  • Riding motorcycles was everything for Terry. Growing up he always had a dirt bike which eventually transitioned into a road bike. Specifically at fast one. Terry liked to ride fast and wild in his younger days and he would be out mostly every weekend riding with a group of friends.
On one July weekend morning, Terry’s life was about to change. He was riding his crotch rocket motorcycle and hit a patch of gravel on a back road and crash into a tree. His helmet hit so hard that it cracked in two. By all accounts, he should have died if it weren’t for his girlfriend at the time that was a nurse and rushed to the scene. She kept him alive until he could be flown to the trauma center.
Terry’s life was turned upside down and he had a long recovery ahead of him. He had to learn how to do every basic function again. Walking, talking, eating. But during his time in the hospital, Terry had a divine encounter with Jesus Christ which changed his life forever.
Some years after his accident Terry got reacquainted with a past girlfriend, Tonya. The two hit it off again and they would go on to get married proving that life does not have to stop even for a brain injury. Terry uses his experience as a way to give hope to new traumatic brain injury survivors.
