I used to listen to this song a lot as a little kid, it still holds up.

I've seen some comments about how it's too upbeat to be batman but the point of the song is that he is questioning the batman persona including his darkness, so it would be weird for the song to be dark when his own darkness is what he is questioning. Almost all of his iconic enemies wear bright colours, and in the song he believes he is the same as them, hence the brightness. All my interpretation anyway , take it or leave it.

This song is genius. It comes from (in my opinion) The Riddlers Perspective of The Dark Knight. That in itself is genius, Lyrics match up perfectly with the music video and really sets the mood of Arkham Asylum.
My thought is that it's Batman starting to believe he's losing it and he "Riddle me this" is a sign of who the song is for: E. Nigma. Sort of like telling him "This is not a good time to mess with me, Ed."
I always have thought that this song was about Joker's perspective about Bats, but who know!

This song popped into my head again today, so I went back to listen to it. I first stumbled upon it around 8 years ago, along with Joker's Song, and it's stuck with me ever since. Such a powerful analysis of Batman; the chorus always made me think Riddler was singing it, but when I realized it was Bruce that was (of course) way better. There is something so chilling and awesome about hearing him question his own sanity and deeply consider what everyone else is thinking about him. And it's got an AMAZING meoldy and beat! I love how each of Batman's villains is worked in so cleverly. Definitely one of the best songs I've ever heard associated with the Dark Knight. Really holds up after all this time!

In my head its song split between the Riddler and Joker, Riddler is trying desperately to figure out who batman is.The Joker being the joker, is sabotaging Ed by being silly.
In the end the Joker accidentally gives Riddler the nudge in the right direction. The "check my head I guess the joke's on me" part is riddler at first being unsurprised at the joker being unhelpful, then as he gets more annoyed he starts hating being compared to the joker(Is your taunting true, am I as crazy as you?) and then becomes him laughing at the irony of the joker giving him all he needs to figure out who Batman really is.
I always find it interesting the way that Batman's rogues work very well as embodiments of his own psyche. Every last one that stays around works as a potential hallucination of a disturbed mind.
This guy really is a miracle of sound.

It caught me eye after watching the teaser from The Dark Knight preview, that's why both the movie and the game are awesome things from Batman.

This song is very catchy
I think it's switching between Riddler and Batman singing. I see it as Riddler standing on a stage, before a legion of Batsy's villains, and talking/singing what's in the song. Then, it switches to Batman on top of the Gotham buildings, fighting various villains and goons, talking/singing.

TheDoctor2222 I see it as Riddler - Joker switching it up. Riddler is trying to find out who batman is and Joker is sabotaging him via doodling on his work and mocking him. Riddler is about to give up when he sees joker's "Goatee Wayne" picture. which makes it all click for the riddler...

It's quite far-fteched, but "the law I'm DEALING", with Penguin being the merchant of the Arkham games, and in the same line "letting my reason WANE", where wane is pronounced exactly as Wayne. Like I said, far-fetched, but I try to find as many as possible. :p

It's very likely Gavin intended the lyrics to jump perspectives - the reocurring theme of the Arkham games (and the original comic, from what I gather - have only ever read about it) is the questioning of if Batman is just as insane as the criminals he puts away. You can hear hints of this in Gavin's "Joker's Song" as well, and it's played up rather big in Arkham Knight.

I guess I could say its tone doesn't fit the tone of Batman himself. I wouldn't like it in any Batman movie or video game. If this song fits said flim or whatever, then I think it's not a good representation of his character. It's kinda hard to explain or I just needlessly overcomplicate it.
