      Hello, i haver the 225 and the 110 to incress the range first Change the cables for cat-6 then remove One antena ,and Change for a 9dbi hi gain antena , but not from a Chinese website.
      Then protect the antena with a flextube from the elements.
      The 500 mtrs is in a Open space, no trees,no houses , less WiFi interference and 2.4 ghzs....in the city i use the 225 because i have 2.4 and 5 ghzs.

      Great point. I actually tested different angles and found it makes a big difference depending on how you bend or point the antennas. Definitely a good idea to try different angles and see what works best for your setup.

      Bem , tens razão , o aparelho está limitado a 4 ghzs mas dá para alterar, de fábrica o limite são 200 mtrs , o meu transmite até 800 mtrs

    why does my eap110 transfer about 30 Mbps when my main router is 1gbps, I have cat 6 ethernet cable connecting the eap to main router.

    • @SATechReviewswithSteve
      @SATechReviewswithSteve  7 месяцев назад

      That's the strange thing...it's rated at 300Mbps but I think the POE injector is limited to 100Mbps. So in perfect contortions I can never get more than 100. I think you might need to buy a 3rd party POE injector that is rated higher. But the injector or switch must be passive POE...I tried a non-passive one and it doesn't power the unit. Maybe I'm missing something but seems like a flaw.
      I also have the EAP225 that is rated at 1200Mbps and has a Gigabit port.

    Hi thanks for your video!!
    Will it work with a Archer MR400 4G SIM CARD Router?

    • @SATechReviewswithSteve
      @SATechReviewswithSteve  5 месяцев назад

      It should work with any router that has an open port on the back. The EAP110 just extends (or creates a new one) whatever you have setup at the moment.

    Thanks, for the video! I have a question, can I use only one device of the CPE710 model, as an access point with Its large covering range? or we necessarily need two devices? Thank you

      I setup 2 TP-Link CPE710s yesterday for a client. The goal was point to point. The house had brick exterior and the office had a metal exterior. They were mounted to the exterior. The transmitter was setup as Access Point. The receiver was setup as Client. The distance between the buildings was less than 100 feet. I found the transmitter when set to AP could have multiple VLANs. I kept the default SSID between the two devices and made it a hidden network and then setup the client's SSID as a VLAN. The receiver (client) did not have VLAN in that mode. I used a separate AP in the office to broadcast for the office. The transmitter was able to get a great signal to the office. It also covered the whole back yard which was huge. I am not sure of the distance, but the client told me it takes an hour to mow with a 60" zero turn mower. The strength in the back yard was great until the very edge, but I only had the distance set to zero kilometers. Still good enough to easily watch a movie anywhere even in another metal building in the back yard. There were some other modes for the device but I did not investigate their purpose.

      No it won't. But it clips in very easily and has weather severe storms, hail etc for over 2 years. So once it's clipped in this thing is not getting wet :)
