The Heartcatch, Smile KiraKira, Tropical-Rouge and Hirogaru Sky openings were the best ones out there imo!

are the best ones for me and i agree with her the second version of it is much better
I always alternate between my top 5 openings because they are literally all so good 😭 in no particular order: Tropical rouge, Fresh, Mahou Tsukai, Splash Star, and Healin' Good. And even past that we have some great hits like Kirakira and Heartcatch! I usually rank these opening based on how willing I am to scream the "PURIKYUA" part like in Fresh, or the chorus like in Healin' good. I also have to agree with the dokidoki opening. I think dokidoki is a criminally underrated precure season with the best music (tied with Kirakira) but the opening to me just missed the mark. I never really found it annoying, but rather forgettable. I didn't actually remember what it sounded like even after listening to precure medleys all the time until I actually watched the series. But the SEROTONIN BOOST I got when I listened to it while watching actually made the experience a whole lot better. Just compared to the others, I think it's a little lacking.
However, at the end of the day... any precure song is better that hugtto's first ending. (In my very biased opinion)

@@user-qg2cj7md5o yes! I think dokidoki is the most underrated season (although it's just my opinion) I get why some people may not like it, but the story and characters just touched me so deeply. It's actually my 2nd favorite season! (even after watching all of them)
@@user-qg2cj7md5o haha that was actually my first season of glitter force 🤣. Although after moving onto precure i've never looked back... It's only gotten better since I started watching it with 19 extra episodes and 2 movies.
Smile precure is my favorite opening. Full of energy with cute lyrics, fun music and cool images. I adore when March runs on the wall and Beauty pull out her ice sword; that's so cool! Splash star too is good, my second favorite cure song 😄`
Suite is calmer than thoses two, i like it! The two versions of the opening are both excellent, always fun to sing.

Wow, this was incredible. Its great to see someone with a musical background explain why certain openings sound the way they do. Personally I love Yes 5's heroic sound and appreciate Hugtto and Healin Good's hopeful vibe.

We NEEEEED a ranking of the endings!!! Seeing DokiDoki's OP being so low kinda broke my heart, but it's probably nostalgia since it was the first I PreCure season watched. I decide which season to watch next based on the opening, so SplashStar, Suite and Fresh are the seasons I'm watching (I might watch Hugtto later just because of that clip of the song in the video lmao)
Dokidoki was my favorite season and the opening was actually kinda good (on the part when they say whatts more than just cute) and it sounds nice because it starts kawaii
DokiDoki's in my top 5- no, 3 favorite seasons, and the way she said it's opening was awful made my jaw drop to the floor. I kinda see what she means about the vocals tho, it's a pretty loud song, but my a$s was jamming to it 49 times for a whole week.

Same for me lol but i can't chose between heartcatch and suite precure for heartcatch its my favourite season In general and one of the few ive seen the most while growing up and suite op sounds so cool like its a straight up bop both are very Nostalgic for me

Okay all my expectations were met with this tier list 😂 Splash Star, Kira Kira, and Heartcatch on top and Doki Doki and Go Princess towards the bottom 😅 but I will say I'm surprised you don't love Healin' Good's opening theme! It's one of my favs! Maybe it'll grow on you with time like Mahoutsukai did! Great video overall! ❤
I’m definitely open to Healin Good’s op, it’s better that I’m not starting off with a sour opinion on it ahahah
I have no idea of music genres, but Fresh's original op verses gives me jazzy or blues-like vibes that feels so uncommon for precure and I feel that it's a bit lost in the Hybrid ver

I understand that since I stopped keeping up religiously with Precure somewhere around Doki Doki, (I briefly came back for Princess and Huggto), my tastes are skewed to the earlier ones, but my favourites are "Max Heart, Splash Star, Yes Gogo, Fresh, and Suite."

So excited to see Smile rank so high! every time I hear that OP I start to jam out so hard. Smile was my first Pretty Cure season, and while it isn't my favorite anymore, "Let's Go!" will always bring the most joy and coziness that Precure can bring out in me.

