I just did same kit in my 2022 ultra limited 114 engine 475 cam, ss intake manifold , stock intake from stage 1 , stock decat head pipe khrome works slip ons with ripper baffles dyno tuned at 120hp & 132 torque even the tuner was impressed with the numbers!!
Nice! Grinch is coming along. Can't wait to see what's next. Stage 2 can be louder because the cam changes when the valves open and close. And a higher lift cam allows more air/fuel to flow in to be squashed and burnt. So more exhaust gas comes out under more pressure at a different pulse timing. 👍
I just did mine 475 cam on 2019 Street Glide Special w 114 motor, FuelMoto head pipe and Rinehart 4.5 DBX exhaust w FuelMoto inserts and tune! I love it.
I have the exact same set up, just finishing it all up. What numbers did you end up getting? My numbers are good but the seat of the pants feels way better.
I had to replace my manifold because it warped, so I put the SE manifold in, I have true duals from Vance & Hine with Twin Slash slip-ons, S&S 475 also. My Road Glide is a 107 and my tune made 106HP and 117 TQ. And yes it got very loud after it was done.
Omg i never heard a harley sound so good. I allways taught small pipes and fishtails and everyone was telling me no no go for the bigger pipes but no u are right. Smaller pipes and them fishtails sound like THUNDER.......... U have great knowledge of the harleys. Thanks very much from Ireland.
Stock should be about 87 HP and 109 TQ. I put the S&S 475 into my 2019 ultra with Rinehart duals and it put out 114 HP and 128TQ. I just put the same cam in son-in-laws 2021 FLHXS with a TBR 2-1 shorty and it pulled 117 HP and 128 TQ.
Love my 2016 UL with the H.O. 103 just hit 64,000 miles yesterday… bullet proof. Compensator at 58,000 miles.. stage 1. Since the H.O. Has a “hot cam” kinda .. i said kinda .. calm down …. Love it ….
Thanks for the vid. While upgrading a cam plate and oil pump on a ‘20 and up, is not a waste on money, but is not needed. I always hear the argument “you’re already in there” If you have an extra $1600 and are paying for labor, maybe so. A top builder and tuner in my area (CA Bay Area) told me it would be a waste of money for my ‘21 FXLRS. I was only doing a bolt in cam. He recommended a 22xe over the 475. I also do my own work.
Grinch performance upgrades coming along nicely; S&S 475c Cam Chest Kit is awesome! Do one more thang to the "Grinch" to complement the Stage-1/Stage-2 upgrades: In short, get selected HD OE "plastic" parts off the bike. 1. Replace the plastic OE intake manifold with a 55mm aluminum intake manifold (S&S and HD-SE offer these). 2. The cover on top of the transmission...replace the OE plastic piece with a Trask M8 Checkvent (metal and it properly ventilates the crankcase, plus it looks good, available in chrome and gloss black). 3. Cable Clutch adjuster...replace the plastic OE piece with a metal aftermarket piece (about $50, I believe I got mine from HogWork). Other: for air/oil cooled Touring...Add the Fan (HD or Thundermax) to the Oil Cooler and flash ECM (if stock tuner), or ensure box is checked if using Dynojet or TTS. If using a Thundermax ECM, super easy. Just saying! Tom M., 2023 RG-ST 117 Stage-1. S&S 2-1 Sidewinder (no cat; dB reducer installed for now until Tuned), S&S 55mm intake manifold; HD-SE Extreme Ventilator a/c; Trask M8 checkvent; HD oil cooler Fan; numerous other upgrades to Lighting, Audio, Bars, Suspension, etc. Planning on Stage-2, considering the Redshift 472 Cam and the Star Racing 485 Cam.
I did the S&S cam chest as well on my '18 Road Glide Ultra, but went with the Zippers 468 cam. I also went wide band on the O2 sensors, SE Pro Tune Plus and Power Vision 2B. 107 HP and 118 torque with 4.5" Tabs. Yes, much louder after the cam!!! I love the lope with the 468 but the 475 may have just a teeny but more.
Without going into a huge deal about cam operation...... Basically, the more displacement, the taller lift and longer duration, the biggest trick is getting your cam for the rpms you ride . I'm sure there's lots of people that are saying the same thing.... That 475 is a really good cam for the m8 good choppy exhaust note, and from 1600 rpm- to 5800 rpm you'll be smiling ear to ear..... The Grinch that stole torque+ horsepower.... Be a hell of a sequel... Enjoy that beast

I’ve got a 2022 road glide standard 107 in reef blue with a Bassani 2 into 1 mid length and Arlen Ness big sucker. I originally wanted the s and s 475 because it chops so hard and sounds amazing on top of its performance. But it was during Covid and they were back ordered. And I had money burning a hole in my pocket bad. So I went with the zippers red shift 468 instead. Cant say that I’m disappointed. It doesn’t lope as nice but it still has a good sound. And the numbers out of the 107 with a screaming eagle tuner are 119 ft/lbs of torque and 106 horsepower. So.. yeah. I’m happy! Ride safe-ish!

