well done.
I generally don't enjoy vids like this where there is no talking. Bit you adding context in a written form kinda was enough. What really did make it special is your play style and skill level. This kept me watching with your side notes. But rly impressive run your very skilled
I cant wait to see the next campaigns. Amazing work❤
When I first discovered your videos I greatly appreciated them for the high skill expression and lack of nauseating camera micro that made the footage unwatched. And I still do thanks for this content ❤❤
GGG would be so proud. Hope you'll do more of this! xD
ok, the "All in" muta and lord takeover rly got me, lol. very good taktik
Amazing work! That is insane
Amazingly creat strategies. Great editing. Thanks Stu!
Outrageous!!! just flexing on kerrigan in the last mission with the largest ever zerg army
Grant would be proud of ya.
Thumbs up and subscribed. Love this type of content.
Subscribed to this channel bc of the funny and well-edited "who would win" vids. Stayed for the masterclass playthroughs.
No regrets.
bravo STU! Enjoyed your video so well 👍
Great work. Hats off to you.
Matt Horner REALLY wanted you to use that artifact
I'm very happy that it was uploaded at the moment I thought it would be nice if there was a video of the Terran campaign being tied together.
This was pure skill! You are officially crazier than Grant now
I can feel somewhere out there GGG is sweating
you rock !!!!! years of trying for one vid !! congratulations !!!!
This is beyond impressive. The RnD behind this, respect to you sir.
the videos are great, I'm amazed and definitely learnt a few new things, when are you going to play legacy of the void, I'll be looking forward to it
I never expect that.....
That's truly amazing...
Amazing gameplay. I passed Brutal a few times before but so much stress and so many hours. Lots of great techniques and resource management. Plus you speed run this.
GJ!! I like your non commented video and your skills ! Give us more challenges and gameplays !
Thnks4share! This is so good!
This is amazing
Stu... Man, what a brilhant performance, each stage, each plan. U deserve the best! Thx for that video!
This is EPIC!!
Amazing....congratulations.
Absolutely amazing
Tosh: Good job! That's the first canister filled.
Raynor: That's over half the canisters you wanted.
Raynor can't count XD
(29:10)
2 Questions:
1. how many Muta did you have at the end there?
2. Did you try and mind-control the Leviathan?
Leviathan is a heroic unit, cant be mind controlled
Very nice !!!
Stu, you're crazy. I love it.
STU I have been watching you for years and this is truly a special accomplishment ❤
Absolute art!
sick performance, stu is the MAN!
Thank for new SC2 masterpiece run!
next challenge is to complete on brutal without losing any single unit? XD
impressive gj!
I can't imagine how many times you've studied this...
I have many memories in SC games because I'm korean. Thanks you so much. Nice explanation, foreigners also watched it comfortably!!
Great content brother I completed any missions from watch your play
Nice challenge. I'm watching this like a real high end survival movie.
You make it look so easy! But when I try any of your strats myself, I have no where near enough APM to keep up. Also, that final shot with all the Mutas was awesome!
You deserve waaaay more subs
Wow, I did not think that was possible! Great job!
I think however that at the second mission, 11:37 - you can probably do better if you target the ranged units. They keep stacking behind zerglings and do more and more damage.
It is such a beautiful performance
Bravo, it's impressive ! smart decisions only !
You are legendary!!
Just impressive👍👍
Some of the best gaming I've ever watched...
Wow man, this should be a Netflix show
Молодец, справиться на брутале, без заказа юнитов. Ну ты мужик, на яйцах вывез. Жду такие же видосы по остальным частям
This is insane
Oh man bro you such a chad.
what a madman
did what many thought was impossible and didnt even dared to try
Love the vids Still w8 for LoTV 100%
The later of this campaign is basically just a unit heist movie
really, really impressive 😁couldn't even do that on easy. things like landing a building on a siege tank to unsiege it are really clever. learned some tricks for my own playthrough
