Great video, explained everything I needed to know about the EAP225 - most videos on youtube are just unboxings and speeds, no distance etc. Thanks very much.

Great review and testing Tony! Amazing different with the 5Ghz! I think when you were using the router inside the detached garage, it was bottlenecking the throughput. That EAP225 has great generation. 5Ghz, although it doesn't do distance very, you get the generation, compared to the 2.4Ghz.
Question: what band are your cameras using? If they are 2.4Ghz and were not powered down during test, those will use bandwidth while performing the throughput test. 45+ Mbps is actually impressive on 2.4Ghz with the cams operating. I was having the same issues as you in my detached garage, and didn't know about the EAP225, so I thrnched some outdoor shielded cat5e through conduit into my garage and mounted a Ubiquiti LR UAP, and it is also amazing. Great video and great find with thatbnew device.

Can you explain all of the devices you have for this? I understood that the EAP225 still needed an access point?
We have Starlink at a cottage in Ontario and are trying to extend the wifi to another cabin about 200’ away. We have the Starlink router and the EAP225 but just learned that we should also get something like the RE650 - but it seems you actually disconnected your RE450?
If so, that solves so much of our problem !
    Thanks for the great video!