I am curious to Dyno mine. I bought it with the work done. It started as a 107, was bumped to a 114. So my guess would be it was just piston and jugs, so a shorter stroke bigger bore 114. Plus a RS 468, D&D 2-1, 5.5 injectors and a Fuel moto ac/dc air cleaner.
I went with the S&S 465 for better torque on the 2020 RG. I went with the cam chest kit and did the entire low end. I even did the black pushrod covers. The only thing I regret is the Thunder Max. I should have used the Dynojet for better fine tuning. My gas mileage sucks bad.
I having the same issue with my Thundermax. The bike seems to run fine, but my gas mileage sucks. I had my dealer do the 114 Stage 4 when I purchased it in 2018. I need to find someone in my area who knows how to tune a Thundermax.
Stage II can be easily down in just a couple of hours... or less. Always fascinating to watch techs pull push rod covers, turn the rear wheel to watch them move up and down to find TDC before cutting stock rods... ALL you have to do is take off cam cover which you have to do anyways and use the timing marks on the sprockets for exact TDC. After market cam plates better? Sure but local shop owner has never seen a stock cam plate fail in over 20 years.
I realize my opinion really doesn’t matter….😉😉😉 Really impressed with the sound of the exhaust. I never usually like any type of fish tails… Your bike sounds great!!!! Ride safe, hopefully we run into you at Sturgis again…
I will be down at Those Dyno Guys in June for my Cam and tune on my Victory Cross Country Tour. I will see how much louder and how much power hes able to get out of mine. Running Andrews cams and Vance & Hines slip ons.
Did he check the crank runout? I have read that a run out greater than 5 thousands of an inch is what causes premature oil pump failure, and in turn causes sumping issues.
Ideally, both crank and pinion runout should be checked for Total Indicated Runout(TIR)....that being said, S&S says not to install their cam plate if you're over 5 thou, under 3 thou if you're wanting gear drive. Harley is actually pretty good about checking it before upgrades. May depend on the shop, but always ask.

Running the 475 in my 107 for three years with a F/M tune with decatted head pipe. went through four different sets of slip ons and a definite improvement in performance but the clutch side lazy pipe did not have the velocity to push the exhaust gases away from the bike. Sitting at a light or in rally traffic it was borderline unbearable, put a Khrome werks outlaw 2into1 and I have found the performance and sound I was looking for and no longer asphyxiate the wife, although I do snap her neck with the torque.
I bet it runs good. Just my two cents with those FM tunes take it to a good dyno guy. You may not get a whole lot more in terms of numbers but it will clean it up and get you the power how it should be. It’s a good starting point but my 107 was completely different after tune

I’d love to do a gear swap also to get rid of any potential cam chain tensioner issues in the future but like I said I’m completely clueless when it comes to picking the right cam!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated brother!! LOVE the new body swap by the way!!
It might sound a bit silly, could you go over the mileage you get after the cam change? Ive been thinking about getting more oomph out of my 107 M8, but it is my long distance hauler so distance per tank still matters to me at least a bit.
So the 475 is good but what about the gas mileage and tuning? I am sure you would have to get headers too Right? eliminate the catalytics converter and tune it up>
When I got my 21 RG, the guy at the dealer was telling me I could get my 107 upgraded to the 131 and still be under warranty. I asked him, with such a big motor, what is the top speed of the bike with the 131? He told me that the speed limiter wouldn't change for the 110-112 top end speed. So I asked him what is the point in getting a bigger motor if the top speed is going to stay the same. Dude looked at me with a serious look and said, "you'll get there faster.". 8 grand just to get to 110 faster than the other bikes, and then watch them leave me looking at their backs? No thank you.

It might sound a bit silly, could you go over the mileage you get after the cam change? Ive been thinking about getting more oomph out of my 107 M8, but it is my long distance hauler so distance per tank still matters to me at least a bit.
Its gonna go down, but not more than 2-3 mpg. The bike is finally getting the fuel it needs to run cooler!
Sounds great!
I'm starting to think if you can't play hot for teacher to the rumble at idle its too smooth.
Exactly!!!!
So the 475 is good but what about the gas mileage and tuning? I am sure you would have to get headers too Right? eliminate the catalytics converter and tune it up>
The video before this was me doin the head pipe
What mufflers are those man?. Love the looked of that wide fishtail....looks more like a sharktail
Completely stock 2021 114 I have 101 horse and 121 torque
That’s a really happy dyno…
When I got my 21 RG, the guy at the dealer was telling me I could get my 107 upgraded to the 131 and still be under warranty. I asked him, with such a big motor, what is the top speed of the bike with the 131? He told me that the speed limiter wouldn't change for the 110-112 top end speed. So I asked him what is the point in getting a bigger motor if the top speed is going to stay the same. Dude looked at me with a serious look and said, "you'll get there faster.". 8 grand just to get to 110 faster than the other bikes, and then watch them leave me looking at their backs? No thank you.
You can turn the limiter off with an aftermarket tuner and speed right into your coffin if that’s your wish.
@@ProfessionalMonkey no, my wish would be NOT to pay a ridiculous amount of money for an engine, THEN pay a few extra hundred bucks just to get the thing to do the stuff it is supposed to do in the first place. And hopefully my trip to my coffin will be a slow, drawn out process, taking YEARS to accomplish.
You snooze you lose . Don’t fall asleep on that couch next time 😂…
