An annoying trend im noticing with successful shows and streaming services in general is that they will have an entire season of just setup and no payoff, the bear, squid game and HOTD have all had this issue. I miss the days when a tv season had to have its own narrative arc, but now they have to only be a part of a larger narrative and nothing else.
Add to the fact that a lot of these shows have WAY extended their production, to the point where waiting two YEARS for a new season has become normal. Why give the consumer the whole season thing out the gate and then make us wait for more?
I hope it does considering the last time he tried to make a running gag (randomly going on a rant about how awful the Doomsday Apparatus from Pikmin 2 is) he didn't commit to it
Delicious in Dungeon was such an unexpected masterpiece for me. I had never heard of Dungeon Meshi so this was one of the greatest surprises of any show I’ve watched
I initially got into Dandadan cause I saw one of the VAs (Abby trot English voice of Momo)who bought seasoning from me and my mom’s Busines was one of the main characters in the show, so I wanted to show my support for it, and after the first episode I got hooked.
That's a pretty accurate and fair take on Nokotan. For me, I was able to just enjoy it throughout. It's been a while since I had something this stupidly silly to turn my brain off with and just vibe with. And I didn't know you also loved The Good Place. Now you got me wishing for a video where you just dissect and talk about it.
To be honest, I kind of felt like the show was going to go in the same direction having watched the show. The narrator for Nokotan was hilarious just because I know the VA voices Kaeya from Genshin, so hearing him as a narrator was funny.
I can't think of a show that misuses its ensemble cast harder than Nokoton. I like Koshitan and the vice president, but the way the show uses them is very one note
Throwing this out there for a video idea: Every scooby-doo movie ranked! No limits either. The live action ones, those weird celebrity tie-in ones, the one with courage the cowardly dog, seems like a fun one!
Duuuddeee I was just rewatching the second live action scooby doo movie. I was such a big part of my childhood. Those movies slap and I'm glad we're ready to acknowledge that as a society.
i rewatched it last year and still cried like a baby at the end of it. i watched with my grandma when she was on a trip here. we only expected to get through a couple of seasons and for her to finish it at her home.... we watched a lot more than expected and she delayed leaving for some hours to finish the show with me!

He is the premier telepath on the planet, and with Cerebro could easily influence humanity to be more tolerant of mutants, but he doesn’t because he thinks it would be wrong. Of all the mutants, Xavier literally has the power to make the world a utopia, but doesn’t. Magneto likewise has immense power, the power to end the world, but he didn’t want that. He literally only does it after: A literal nationwide genocide occurs, in the show it’s thousands. In the comics it was millions. He is nearly killed, watches a child be murdered in front of him, and strapped down in a bondage style torture room. A literal army of death robots is threatening the extinction and enslavement of mutant kind, and also humanity as we know it. His feelings are justified. His actions are not. Behold Magneto in a nutshell.
5:12 back in the day, people said Order 66 was an ass pull. I remember it 20 years ago. The Clone Wars finally justified that twist. In the wake of Abrams’s nonsense, Lucasfilm is left to pick up the pieces and try to form a coherent narrative so I feel like shows like Bad Batch are now trying to foreshadow Palpatine’s return. I like that this was the crew’s victory in the long run, leveling Necromancer enough that Palps didn’t immediately come back after ROTJ.
The funniest thing to me with Dandadan is how the Japanese VA for Turbo Granny, the "Yzma Cat" as you call her, is the same VA of Luffy from One Piece. So sometimes a bit of that Luffy-ism pokes through her performance, but it's a genuine delight to me when it happens >XD

I would recommend watching Skeleton Crew, it’s pretty different from previous Star Wars stuff. It really starts getting good after the first two episodes.

Skeleton Crew is actually a pretty solid show in contrast to the recent Star Wars series! It revolves around it’s own set of characters and builds up , as well as ends their arcs pretty well instead of relying on popular character cameos and tropes. (Well apart from the numerous pirate media influence but yknow). Certainly worth a watch, but I totally understand why that burn-out hit after all this time.
While the animation in New Wish might not be the best in terms of 3D, it still feels like and moves like how the OG characters would in 2D. And another I like in here is that all the characters now where shoes (like in the OG, with characters like Timmy, Cosmo, Wanda, Vicky, Crocker, etc., do they even wear shoes or are they just long socks?) and have pupils in their eyes (even the humans, which further proves how worthless that one fan theory is).

