    Maserati did try their best to upgrade. And they did a good job too, the interior and features look SO much better than just a few years ago, I think the inside looks beautiful. I don’t think they did well enough, however. This thing shouldn’t be as expensive as it is, it’s way overpriced. It should probably be closer to the $65,000 range, MAYBE $90,000 super fully loaded. That being said, it still does look GORGEOUS inside and out. This thing would do very well if it was just priced appropriately.

    Is the tech cutting edge? Are all of the interior materials worthy of the $127k price tag? Is it assembled with Lexus precision? No. But I don’t think any of those shortcomings are so egregiously offensive to be deal breakers. And this has something no other full-size sedan has to the same degree - personality. In terms of sheer fun factor out on the road, only the Jag XJ and maybe the AMG S63 come close. I think I’d actually be quite tempted by a Quattroporte if I was looking for a full-size sedan since I’m more about the driving experience than features and tech. But I’d definitely get one certified pre-owned and with an extended warranty, ofc.

    How could Maserati make any money on this? Who’s going to buy this new? It’s a sedan without a middle seat. It’s more money than an S class or a Lexus GS, and it doesn’t have any tech to make up for it. The only way I can think of someone buying this is for the Ferrari engine. Otherwise the only drivers of this vehicle are going to be people leasing it.

  • @BN99239
    @BN99239 4 года назад

    This thing honestly looks good on the outside...and that's about it. On closer inspection, there are multiple panel gaps, the interior is outdated, the performance is lackluster. A 2020 CLA 45AMG outperforms this thing at around $50k, much more modern interior. Believe it or not, there are usually huge discounts on these cars, no one ever pays full MSRP for these at all. Even after negotiating to $90k from $130k, it's still overpriced for what it brings to the table. Maybe if this was $65-$70k, then that's a more realistic price.

      Anthony Burke same with our Skoda, (Cheaper variant of Volkswagen) It’s very reliable and commonly used for long distanced as it gets all the luxury for low amount. We got ours when the car was 4 year old and 75k km. It already lost 50% of the value...

      ___ I said better, not more luxurious. Function of the interior is also a main part as well if you consider that you are buying a car, not a luxury item that happens to be a car. I mean if you actually spend some time with it, geez man that canter screen man, and that gear shifter try to shift quickly from drive to reverse, impossible to do. The car does sound good, I give it that much.

    So much hate on this car and Maserati. Sure, they are asking a lot of $ for what it is but most don't buy these and are reasonable on the used car market after leases expire. You get something its competitors don't offer, a car with soul, style and personality. Maserati has also improved quality over the years. They are not Lexus but they are getting better.

    Overpriced sure, but its still a beautiful car, id wait 2-3 years and snag one for fairly cheap, if you can do most of the maintenance yourself these cars aren't that expensive to own.