i will have to humbly disagree with your opinion of doki doki's opening. i am OBSESSED with it and have been since i was about 12 (when i got into precure in the first place) and its such a special song to me! i definitely understand where you're coming from though, it really isnt for everyone
yep my opinion on it is definitely open for change! Maybe part of my response to it is because it came right after a seaon's OP that I really liked (Smile) 🥲 I'm glad to hear others' opinions on it!
I feel like I’ve found my kin here 😭😭 amazing song and precure breakdowns, my favorite has to be either the og futari wa or heartcatch. Suite goes so hard tho
Heartcatch was also the season that got me into Precure, and it's also very dear and nostalgic to me as well.. 😌
Honestly the hardest songs for me to listen to are the songs where Machico is the main vocalist… So Delicious Party and Tropical Rouge’s OPs are very hard for me to listen to regularly. (Her voice is just to shrill for me, sorry!)
HOWEVER, the character version of these songs are BANGERS! The Tropical Club version of Tropical Rouge’s OP is so vibrant and full of life, and it just feels more alive with the characters singing the theme song (which really applies to all the character versions of Precure songs imo).
My favorite Precure OPs besides that one is Star Splash’s op and Mahou Tsukai’s second OP. Splash Star is so fun and catchy and I love the lyric in the chorus, “‘Anata ga daisuki’ tte dareka ga omoutteru,’ (There is someone saying ‘I love you!’).” As for Mahou Tsukai OP2, Rie Kitagawa went SO hard, and her intensity paired with the rock version of the original opening makes the song a chef’s kiss!

I totally agree that listening to an opening on each episode makes you change your mind! It happened to me with each RWBY opening since volume 6 lmao, especially the last one out it's not bad, and it really grew on me, but listening to it made me realise that imo it's missing a couple lines of verses and one more chorus to make it *that* good like Trust love or For every life
I need this concept with OD, but not just the jap openings or the insert songs, but like all the openings (either judging dubs of the openings, or just include the new songs like Just like magic, the christmas Ojamajo de ban², Magica Doremi, and Love SOS the korean Dokkan op)... yes basically I do want to hear (watch?) your opinion on how hard french motto slaps (I will die on this hill, the shouts are more powerful than the jap version, and the added trill at the end of takaramono just wraps it perfectly)

Since you live music if you ever have like 2 hours to spare lmao I highly recommend checking out the sentai and kamen rider openings. They are both shows that started in the 70’s so It’s really cool to see the evolution of pop music in japan!

I rewatch this video every time I get a decent amount of episodes of a new season to see how the season ranked for you in terms of the song.
And to also redo my own ranking in my head, except I never get that far with it because every time you play a few seconds of any of these songs my immediate thoughts are "omg yes i forgot how good this song is (i listened to it today)! This is definitely the best one!" 😂

I've always loved the arrangement of the first version of Fresh's opening! Way more than the hybrid version. Even if the vocals are rough, the first version will always be my favorite! Although I find myself listening the off vocal version the most lol

Excellent. And I don't know if this is good or bad news, but the healing good opening grows hard on you. I don't like the season but I keep singing the "healing goood" part every now and then and I saw it like half year ago.

I love "Twinkle Cutie! Minna de Pretty Cure♪ ~Flower of Life~" and "Pretty Cure Mode let's SWITCH ON!".
The former is from the movie DX3, and the latter is from the game.
I agree so much on the DokiDoki opening loud thing like I CAN RELATE!!! It physically hurt my ear and I usually never listen to it completly!!

Healing Good really is a distant dream, even for people who watched it.
If you ever have way to much time in life, a Ending Theme tier list would be fun! The endings are way more dynamic in my opinion

Also every single song from Kira Kira is musical gold I swear. OP, ED, character songs, it's all great and it's stuck in my head even though I didn't care too much for the season.

I, till this day, still have no idea why people give Huggtto's second half such a hard time. It's still pretty good and even have some of said season's best moments.

Futari Wa was my first season, so Danzen has stuck close to my heart for over a decade. ESPECIALLY the 15th anniversary version, but it's technically the ending song for All Stars Memories lol.

Correction: It's only been 19 years of Pretty Cure. The current season, Soaring Sky(Yes I call it by its English translation) is the 20th season. Toei is basically doing the Super Sentai thing with Pretty Cure where they do their anniversaries by seasons rather than years. The Pretty Cure franchise as a whole doesn't official turn 20 years old till next year in 2024.
I'm fully aware of the discrepancies. Seeing as this year has been and is being highly promoted as the 20th anniversary I was not going to title this "19 Years of openings". Take it up with Toei instead 🤷🏾♀️

Personally... Healin' Good's opening might be my favorite of them all. It was what literally convinced me to give the show a chance after initially skipping it due to constantly hearing that it was kinda meh. Incidentally, all the people claiming it was kinda meh? Buncha malicious liars who are also wrong, Healin' Good is *great,* actually. Well, it does take a hot minute to really pick up steam, admittedly... The turning point for me probably being the point when Cure Earth is introduced. Followed by another pretty substantial uptick about ten episodes later when *that twist* happened. That twist which, on one hand, felt *jarringly* dark for this kind of show, but on the other hand, it did massively increase my investment in the story and make me really, truly *despise* one of its villains on a level that, at least from what I've seen so far, no other season has quite managed to rival.
Even though I DESPISE Kirapre, the opening song is a total bop