Can we admire how they took one of the most lackluster X-Men arcs in the comics, with a villain who is the epitome of "Cool design but convoluted origin and boring character", and managed to rework it into a natural evolution of the Sentinels and made Bastion one of the most intimidating yet human and nuanced villains in all the X-Men? and then instead of doing the thing writers have been doing for years and making Cyclops get on some high, hypocritical mutant horse, he reaches out to Bastion and shows that he's learned from humanities mistakes.
the X-Men 97 opening is a new recording of the original X-men theme song, so it was part of the saturday morning cartoon line up and we knew to be sat when it started.
Regarding the statement at 17:18, that’s probably because the fairly oddparents characters only work when they are shown with one ear at a time (and they are characters who are never meant to be shown their full faces), and every time they turn their heads, it’s so “blink and you’ll miss it” fast. Which also explains why those characters looked like a cluster-fuck in the jimmy neutron art-style during “the jimmy/timmy power hour trilogy”.
The fact that Shogun was this well received really excites me. In the last few months i have become a super fan of James Clavelle's asian saga and i am really hoping that the entire series will be adapted one day.
the issue with shogun season 2 would be trying to make blackthorne do something or they just stop being relatively speaking historically accurate because they think they can do better than actually happened(like do a game of thrones and say haha toranaga wont be shogun lolz)
I'm kind of surprised Schaf didn't watch Hazbin Hotel last year, considering it's an adult animated musical series that features numerous Broadway actors and he has a pretty extensive background in musical theater. The greatest trick Delicious in Dungeon ever pulled was getting people invested in a silly comfort show before turning into one of the most creative and well written fantasy stories out there.

I really enjoyed Bad Batch 3. I thought it was the best of the series and the finale was fantastic. Probably my favorite non Andor new star wars. It was really good.

And another I like in here is that all the characters now where shoes (like in the OG, with characters like Timmy, Cosmo, Wanda, Vicky, Crocker, etc., do they even wear shoes or are they just long socks?) and have pupils in their eyes (even the humans, which further proves how worthless that one fan theory is).

Can we admire how they took one of the most lackluster X-Men arcs in the comics, with a villain who is the epitome of "Cool design but convoluted origin and boring character", and managed to rework it into a natural evolution of the Sentinels and made Bastion one of the most intimidating yet human and nuanced villains in all the X-Men? and then instead of doing the thing writers have been doing for years and making Cyclops get on some high, hypocritical mutant horse, he reaches out to Bastion and shows that he's learned from humanities mistakes.
the X-Men 97 opening is a new recording of the original X-men theme song, so it was part of the saturday morning cartoon line up and we knew to be sat when it started.
Regarding the statement at 17:18, that’s probably because the fairly oddparents characters only work when they are shown with one ear at a time (and they are characters who are never meant to be shown their full faces), and every time they turn their heads, it’s so “blink and you’ll miss it” fast. Which also explains why those characters looked like a cluster-fuck in the jimmy neutron art-style during “the jimmy/timmy power hour trilogy”.

The fact that Shogun was this well received really excites me. In the last few months i have become a super fan of James Clavelle's asian saga and i am really hoping that the entire series will be adapted one day.
the issue with shogun season 2 would be trying to make blackthorne do something or they just stop being relatively speaking historically accurate because they think they can do better than actually happened(like do a game of thrones and say haha toranaga wont be shogun lolz)

I can't say whether or not he would enjoy it, but it at least seems right up his alley.

The greatest trick Delicious in Dungeon ever pulled was getting people invested in a silly comfort show before turning into one of the most creative and well written fantasy stories out there.
I actually LOVED season three of the Bad Batch. Especially with the Crosshair stuff. I liked his story.

I actually love Hacks and got so excited when you posted on twitter that you watched it. Both leads are so amazing and THAT SCENE from the finale is some of the best television I've seen in my entire life. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.
