▶ Let Us Know if we should do a Part II and WHO should be in it?!
Yes. 👍
Get Reactors from non western societies. Korea, The middle east, the Philippines, maybe even from Africa.
Star Wars has seeped into so much of our culture that it is hard to find people in the Western world who won't recognize Yoda the first time they see him, or have not heard "Luke I am your father" as an old cliche.
"New blood" should be fresh to the genré.
Darth Vader really is a villain who you come to sympathize with. He’s so evil in the beginning, but you really do understand he was a prisoner of his own hate and anger, and it took his son believing in him, and never giving up on him to lead him back to redemption.
But that’s just letting your weaknesses be who u are.
Redemption???? The dude killed a bunch of kids, destroyed a planet and killed his pregnant wife. There is no redeeming that.
"You don't...the POWER... of the Dark Side" he was also a prisoner of the power it gave him.
@@jahurn Not of his power.... Sidious tormented him multiple times and he couldnt stand a chance. His training consisted mostly of Sidious torturing him.
This was such a heavy moment for us who saw the films in theaters ‘77-‘83. For six years, Darth Vader was considered the ultimate villain, as bad as you can get. Seeing him redeemed by his son and becoming a Force ghost with Obi-Wan and Yoda was not on anyone’s bingo card.
That gentle harp version of the Imperial March at the end makes it an even stronger moment
Williams recently created a new arrangement of Anakin’s Theme that has a very similar harp statement of the March near the end. Haunting foreshadowing of the character’s end in a theme meant for his youth.
Very true about the harp. 😢
His work in the Star Wars just leaves no doubt that he is one of the greatest composers in all of history.
IDK about John Williams new arrangement. It was good the way it was, especially as the last part of the closing music for Episode 1.
the emperor purposefully made the suit weak to force lightening as a contingency if vader ever turned against him. He also made it constantly painful and uncomfortable to be in.
Pointless detail as it's never mentioned in the movies, just like all the rest of the details about his suit.
@@cm9241 expanded info is never pointless in a franchise as widespread and long lasting across multiple media as Star Wars. The movies are just one medium. Especially when its the other mediums carrying the franchise and not the movies.
Anyway its cute that you tried but perhaps don't talk nonsense with a point that was shot down in the 80s
@@tenjenkbro you didn't need to explain this to him he doesn't care
The pain and discomfort also served to keep his connection to the dark side stronger and stronger
@dankdynamic5832 it's not for him, it's for the others reading and for regular discourse to continue
This video really show the compassion in people that they would cry over a villain who turned to good for just once.
Really, he's more of a tragic hero once you get the context of the whole story.
It's interesting how quickly the audience is willing to forget and forgive Vader just being extraordinarily despotic for decades isn't it. That's quality filmmaking there. Some nasty looking scars, a sad looking man and Hamill really selling the reaction to seeing his father with compassion.
Luke, Ahsoka, as well as Yoda and Obi-Wan might forgive Anakin, but everyone else (the rebels and the rest of the galaxy), they won't.
I wanted him to make amends, but after all he's done, he'll be forever hunted, not even Dagobah can keep him safe. In the state he was in, he wouldn't even last long enough for Luke to get him to the medical team.
The real irony is that Qui-Gon knew all of this would happen (from Anakin's downfall to his redemption)
Has nothing to do with Vader. It was the closure that Luke had which is touching.
I'd love to see a collection of reactions to the part in Galaxy Quest where Alex actually means it when he says, "By Grabthar's hammer..."
You shall be avenged
When he picked up the Emperor the electricity fried his robotics that kept him alive. He was dead the second he did it. Just a matter of time.
These movies were some of my favourites to watch as a child, so it's neat seeing all these reactions. Getting to briefly see the man behind that black mask truly helped humanize Anakin/Vader to audiences.
This scene hurt so much when I first watched it as a kid and it still hurts til this day. Vader(not anakin) and Luke will always be my Goats in the star Wars universe.
watching this after watching the prequels makes this scene really tough to watch now
4:11 - Nice observation
That's recently deceased actor/bodybuilder, David Prowse as man plays Darth Vader's body. Prowse died back in 2020 at the age of 85.
0:40 Anakin!
The symbolism of removing the mask was brilliant. He was finally free.
When I saw this again, I realized for the first time....
George Lucas must have had a sister...
That's why he wrote the father's last words as "Tell your sister you were right."
:-)
Lol one last troll from ani 😂
This was so sad to see, all it took was his son to save him from this darkness
I've tried on dozens of masks and none of them make me sound like James Earl Jones.🤨
Have you tried beheading Arnold Schwarzenegger's mom?
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
5:48 Oh but he was.
He was indeed.
