Anyone who's _not_ a BM fanboy has already realized their prices have gone insane. However, the Claymore is another level of insanity. $360 for injection molded plastic handles and CPM D2 steel? The idea that this is in the same price range as Microtech's OTFs is absolutely incredible.
I have a few benchmade knives, and they are great, but their prices are so far out of line that im not interested in anything else from them. Definitely not worth the money these days... there are plenty other great makers to buy from.
you can get into custom knives for some of the new BM prices. i highly recommend doing that if youre gonna spend that kind of money. some of the Medfords start for less for their "production" models and are still USA made with higher quality materials than BMs
I'd love to own a benchmade but for something I'm probably going to lose as an edc knife I can't justify the cost. They are definitely top notch quality knives.
I disagree, when many other companies, even Chinese ones, are this quality or better, they are no longer top notch, and just average or below average when factoring in price. There is no reason a titanium axis lock in M4 should cost $600+ in 2024. I can buy a made in America Hogue and titanium scales for half that with Magnacut steel.
@@RepEvox As much as I love the benchmades I own (my favorite knife and daily carry ever the Benchmade 928 proxy) they have just gone completely over the top on price while not doing anything any better than a bunch of other makers, if they made the 928 now it would be priced at stupid price level I would bet,, I meen large cpm20cv blade with a large piece of titanium frame lock and g10 handle on ball bearing pivot,, they'ed want a thousand dollars for that knife now,,, sorry Benchmade but you have lost your freakin marbles.

I looked it up. It's not as bad as it sounds. The local cops asked for help destroying seized guns that it was their policy to destroy. Benchmade agreed. The cops posted no social media thanking them. I personally think they should have told them to fuck off, but it's not like they were making an anti-2a statement or something. I still think Benchmade knives are way overpriced, and I'll never own one for that reason.

As someone that loves bushcraft and bushcraft knives, I can tell you that those Siberts are nothing I would ever use. Too thick, too heavy, too boxy, not scandi ground. I love Benchmades, they're really good at pocket knives.

Got their orange blade knife, I think it’s a meatcrafter model. I did not harvest a whitetail last year so I haven’t used it yet, but it’s really good at shaving my arm hair. Can’t wait for next fall
This butterfly knife is interesting, I collect all sorts of them, the weight is reported to be ultra light at 4.2oz, I think 5 is fairly standard for ideal flipping knives, anyways we'll see. just lit that 500 dollars on fire. Benchmade is always good quality balisong knives, i hope it's going to be a great one.
I have a small drawer of Benchmade knives and my main edc knife is a Benchmade Freek with G10 scales. I still have a number of older models on my wishlist, but the new overpriced models are of no interest. Now that everyone can legally make crossbar knives Benchmade doesn't have a corner on the market and their new designs are lack luster, not to mention the insane pricing structure.
