  • Last minute chopper changes, are we gonna make it? Mock-up has gone “ok.” Last minute I found and switched to a cooler rear fender which means Jeff Phipps needs to tweak the seat. Now we send off the frame for powder and the tank and fender for paint.

If it makes you feel any better , I once built an 80 cu in shovel head chopper in 14 days on a bet! Painted running, down the road hard tail in 14 days. Won the bet! It can be done, so hang in there.

Building a chopper it always changes. It seems the chopper will tell you what it wants and what it wants to look like. Great job, and keep up the great work.

I really love how you both just stop or slow down for your Daughter....
That is so important for everything more then what Mother's and especially Father's.
It's the little things children remember for their whole lives.
You have no idea when your kids that are 27 or so and out of no where go remember when we did that thing when I was 8.....😢😢😢
Yes it makes you very sad but yet very proud.
Now to make him get out of race cars and a nice relaxing bike.
Bykerdogrv now just outside Ft Meyer's Beach

6 weeks? You can do it 💪 if the wiring turns out fine, you will get it done way before your deadline. Cannot wait to see your face when the beautiful contenders engine starts for the first time . Have you considered live streaming that event? Would be mega cool 😎

Another vote for the new fender. much better. love the attention to the little details, even ones you can't see. Because the build isn't about the competition... its about your personal growth.

I had a great day 63, sweating and ride about 300 miles. We had the Byers Lake Memorial Park run today. It's 147 miles north or Anchorage. Beautiful day, so lots of bikes were out and made the run. I figured without counting about 250-275. Home now and it looks like it's about to rain.

You aren't the only on complaining about the heat & humidity in Florida. Sister in-law in Daytona was saying the same thing you were just yesterday. Looks like you're progress on the bike is normal. A chopper is always an ongoing project. But from my outsider's view you're making great progress and it's coming together nicely. Can't wait to see the finished product.

I know you have too many Tex to read them all but please thank your father for me. I’m a scout leader. We put the flags on the national cemetery in Nashville with the other troops in the area made a point of actually reading the names before we put the flags in front to remember them ❤️🇺🇸

People don’t understand that step. I restore 2 stroke bikes from 100 cc on up you know to keep me sane. while I’m bolt on building my SG, a little more custom on my brakeout and basically a restore on a friends sportster. So I got a GT 380 2stroke. With those I make them run and find missing parts,. Make notes rip it all apart powder coat the frame and spall parts then freshen up or rebuild the motor. Hope I can find all the bolts after powder and paint and put them together 3-4 month minimum project and that easy compared to what you doing. Building a road race bike from the ground up and it’s been so slow going.
Thanks for showing your frustrations so I don’t feel alone. 3am I’m going in the house.

You spend endless hours in your garage. You film your show in the garage. You work on your bikes in the garage. You have a truck, a car, a mobile home and ten motorcycles. You live in Florida. There's nothing worse than high heat and humidity. Why don't you take The one last step and add AC. To your garage. Just curious.