In a tecnical aspect Obiwan was there to see his good come out again
So you’re saying he WAS there…from a certain point of view…
@@gawainethefirst yes I am from a certain point of View
I’m going to need the 1999 Blair Witch movie reaction video!
YESSSS
I have to recommend the radio dramas for the Star Wars trilogy, there's so much more story, and amazing scenes and quotes. You can find them on RUclips. (No association, just a fan)
This scene always hits me because he didn't die as Darth Vader... He died as Anakin Skywalker, the redeemed Jedi.
Always remember, darkness is just the absence of light. All you have to do is find a way to shine on it.
This was memorable
Vader's life support systems were not well insulated, and the system's delicate circuitry was vulnerable to the damaging effects of Force lightning. This vulnerability would eventually contribute to vaders death.
Ahsoka shows up and stands over by the two red dots.
4:05 look at her eyes. 😄
I saw this movie the 1st to 10th time between the years of 2000 ,and 2006 .
3:44
It is about father and son relationship. Like in the Bible - very tough. (I will amend my nick name but further).
Darth: help me take this mask off
Luke: but.. you'll die
Darth: ...i have rights.
Let's give credit to writer George Lucas, writer Lawrence Kasdan, director Richard Marquand, and actors Mark Hamill, James Earl Jones, and Sebastian Shaw for their exemplary work constructing and executing this scene to make it so effective.
We have to see when Anakin transforms into Darth Vader in episode 3, it will be great to see the reactions.
I really prefer with eyebrows. Shows a lot more emotion
3:14 did he really ask that?
When Vader was lying on the ground and Luke was hacking at him over and over, did this guy think Luke was just cutting off his prosthetic limbs? 🙄
You see this and you remember why the new trilogy can't be respected. Vader died so Palpatine wouldn't win and yet "Palpatine somehow survived". Disheartening
I'll die on the hill that the ending of this movie is even more dramatically impactful if saved for last among the proper 6 movies; i.e., you've seen Anakin's/Vader's entire journey first.
Yeah episode 4, 5, then 123, then 6. And then clone wars(mainline episodes). Then rogue one. And then just the first two seasons of mando, then andor.
@@paulchavez3039 I prefer having first-timers alternate between both trilogies (and avoid all the Di$ney crap). but your 'flashback order' is the next best thing. Of course, if they already know the OT's familial revelations, they might as well just watch them in chronological order from the start. As long as they end with ROTJ.
4:47 oh my God they totally could have had a patty cake moment there popcorn in bed girl
That old edit someone did with the harmonica dub has totally ruined this scene for me.
Do “Pride and Prejudice” reactions of holding hands, specifically of women or couples as they all swoon and get “hot and bothered” at it.
What if Luke unmasked Vader and it was James Earl Jones. And he said, "Luke...the Death Star...We have the MEATS!!" And then they were shown enjoying some Arby's sandwiches as Father and Son.
Uhm…that’s Ving Rhames for Arby’s.
@@gawainethefirst Really! I had no idea! And I thought my comment was so clever. Oh well, my five minutes of fame is up :/ Thanks for the clarification! I'll do my research next time before making my next snappy comment!
7:28 then maybe you should marry her. 😏
Did you get permission from any of these reaction channels to use them in your videos? Because it seems like you're just stealing reactions without transforming the content whatsoever. That's not allowed.
Disney his pretty much ruined Star Wars when they made legends the expanded universe non canon they changed everything and get rid of the old timeline
Is the spoiler warning really necessary after the movies been out for 41 years
"Jedi's the most insulting installment, because Vader's beautiful, black visage is sullied when he pulls off his mask to reveal a feeble, crusty old white man! "
The original Get Out
So disappointed when this happened and seeing it in the theaters - the BADDEST man in the galaxy and its . . . . uncle Fester
Like, that is the point. Underneath all of that exterior he is a pathetic old man underneath
People felling bad for Vader is crazy. There is no redemption for him. He destroyed whole planets. He killed the younglings. F him and his force ghost forever.
The younglings had it coming
@@harrymulcaster-jones5195 OK, but not the good people of Alderaan except maybe cousin Niano.
Tarkin blew up Alderaan, not Vader. In ANH, Tarkin was second only to the Emperor, even Vader took orders from him.
People feel bad because him falling to the dark side wasn’t all his fault their was plenty of people and events that caused him to turned
Y'all look at this is a sad moment but you're not viewing it from another point of view Anakin was finally free of the dark side so in essence this is more of a happy moment like I said from a certain point of view
4:13 haha use the Force and lift him, Popcorn in bed has the sweetest notions.
Wait until you see he did all this for love, for the girl he met when he was 7, and called her an angel, you'll cry your eyes out. Evil Jedi that didn't let him love her did all this. Anakin is the single nicest person in this whole universe.
"Wait until you see...".
And the spoilers begin... 🙄
I bet all those children he murdered see it differently
