+2 Watching this video was actually torture How can he still forget the dog triggers after playing this game for what feels like two and a half eternities?!
Every time he takes a hedgehog, I shiver. It’s his inner demon. It consumes Egg, plants a seed in his ear, and grabs hold. He’s incapable of pivoting off of it. Once he’s bought it, you know the outcome.
18:30 This is actually the perfect chinchilla use case! Three chinchillas in the shop means you can roll, sell them all once, and buy a 4th unit on turn 1. Makes for an essentially unbeatable team.
There's also the good old triple chinchilla into another single chinchilla for two triples at the same time for the cost of 4 units instead of the usual 6.
Seahorse has always been one of the best late game units that you get in the first shop. It's between the seahorse and the mosquito. Those are the best for late game
Seahorses ruin elephant teams you come up against but I've recently found they're a great addition to your own elephant team. Elephants aren't great scalars so don't do great against teams with a strong pet towards the front but a seahorse brings the weak back animals to the front giving your elephant more triggers. They have a love-hate relationship, the elephant and the seahorse!
@@GodInHisPrime that's what we're saying. The hedgehog was the problem because he never invested into it, it had negative synergy with his pivot and restricted his squad building because he refused to sell it even though he didnt want it for half of the game.
@@GodInHisPrime Right, not saying the second poodle was the problem, it was definitely the hedgehog. But that problem intensifies when the second poodle is bought because that’s more buffs that aren’t distributed properly due to Elephant and Hedgehog being the same level
The combination of dog and mantis is pretty solid because you can use that guaranteed open spot to buff your dog before you combine the animals you already have. It was great that he saw this great synergy and went fully for it.
Its amazing how he places a unit in the free slot then onto the fish, and then 1 second later he just plops the next one right on top for the level. Like he knows what should have been done, he just did it
I've never really been bothered by any NL sap play and generally find the commenters who are bothered very funny. However, I lost my absolute mind this time around with all of the dog triggers being missed.

It’s pretty cool - you read one joke (the most popular comment) and think “hmm, what if this joke was made by someone who has even less friends and reads even fewer books?” and bam! there it is, the second most popular comment.
Normally I am not bothered by his plays ever but he kept that hedgehog frustratingly long. I like pufferfish elephant and it can work but adding poodle and keepinh hedgehog is not only bad but he also got super unlucky with it making it exponentially painful to watch
There were like 5 times mammoth and pill showed in shop at the same time. He never took 4 gold for +8/+8 and shark buff but he buys stew and pizza. Then this man get 10 wins missing dog buff every time. Truly the greatest of all time.
Hedgehog cannibalising the all so important elephant buffs and not running melon-from-turtle on elephant made me unpog into your opposite-of-a-gourd but that's just because I played this godforsaken weekly too much.

16:20 holy mother of pearl you got soooooo unbelievably lucky here, you needed literally both pizzas to hit the bat otherwise you would have lost this upcoming round, but that's not really what's so lucky about it, he had been buying mammoth after mammoth indirectly buffing his bat, and also skipped on a pear and bought a 3rd pizza awhile back, if he hadn't of bought a mammoth or mushroom and instead got anything else (either food or pet), then he couldn't of even got the already low probability of drawing that match at 8%, these constant thoughtless bat buffs saved the 10 piece, even if he didn't know it.

I had a run go to turn 29 last night on the new weekly, a nearly identical build (mantis, usually eagle, walrus, squirrel, shark). I wonder if there's something about the team comp that makes draws more likely. Interesting how peanuts seem to dominate the late late game! I wonder if melon is better than lemon for a last position unit, since they won't get killed by a weak unit with peanuts. Imo it might have been worth it to buff the bat to 21+ attack earlier to get past melon armor rather than rolling for a low chance at chocolate... Doesn't matter at the end of the day considering the result.
He got 3 chinchillas on turn one and he didn't even sell all 3 of them individually to buy a 4th unit (with 0 stats lost and 0 leveling potential lost on the chinchilla side) and completely dominate the first 2 rounds !!!
theres a little leveling potential lost, it keeps you from doing the trick with 4 chinchillas to get 2 level up triggers (which needs you to sell a lv2 chinchilla), but he didn't do it anyway
Getting the bat's attack above 20 should have been his top priority for that exact reason. He lucked out by buying randomly targeted foods with two 50/50s and not getting punished.
