The movie Dog was awesome ! I immediately bought it. Have watched it dozens of times. I found Sturgill because of it. I love this song. Sad Sturgill walked away from music . But he has to live his best life.
Gene Slyman if you can find the version he did on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show a couple years ago, it’s worth it. NBC took it down but it is the best version he ever did of this song. Its on another level of cool. I probably found this version looking for it! 🙂

But the 1st of this song "Turtles All the......." is Luckenbach Texas up & down , sans bevy of drug lyrics; I like this, but I have listened to other songs that I like better; This gets to the "sprit" of the man though. Ain't no Kenny Chesney here! Sounds like Waylon too!
