gladbeast I saw the band five times, three times at Madison Square Garden, once at Radio City Music Hall, and once at what is now the venue for the US Open. Even saw the infamous yet funny Dick Cavett performance live on television. SLY was HIGH but I was so young I didn't know. Imagine 20,000 people dancing with the band performing. The calls for an encore were staggeringly LOUD when the band finished a set. The first two Madison Square Garden shows were vintage. The third Madison Square Garden show I saw, the wedding show to future Bride of Finkelstein Kathy or Dawn Silva, was okay. The latter two shows mentioned were by comparison sparsely attended and Larry Graham was gone. He was significant to the live shows. Makes sense. He played bass and the bass drove the groove. Gregg Errico played drums. He was gone, too, and their replacements no doubt were among the best musicians available, but Larry and Gregg, original band members and present in this video, were H of F material.
