We are Dave and Karen and decided to sell our home in Georgia to live full time in an RV to travel across America to see the beauty of our country and meet awesome people along the way. We travel in our fifth wheel, pulled by a heavy duty RV Hauler that transports our two Can-Am motorcycles along with a Freedom Hauler that carries our Smart Car.

I really appreciate your cabin tour as it is very thorough and resourceful since I’m booking one of the cabins ❤

We have stayed at a campground cabin in Georgia. It was not a TT campground though. I much prefer staying in a campground to staying in a hotel. The cabin we stayed in did not allow pets. Can you have pets in the TT cabins? As a member how much did is cost? What would they charge to a non member? Thanks for sharing.

I prefer a cabin over a hotel room too. At this campground they had cabins available with pets too. The one we were in was $114 per nite. With TT membership it was half price. With Elite membership it was free (7 days in cabin per year...get reimbursed).

Nice video and review... glad it worked out so well for you. I have no problem staying in a cabin, and have done so these last few years, taking my Dad out yearly for his birthday when he said he couldn't quite "camp" anymore. We have had great trips to... 1) Happy Jack Lodge in Happy Jack, AZ while exploring off-road on Forest Road 300 (Rim Road) during the summer on the Mogollon Rim in northern AZ... 2) Circle Pines KOA Campground in Williams, AZ taking day trips to the Grand Canyon.... and, 3) Roper Lake State Park near Safford, AZ taking day trips to Morenci (mining history) and to Tombstone (watch gunfight re-creation at O.K. Corral and have a good lunch at Big Nose Kate's). Lots to see in AZ year-round, either by camper or cabin! Safe travels, all! Pete - KI7LIL

Yep, driving a pickup off-road exploring, finding remote campsites and sleeping in sleeping bags on the ground was getting to be too much (as much as he liked "roughing it"), but, the cabin route was a game changer..... shelter, raised bed, restroom/shower, kitchenette... those things make a huge difference to folks as they age, and I'm glad so many options are available to keep them comfortable while still wanting to camp and explore new places. The internet is awesome. You want something, you can find it. This doesn't only apply to older folks, though.... new campers and young families will find cabins tremendously valuable, getting them outdoors, exploring history and seeing where their next adventure takes them, too. Honestly, half my trips now are in sleeping bags or in cabins.... and, both are equally awesome in their own ways when planned for accordingly. Peace and safe travels! Pete - KI7LIL
