I agree. Don't see the value in this. It looks generic and bland. Apart from the front grille, it looks like a slightly larger Accord or Camry. And the interior is just so bland and ordinary and outdated looking. It's the cheapest looking interior by far for any car in this price range.

I drove these Maserati’s at the car auction all the time and they were the most fun and easy car to drive in a parking lot. Especially with the performance exhaust you can get the sweetest pops and crackles

Maserati did try their best to upgrade. And they did a good job too, the interior and features look SO much better than just a few years ago, I think the inside looks beautiful. I don’t think they did well enough, however. This thing shouldn’t be as expensive as it is, it’s way overpriced. It should probably be closer to the $65,000 range, MAYBE $90,000 super fully loaded. That being said, it still does look GORGEOUS inside and out. This thing would do very well if it was just priced appropriately.
Well, italian cars may not be the best in term of luxury, updated infotainment and construction quality, but the pleasure of driving that italian cars give is incomparable, thanks to incredible engines and incredible mechanical work. In these terms, these cars kill the competition

I absolutely love Maserati and the thrill of driving them! But nothing stands out more than "MASERATI" with all the logos and emblems they put in your face it's wayyyyy to many. 2 on the front, 7 in the in front interior, on all 4 of the doors bottom entry, and 2 on both c pillars, and of course MASERATI on the back. So you'll always know what you're driving, they wouldn't want you to forget.
They need to throw everything this car has chassis and interior features wise into the body of 300. Use the pentastar as the base engine, this as the C, 392 for srt and the 6.2 supercharged for a hellcat. Hey man if FCA is watching i am open to being hired!
Is the tech cutting edge? Are all of the interior materials worthy of the $127k price tag? Is it assembled with Lexus precision? No. But I don’t think any of those shortcomings are so egregiously offensive to be deal breakers. And this has something no other full-size sedan has to the same degree - personality. In terms of sheer fun factor out on the road, only the Jag XJ and maybe the AMG S63 come close. I think I’d actually be quite tempted by a Quattroporte if I was looking for a full-size sedan since I’m more about the driving experience than features and tech. But I’d definitely get one certified pre-owned and with an extended warranty, ofc.
How could Maserati make any money on this? Who’s going to buy this new? It’s a sedan without a middle seat. It’s more money than an S class or a Lexus GS, and it doesn’t have any tech to make up for it. The only way I can think of someone buying this is for the Ferrari engine. Otherwise the only drivers of this vehicle are going to be people leasing it.
This thing honestly looks good on the outside...and that's about it. On closer inspection, there are multiple panel gaps, the interior is outdated, the performance is lackluster. A 2020 CLA 45AMG outperforms this thing at around $50k, much more modern interior. Believe it or not, there are usually huge discounts on these cars, no one ever pays full MSRP for these at all. Even after negotiating to $90k from $130k, it's still overpriced for what it brings to the table. Maybe if this was $65-$70k, then that's a more realistic price.
I will say this looks very subtle for a Maserati. I see alot of Fiat styling in the front. Did the BRZ sell? Every time I see your thumbnail I mean to ask.
A8 is a trash VW.. pretty much the only luxury cars that are worth it to own is Lexus. Otherwise if you choose any German car they fall apart and are worth 20% of what they were when they were new in 3-4 years

I think you really should do a POV Review on the 3.0TT Cadillac CT6...I just saw that about 3 years ago you did a POV Review on the 2.0T base model and thought you should do one for the "Top of the Line" Platinum with the 3.0TT V6
You know, this is a great car but when it is compared the competition, it just isnt enough... If Maserati replaced all the buttons with metal switch gear, I think it would make a world of difference!

I think what's most impressive about this vehicle is the 8 speed automatic with manual mode, the simple infotainment and the trunk space.
