Go Row Indoor workout #5 - The 30 minute workout

  • Join Clare and friends for a longer 30 minute workout designed to test your endurance.

    Indoor rowing is the perfect workout, helping you to get fit and tone-up, fast. It's easy to get started and you'll see the benefits of indoor rowing in no time.
    Here are some exercise adaptions for the circuit exercises you can use if you can't follow along with Clare.
    If you can’t do a bicycle crunch, do a seated twist leaning back or an upright twist with your shoulders and arms only.
    If you can’t do a press up, do a one-legged squat or resisted chest press with a resistance band attached to the back of the rowing machine.
    If you can’t do a lunge, do a lateral raise with dumbbells or a tricep extension with a resistance band attached to the back of the rowing machine.

    Separating out the specific parts and tools for each of the seven step assembly process steps was brilliant on the part of the manufacturer. For the price, I am impressed at how sturdy this ruclips.net/user/postUgkxvObaTzoHoHQLL4lHbJQmExHqsrZQm-f7 unit is and it does go together easily. Well, I was puzzled at first at Step 5 and maybe the instructions should mention that rail #62 needs to be tilted upwards a little to get the rail to fit into the main part #44. I like it that the rower can be stored vertically in a really small amount of space, but be forewarned that this rower is top heavy and for safety you'll need at least two bungee cords to keep the unit upright, attaching them to something; in my case to a third garage door. I have had this unit only a short time, and I will post an update once I've had it for a year. As for working your legs, I have to admit that I'm mainly rowing for upper body strength and I use other forms of exercise for leg strength (like walking fast, biking, or using a trampoline. But if you pull as far forward as possible, then you can give preference to your legs for the first 4 feet or so of travel. I also admit to not taking the two electronic connectors apart at Step 7. I simply inserted the two batteries while the other parts remained connected. By the way, there is plenty of resistance here, even in the lowest resistance settings. Kudos to Sunny Health & Fitness !

    These workouts are wonderful. I'm a rower, and for several months I was knocked out of action by "long-haul" COVID-19. I gradually rebuilt my fitness on my WaterRower, and when I was strong enough to work out with Claire and company, these Go Row workouts were just the thing to keep me motivated. Claire's instruction is clear and inspiring. The design and production are brilliant. Great visual/verbal cues and camera angles - I've been able to improve my stroke (catch and finish) by closely following Claire's body sequence. Now that nasty winter wind and rain have arrived on the west coast of Canada (and my club is back on partial COVID lockdown, sigh), I'm continuing to stay rowing-fit with the British Rowing Team. :-) Thank you!

    Not sure if you read these but thank you. I have plantar fasciitis and bought a dead cheap rower for £20 so I can exercise off my feet. Been two months. Absolutely exhausted. I’m not a natural athlete. 48. Peri Menopausal but need to exercise for health. I simple loathe and fear each work out initially but persevere and get my 20-25 minutes. It really works and the intervals with cardio makes a huge difference. Thumbs up all the way. 👍

    12:00, wrong elbow position during push ups. They are too far away from body. It should be around 45 degree angle.
